Seems like it's physical on Vita. (in eu at the very least)

You shouldn't worry about a PS4 physical release, because nearly all (if not every) PS4 Bamco game has got/is getting a physical release.
Usually it's up to Vita western owners to be concerned about Vita physical games lol
 
The announcement's got me booting up GE Burst on my Vita haha, it's so great having the second stick for camera. Reminds me how much I hate the dub and hope we get Japanese audio, though x.x Also forgot how quickly you get missions with multiple targets in GE, for those that have played 2 does it keep that? It's both a bit frustrating and fun to have missions sending you after three medium/large targets even in earlier ranks.

The creators said it'll be English only today, news are on Gematsu, Siliconera and I believe it might be somewhere on GAF also. No idea whether it'll be the same cast though.

That's unfortunate but not surprising =/ I'd honestly rather no english dub at all like Freedom Wars x.x Certainly hope it's a different cast though, some of the better characters are just cringeworthy in the Burst dub, even Alisa. =( Half her lines are just read off so that they don't even feel like they fit the situation at all. And every time they pronounce a Japanese name... It's like a perfect example of why dubs in games and anime are looked poorly upon. There's worse out there, but at least once it gets that bad, it becomes funny lol.

I think dubs these days are actually quite good. Back when we got GEB, yeah I remember the dub quality being... Mediocre? But since then I feel like we have come a long way in general. I have yet to play a dubbed game in recent years and be as put off as I was back then, and trust me this is not me having become used to it. I trust the are going to put a lot of care into this game, I think they themselves know just how much we have been waiting for this.

I find them to still be quite hit and miss, though certainly not as bad in general as they used to be. And even in decent dubs there's usually at least one character that ruins it for me x.x Every time I have a dual audio game, I give the english option a chance. Almost every time I end up switching because of something. It's really unfortunate to me, though, that we have dual audio even in games I'd say are probably even more niche than God Eater but can't have it here.
 
I liked GE1's dub. No voice felt out of place to me. It also has a pretty gripping story. I liked a lot of the cast.

And above all, it's damn fun to play, and very challenging.


Over The Clouds is such a great OP. Watched it every time I booted up GH1.

Really? I'm finding myself cringing at every cutscene, especially when Alisa or the doc are involved. And conversations don't feel right... it rarely sounds like they're actually talking to each other.

Yeah I enjoy it too. Though I prefer the original GE1 opening to the Burst version. Preferred the song in its unaltered form and enjoyed the Vajra fight more without various scenes being cut together. The first time(and even now) I watched the original opening I was like "Wow this is gonna be fun!" and it gets me hyped. I never really got that feeling with the Burst opening.

Edit2: Early-ish spoiler for a newcomer, though it's not much in my opinion, but here's an example of the dub. Link starts at 12m if for some reason that doesn't work for someone. Lindow is generally well done in the dub, though he has his moments. Alisa almost always makes me cringe, I wouldn't really consider Sakuya good either. Also I love how the "dammit" when being surrounded by Aragami is just some casual addition to Soma's sentence... Blah. And this is one of the better handled scenes in the early game x.x It doesn't flow at all to me.

I honestly thought it would be a dual release together and the PS4 version would have both on disc. Clearly I was wrong lol.

I'll take it though. Hopefully physical on Vita. Will probably buy this on all three platforms though. Loved the JP demo I played.

That they'd release it on all platforms at/around the same time, perhaps? o.O

I mean, if they release 2 first in general, the only other option would be postpone the Steam release in general, for no good reason.

Edit: All said, though, both games have a Summer release window and nothing more. We don't know for sure they won't be at the same time, even, just that this page went up first on Steam.
 
They might give us Resurrection as a pre order bonus or something

Seems unlikely at this point, but I just don't see how they can release both games an expect them to be successful

I'm confused, the video on store page is GE1 characters, which should be GE:R now. But two of the pictures, 3rd and 4th, is GE2. So, is this actually a package of GE:R and GE2:RB?

Much like me and Toukiden, the setting is cool and refreshing coming from MonHun, but the combat really doesn't click with me at all. :/

I'll still double dip on the PC version of 2, probably.
 
I've seen this as a double pack in the UK for pre order.
Any news when it's hitting the UK?

Still good info for me to have since I'm in charge of the OTs aha. I started working on both already adding basic info and layouts, etc. Guess I'm gonna have to end up stitching both together if they release the game like this.
