Infinity War Part 1 should either end with a) Thanos destroying half the galaxy, b) The Guardians meeting the Earth-bound Avengers, setting them up for space travel in the sequel, or c) Thanos completely jobbing the heroes the first part primarily focuses on.

My head-canon is that Thanos is about to kill a major Avenger i.e. he has Iron Man's head in his fist, then some ridiculously 80's anthem is heard and the Milano bursts out of the sky, open-firing on Thanos's army.

It's an advance screening of Captain America: Civil War. Based on the location of people who tweeted the most about the movie.

Any equivalent sort of thing in the UK ? Already have tickets booked for the 29th but would love to give it a watch sooner if possible.

You're seeing the movie early

wait

what

I really doubt Infinity War Part I is going to go at all how people imagine it going. I'm thinking it's going to be more of a prologue, setting up the actual Thanos throwdown and leaving the shit hitting the fan for part II. They aren't going to leave the Marvel universe in enormous disarray with a ton of dead heroes when they still have to get people to care about a second Ant-Man movie and Captain Marvel coming out in between.

True, but whatever way they slice it it's going to be weird. It COULD be a prequel with Guardians and Thor stopping Thanos's incursion, sure, but then why call it Avengers?

Ant-Man and Captain Marvel could well take place before IW part 1.

So what's the catch with these tickets? Do we have to pay? Or is there just some kind of survey afterwards? I probably should've read the fine print before getting mine, haha.

I signed up for San Antonio, but theater not assigned yet, I wonder if I'll get to see it early??

Edit: see it first says I have 2 tickets - whoop!

I'm so glad some of you guys were able to get tickets! I actually had no idea this was happening until my buddy on Twitter sent me the link. Was able to cop 2 just in time.

I'll likely have to post an advanced screening primer before Thursday so everyone knows the drill.

Usually not.

I'M NOT JAY

Here's the general catches;

Free tickets
No surveys (usually)
It's a Disney screening, so THEY WILL TAKE YOUR PHONE BEFORE THE SCREENING. You either put it in your car or it goes in a paper bag and they give you a ticket to pick it up afterward.

The lines will be MASSIVE. If you aren't there about 90 minutes before the screening, expect to not get in.

Wait, they gave out more tickets than there are available seats?

So I live in Columbus and got 2 tickets for Cincinnati. Now I have to determine if it is worth taking part of Thursday and all of Friday off work to go see it? Plus I'd have to get there early enough to ensure that I actually get in...

Hmmm....

Sounds fine. I did that for BvS last month at the Seattle Science Center IMAX, but the line wasn't that bad.

Wait, they gave out more tickets than there are available seats?

They always overbook advance screenings to ensure as close to a full house as possible.

With highly anticipated screenings like this one, it will be full and then some.

Oddly enough, BvS advance screenings were tied to a special preview event a year beforehand, which very few people went to, so the theaters weren't full at all

oh god, if i get in this and if i have to wait three hours to get into this i don't know what i will do

i probably can't bring my 3ds or vita

what will i do

READ A BOOK?
