So it seems he was an NFL player? I actually misread it and thought that Will Smith the actor had been shot.

Thats a damn tragedy. Has any info been released yet? I heard someone say it was a very light impact car accident that got out of hand. RIP, that sucks so much.
 
That pic of Pierre Thomas reminds me of hearing Javon Walker talk about the night Darrent Williams was murdered.

I don't follow football anymore. I understand it doesn't matter how good or bad he was and that he shouldn't have been shot and that's horrible that someone shot at them during an accident.

But is he quite known in the NFL? A top de? Doesn't matter, just curious.

Really feel we need anger management for all in schools. Just like sex ed. Not cause your angry, just to bring home stupid things are to get angry over them

No one should be shot in these situations unless they are under severe harm.

I figure there isn't a lot of story but did both parties have guns?

Here's a statement from police regarding the incident, but in short: Smith was rear-ended by another driver, causing him to rear-end a car that was in front of him. He ended up exchanging words with the driver that hit him, who then shot him and wounded his wife.

I know sometimes we want to get in someone's face for doing something stupid, but to be shot to death and his wife nearly killed for something he said to another guy? So irrational, so heartbreaking.

To be fair, we don't exactly know what degree of murder this man should be charged with. Perhaps Smith made a threat on his life? I'm not saying he did, just speaking in hypotheticals.

In any scenario it's a tragic waste of life.

I understand, but if you read closely you'll see it wasn't just about the accident. It was about Smith confronting him and we're not sure what he said to the other man yet...

I don't care if he said he'd do some heinous shit to this guys wife/mother/sister whatever.

Unless Smith was flashing a gun in this guys face, there is no justification to fucking kill him. Not to mention that he nearly killed the mans wife, as well.

Upon reading the article again, I believe it was the other driver who confronted Smith in his vehicle while he was still in the driver's seat, and his wife in the passenger's.

No justification, my apologies.

I was in a wreck where a guy rear ended me at a red light, slamming my car into a car in front of me and the guy in front got out pissed off as fuck.

The guy who caused the accident knew he fucked up but still argued back a bit and I separated them. Even in response to that guys anger that is no justification for someone to shoot someone else. I don't care what the fuck anyone says to the other person. Unless Smith was straight up pounding on the dude the other guy was a coward piece of shit for pulling a gun and shooting him and his wife.

Exactly. At the end of the day, it's just cars and insurance companies exist for this reason. Accidents happen and it seems like nobody was actually injured as a result of the accident itself which makes this all the more tragic. Somebody lost their mind and it caused another man to lose his life.
