Nice. I just recently put Gods Eater Burst back into the PSP. Really enjoy that one. Could continue with the sequel on any of those platforms.

Thats like saying Fire emblem is all about waifus and touching the faces due to one mini-game. I think that mini-game is only in God eater resurrection.

Yeah, this completely optional mode that isn't even part of the main game but sold as an app with the anime totally ruins it.
I hate Fire Emblem for doing that bullshit, too.

It's not in the games, it was an add-on that came the anime Blurays. Don't worry.
I wanted to ask here, no better time than now since everyone's eyes are still on here, would folks prefer the future OT for the titles to have both games in it, or should it be separated into 2 different ones?
Definitely separate, since we don't know if they'll be simultaneous yet. Spoiler talk and multiplayer organization would be complicated.

For people who have played both, should I play Toukiden or God Eater? I've been thinking of picking up Toukiden for PS4, but should I just wait? Which has the more engaging story? Which is less of a grind?
May be better to know how they're being released before trying to decide that. We dunno if they'll be in a bundle, separate or even the same day for sure, after all.
That said, while a single thread would probably be better for community purposes, since this genre outside of MH doesn't tend to have a particularly great community lifespan =(... Separate may be better since there'll be newcomers to the series and managing spoilers for two games in one thread might be a pain in the ass haha.

Yeah that's the thing. If they come in "one package" so to speak it would be considered 1 game, now if it is sold separately, that's totally fair, we'd have to separate for sure. I've signed up for both, as details come up about the game I'll have to make the proper arrangements. I'll try to start it up as early as I can and make both look awesome, but I may need some help when the time comes if we do end up going in the separate OTs route.
That's why I'm not so sure I to handle this one ahaha. I was thinking about the community, specially if the games come in one package since folks could just "hop" from one game to another to play with each other. But then there is also the plot spoilers to worry about. It's a tough decision lol. Hence why I'd like to hear from you all before coming to a final decision.

Having played both God Eater Resurrection and God Eater 2, I think it's worthwhile to say that despite Resurrection being the new release it plays differently enough from God Eater 2 with different mechanics that it makes both games a worthwhile play. One doesn't feel inferior to the other. Only different. I for one support that both games are getting a release. Plus FATE and Over the Clouds are amazing themes.

Pretty much. There are gameplay mechanics that are unique to each game aren't present within each other which makes it refreshing and a different take on how you should approach your foes.

There is a free demo of Toukiden available which is the first chapter. You will know by the end of it if you want to continue. All the stuff you earn in the demo will carry over to the real game if you do decided to pick it up, which is nice.
So are both games going to be released simultaneously?

We don't know yet. They have a Summer 2016 release window, but that's all we know about the release so far.
I disagree. The only difference is Predator Mode vs Blood Arts + Blood Bullets, and Predator Mode isn't good enough to play 14 Ranks worth of missions, with much less monsters and maps.

Pretty much yeah. I liked Freedom Wars, but GE is still without a doubt better in my mind. You can easily lose dozens of hours protyping all kinds of bullet combinations and trying them out in the firing range.

I do hope that cross-play is a thing though. I feel like if it isn't, I'd be more inclined to play on PS4 since PC community may be much smaller? I don't know for this one.

Yeah Sony are usually fine with cross play if the developer wants it. I think really only MS seem to be against it

I'm worried that the vita might be digital-only since they Bandai Namco has been releasing their vita titles that way lately.
It's getting a physical release according to Bamco Spain.

Vita retail is dead in US so that won't happen there but an EU retail release is on the cards for sure.
Cool. I played a bit of the PSP original, but it'll be nice to play it in HD with trophies.
Sword Art Online: Lost Song got a physical release. Hopefully it performed well enough for BN to consider releasing other titles at retail.
