Dark Souls 3 Pre-Load on Steam is online

Really? Poop.

That was slight hyperbole. They've typically sent them out within 24 hours, just like they claim they will. It's that I've had one game key sent out 12 hours prior (which doesn't matter since I was still able to play at launch) and another not until ten hours after the launch, but we were all warned ahead of time by a lot of sources not to take any chances with GMG with TW3.

They might start sending out the keys today or tomorrow. I really have no idea, but I went ahead and got a refund anyway and now have it installed.

The GMG voucher is only good on the Standard Version...not the Deluxe

GamesPlanet doesn't have a US site but if you're paying with PayPal it converts the price to USD when you're paying

Yeah, my converter was off. I'm just going to purchase the standard edition from GMG. I'll pick up the season pass later on during a sale.

Holy shit. I just took a chance with Gamesplanet, never having heard of them before, and I literally got my key in less than a minute after purchasing the game from them (for the same as what I had paid for it at GMG).
Very happy with Gamesplanet's service too, first time buying there. Read on reddit that preload was up, checked my Gamesplanet account and the key was already there.

I'm so hype, I just want to go to sleep till the game unlocks. I gotta get to the store and get some snakes for game night

Haven't gotten my key yet (from CDkeys), but since i have a pretty slow HDD but fast download speeds, just downloading it at launch day is probably faster then pre-loading and unpacking anyway :)

Thanks now I Iegit want to buy and eat snakes while playing DS3. I haven't eaten those in years and I'm now somehow 100% sure it's the only way to play.

Edit: on the other hand a bag of crocodiles is superior so I'll go for that instead

so is something wrong with greenmangaming? I see they've changed their webpage, but now everything is in pounds instead of $ and if I go to the sign in page to go to my account, it doesn't seem to load correctly and there are no places to type anything in

First time I bought from Gamesplanet.com got my key literally the moment it went up for pre-load. Good stuff.

Sorry, I'm sure this has been beaten into the ground by now, buying from Gamesplanet won't cause any issues for an American Steam Account? If their keys are direct from Namco, I'm more than willing to give them a shot.

Yes they are legit and authorized. You can buy from US without problem. The game is only region locked in Japan and Korea.
When you join this steam group and link your account you also get an additional 5% off.

Fuck it, I'm in. £30 from Gamesplanet with the 5% off. I've used them many times and they're an official reseller so why pay £10 more from Steam? This will be my first Dark Souls game at launch.

(key arrived immediately, pre-loading now)

Just pre-ordered along with the Steam controller since the bundle brought the price down a bit and my 360 pad is starting to wear out completely now. Is there a way to VPN into an English version of the game early perhaps? Using JPN VPN maybe?

I was about to buy the Pad too but is it really worth it?
Do you have any more info on that?

Can not wait for this! Got the CE preordered, going to sell the game back and get a Steam Card with it to buy it on PC. So I won't be preloading, but I am beyond excited!

Took me thirty minutes to pre-load. Unpacking goes pretty fast for me. Last time I had to unpack a game was a bigger size and still took less then download time.

^ On HDD yes.

Well I've been debating buying one for a while and this worked out the cheapest way. They DO whack an extra £7 on at the end for shipping but it still comes up at around £31 which is a saving of around £9 versus GAME, not to mention they (GAME) seem to require you buy £20 credit for steam while you're at it. I'm not expecting any rapid shipping though being Valve. Unless you already need the pad I wouldn't bother.

Biggest issue is comfort and face buttons, I saw a thread that there is new revision of the controller coming up so I wouldn't bother buying one now, it has learning curve to it too.

I know more people buy this on the PS4 but it has gotten quite popular on PC, huh?

Weren't there issues with hackers and shit on the other games for PC?

It has sold more on PC AFAIK.

Yeah I've used them twice now for this and The Division, and they've gotten the keys out very early both times.

Like most PC releases, yes.

Most likely, but Souls games are primarily single player, so it shouldn't affect many people.
Never preloaded something on steam, but is the unpacking really taking that long ?
It only took a long time for me when I preloaded Mortal Kombat X, but that game was ~50GB
