How come Birdy is the only character that has literally aged and gone to pot, while most of the cast look like they've barely aged a day?!
Birdie doesn't really look older to me, just fatter.

Bison and Dhalsim don't look older to you?Nash is literally rotting away!
You can't attack donuts the way Birdie does and come away unscathed sadly.
Not too mich time has passed between IV and V since the gap between 2 and 3 is only a few years. The cast is made up of charcters who train regularly, itMs not like they'd let themselves go when their main goal/career involves being in shape.Bison's hair has turned white, while Dhalsim had grown a scraggly beard. Physically, they both look identical and haven't changed much. Aside from his frankenstein body parts, Nash looks the same, as well.

Thats the US Air Force uniform without the coat.

Karin looks alot older. She went from a school girl to an adult women between the alpha games and sfv.Bison and Dhalsim don't look older to you?Nash is literally rotting away!

Even characters with very little changes got some agong/visual difference. Gief is showing age lines and Ryu's face looks older/less round for example.
Well, outside of Karon, Birdie and Nash the characters have only aged a couple of years max since their last appearance in the series. Small things like crows feet, beatds and a new hairstyle are all that can really happen in a short amount of time.I would actually chalk that up to an art style change and higher fidelity. Honestly none of the cast to me look older except Karin.
Vega gets full on overhaul, and Guile gets a super retro stance. I have no idea what to expect out of Boxer.Fuck, his stance is perfect
By that logic, why is any CA flashy at all? Why not just go back to Super-style "special moves with shadows"?

I'd be okay with this

I really like Guile, I really do...
but there are too many blonde fighters in this game.
I wonder if this is the free stage for the season pass owners

"Free" ? I would hope the season pass includes everything being released for 2016. Free ain't what it used to be...
It is indeed! This is probably my favorite incarnation of guile, due in no small part to that music and the classic stance! He looks so badass, lets hope his va isn't too corny!Man that is sick.
The music is perfect.
I am still hoping we get Mika's stage. That would be incredible...

Regarding Guile's stage: I'd never thought I'd say this as one of the biggest stage-focused people here, but while I appreciate them releasing a new stage so soon, I'm not sold on the fact that they're actually straight up lifting an old stage from SFII without at least updating it so that it reflects the newer time period used in SFV. The plane should have been replaced with a newer model for instance, as should the radio.
As it is, this stage doesn't really make any sense apart from being a nostalgic throwback, a time capsule or a museum piece, while it could have been an actually updated and used military airfield that makes sense in the current SFV world. Nitpicky? Perhaps, but that's how I feel as someone who values artistic consistency and freshness over the safety of nostalgia.
He looks great but are we seriously getting 3 Americans in a row for DLC?
Ibuki's American? Since when?
Just want to point out that the plane absolutely should not be a newer model. The F-16 is still in standard use by the USAF, and will be until at least the mid 2020's. There isn't really a newer model to replace it. The only other multi-role fighter used by the US is the F/A-18, which is used by the Navy, not the USAF.
Holy shit, like a boss!I really like his victory pose
Theme seems like a reflection of how far Guile has come in the series.

I see. I'm doubtful that this was the main reason for keeping it but thanks for pointing this out. Not to veer too far off-topic but what about the F-22 Raptor then, developed by the USAF? Has it not replaced the F-16 either?

Awesome, the classic SF2 stage.
