I got a code for £5 of an order over £50 over at Game.co.uk. I'm not going to use it in the foreseeable future, so if anyone wants it go ahead. Since I don't know how to make hide the code so you have to quote to get it, I'll just leave it here.
And hope a fellow member and not some lurker takes it.

What store?

Once again, I have to question this. RGB is miles off the beaten track and the quality of its stock is generally mediocre. They'd started vacuum sealing SFC games the last time I went there, which prevented me from checking the quality of the cart, manuals and inserts prior to purchase. Even then, there were only a handful of interesting things there.

They've vacuumed packed the Super Famicom cases? Yeah, that's really not good.

Admittedly, as I've always lived in East or North London, I've only been to the store twice. Once was a week after opening and the second was in early 2013. My impressions are based upon those visits and look like they are increasingly out of date, sadly.

No, I ordered Sword Art Online: Lost Song actually. Since they where selling it for £16.99.
And as Linkstrikesback said anyone who placed an order between 19th March – 13th April got a code. =)

WTF GAME they cancelled my order , but the people on HUKD who ordered after me got theirs...

Also, if anybody see's a Physical FFXIV heavensward for the PC cheapish can you post it here? Thanks.

I used the code, thanks a bunch for this. GAME are distributing free DLC if you ordered the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy XV from them, so I've been meaning to switch my preorder over to them from the Square Enix Store today. So not only am I getting more DLC with the edition, I'm saving a fiver too now. Thanks again.

Your welcome! Glad it came to good use, would have been a waste if somebody couldn't use it. Great about more DLC and saving money! =)

Ditto - it appears that, essentially, GAME dealt with orders on a last in, first out basis... Suffice to say, I'm not happy in the least.

Man I'm the last to jump on the GAME hate train on this thread but, that's like some next level of stupidness...Who designs an order system that way =| .

I've known Amazon to prioritize new orders over pre-orders before as well.

That said, they're not exactly known for being good for pre-orders anyway.

In case anyone missed it, or wasn't aware, the Lego GTA game for Wii U is now a select game so it's £20 or under.

It originally had a very limited print and I would always see preowned ones going for £40+ on Amazon!

Well, I don't see how that's any different than prioritizing people who ordered after release over pre-orderers. :P

Both are utterly fucking stupid.

Oh, I understand with Amazon since they probably favor wanting to make good on their 24 hour prime promise (it's still kinda dumb) but their fulfillment is on a whole different level and customers are sorted between prime +non prime.

amazon are weird with me and i mean weird whenever i've pre-ordered a blu-ray it comes on the sunday before and they mostly send stuff via logistics within a day or 2 after ordering depending on if i ordered it early or late and it comes next day but it'll usually say estimated delivery is 3 full days after dispatch, i don't have prime either

Yeah but that happens even if you have prime and have pre-ordered. :P

Their system just sucks.

I'm searching for the link to the page showing all digital PSN deals (for all countries or at least NA, including amazon.com).

name was something "psn...." (duh)

It came! Not bad for £20. Thanks GAF!

After the mess with Mario Party 9 at GameSeek I'm seeking a refund through PayPal for it as I'm not dealing with them any more. I can get MP10 with the Mario amiibo for €29 new, is it even worth that much or is €20 the most I should pay for it?

I've been trying to order No Man's Sky LE off Game with the £5 off voucher, and either when I try to log in it says 'please try again later' or when I get to the card verification screen it crashes. Very annoying.

I work there... Pray for me (and give me hand sanitizer)

And yeah, some of the stuff people trade in we then sell for over double the price sometimes
I've only ever been to one store one time, but can you confirm why every store (according to Internet reports) stinks to high heaven? Can you not speak to HR about this?

Also, I hope you carry around a small bottle of hand sanitiser with you. Make sure you have a thorough shower when you get home each day and please avoid touching anything non-essential before you do.

Joke...no, I'm serious.

CEX's prices are high because a huge chunk of their transactions are handled through trades, so people with vouchers are locked to them and can't shop around for cheaper.
It's a scam.

Not even that. Cexs prices are high because they have no competition. Once Gamestation closed down/rebranded as GAME it was a wrap.

Routinely you can now buy cheaper new than Cex sells second hand for alot of titles. The prices they charge for recent releases were the prices that they used to reserve for games they had a couple weeks before offical release.

Now a game 2 months old can cost £38-40 quid. Piss right off.

However their high prices lead to high trade-in prices and Game promise to beat any rival trade in by a pound. So you can rack up some store credit for Game to use on new releases which tend to be the same price everywhere.

I still don't understand why anyone trades in to these places. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a much better price on eBay.

eBay has a lot more faff, though. You're likely to be passing near a CEX over the course of a week. Sure, eBay is on your phone/computer, but then you've got to pack the item, get the right postage, and take it to a post office (may or may not be out the way). There's also an element of responsibility about handling everything right, being a relatively courteous seller, and then making sure you get paid for it.

Just handing it over at a shop is infinitely easier.

(Not saying it's better!)
