Worse than Fox News at this point

Worse long before now.

Also the Mariners won the only series they've played this year. Just gonna throw that out there.

Now the St Louis Cardinals, I believe that is something we can all come together in our hatred.
Politics and béisbol don't mix breh. And The cardinals are an exemplary franchise which all teams should strive to emulate.

Keep being feisty till I hand you that furry avatar big boi.
Bullpen gonna go 9 innings all non Tanaka starts and lead us to 110 wins. We will start a bp revolution and take down the establishment that is traditional thinking in béisbol.

Sorry, I edited it a bit, and I agree, but like, do people actually authentically care about closed primaries and caucuses or are they just proxy wars for their candidate they want to win? It makes it hard to discern where the anger at the injustice is coming from.
Who knows? I doubt most people except the most hardcore election wonks even knew about the six month deadline. I don't find the sudden fervor on social media surprising.

Wish they'd just say "damn blacks" and be done with it.

At the end of the day not having any minority support at all is what's killed Bernie.
I find this very insulting as a POC. Hillary won 73% of the Hispanic vote in 2008 and 63% today. Could you stop erasing us?

Would you look at that.

I shouldn't be surprised, because he's Turkish. But definitely surprised after seeing him acting like he's the most progressive being on Earth, only second to Bernie himself.

Denying the Armenian Genocide is not a modern "progressive" position to take.

Maybe? But I find it a bit disingenuous that now we're champions against voter disenfranchisement.

He was an anti-abortion, anti-gay conservative when this was published, but has since evolved on these positions, hopefully on acknowledging the Armenian genocide too.

Even when he changed his positions to more liberal ones 10 years ago, he was hugely transphobic, but has also now evolved in that view too.

Wow, lots of hate for TYT here. Uh, they are an unabashedly-progressive YT channel. If you thought they weren't going to support Sanders and shred Hillary, you haven't been watching them very long. They've savaged Obama over the years too. Now I think they've taken their Sanders support way over the top, but I still enjoy their coverage of the GOP race and other topics.

That Armenian genocide thing from Cenk isn't new. He was a constitutional Republican too at one point. People change their minds over time, who'd a thunk it?

Why is that Warren and Cenk can be liberal heroes for "evolving" on things but Clinton is history's greatest monster because she worked for Goldwater 50 years ago.

Yeah, I thought about the fact that it was early this season when I wrote that. But I live in Mariners territory (as an ex-pat) so they're the first team I thought of.

firefly! good one brah

Oh hey, someone caught that reference.

Dude's name should be Cenkachu. He does more evolving than a pokemon.

I'm not a TYT fan but positions can change, and this looks like it was written a loooong time ago.

Has he ever explained it? I thought some pretty stupid stuff when I was a kid (I never denied genocide, but still)

He also seems to be the only person on TYT who has at least somewhat accepted Clinton's nomination, and every time I watch their Primary coverage he's trying to ease in the inevitability of it.

What exactly do you expect of "Borg Queen" (your words) supporters? To be super nice to the people running around throwing childish insults and accusations at the candidate of their choice? That's pretty fucking rich.

What's pretty fucking rich is that you either never figured out or are pretending not to know it was an obvious reference to the stupid "Yass Queen" meme in PoliGAF.

It was the Hillary supporters who started calling Bernie supporters "Bernie Bros" first the last I saw. But you'll pretend that didn't happen too I'm sure. You'll also pretend that Hillary supporters didn't go around accusing Bernie supporters of all being privileged young white males, which is actually what the pejorative "Bernie Bros" was meant to encapsulate in one convenient all-encompassing insult.

Why is that Warren and Cenk can be liberal heroes for "evolving" on things but Clinton is history's greatest monster because she worked for Goldwater 50 years ago.

Because progressives are allowed to progress. I personally disavow all of the ridiculous hysteria against Hillary, my only qualm with her is her recent record in regard to transgender rights, she's a perfectly fine candidate in every other regard.

Dude's name should be Cenkachu. He does more evolving than a pokemon.

Hillary, Obama and hell, Bernie too, were anti-gay marriage 10 years ago. Like I said, progressives are allowed to progress.

Maybe? But I find it a bit disingenuous that now we're champions against voter disenfranchisement.
I'm sure some people are being disingenuous, sure. I imagine it's also hard for people to get excited about registration deadlines back in October before there was any hint of a competitive primary too. It'd be great if people were gung-ho about it earlier than this past week, but it's not a "sexy" topic that people are going to rally around. It's essentially a topic like infrastructure spending.

I'm a Bernie guy, but I'll definitely vote for Hillary if she's the nom.

This is what has lost me about some Bernie supporters. Iirc, Bernie himself has pointed out in debates that Hillary is loads better than any Republican candidate, yet certain Bernie supporters seem adamant about equivocating Hillary with the GOP opposition. Why??

I can tell you from first hand knowledge of civic meetings that nothing puts a room to sleep faster than talking about infrastructure.

Sorry but this doesn't ring true for me. TYT doesn't have a '99.6% of poor households have FRIDGES' equivalent moment, or anything close to it.

This is a video where Cenk defends Hillary against the right-wing hate machine. Expect a lot more of this type of thing in a few months.

They support Bernie and shit on anything that Hilary does. Thats incredibly biased. They misrepresent positions and facts of the people they don't agree with. I watched about 2 minutes today and one of the guys was talking about how Hilary Clinton is pro-fracking, which simply isn't true.

What the fridge thing is is incredibly distasteful, misleading and stupid, but at its core it is an attempt to misrepresent facts and positions to put your opponents position in a bad light and your position in a good light, which is exactly what TYT do.

And didn't Fox News shit on Trump for a long time? Have their preferred candidate? Shit on the rest and support the one that they like, but support them all when they are attacked by the true enemy? That is basically what TYT did with defending Clinton. I have no doubt that Fox News will get behind whoever is the Republican nomination just like TYT will grudgingly tell people to vote for Clinton

It wouldn't put me to sleep. =(

Hell, it'd probably make me pay more attention.

I mean I'm right there with you (especially since I now live in Massachusetts, the pothole capital of the universe), but for 90% of the common voter base, it's about as interesting as watching paint dry, despite its importance.

I am honestly curious how they plan to pivot toward Clinton, after all they've done. Once the Bernie Circus has packed up and gone home, they're going to need to have something to talk about so they can maintain an audience.

Did you see my other post by any chance? Re: POC vote.

I did, as a POC myself (Poly) it wasn't meant to dismiss the hispanic vote, it was just to demonstrate that Bernie lost because he couldn't court anybody that wasn't white or over the age of 30, the exit polls in NY confirm it.

The guy needed to make a hard push to get minority votes and he didn't. He dismissed it as "they'd come to him because they'd know he's best for them" which is a VERY dangerous line of thought.

Have TYT always been like this? I've known of them for a long time, but could never be bothered to watch their stuff.

Ok, it's just that I found the idea that Bernie had no minority support "at all" to be very diminishing. It reads like yet another microaggression as people try to portray Bernie's base as only white, ignoring real POC that actually exist. It's exhausting.

Is your quote an actual quote or are you paraphrasing? Do you have a link?

You just rationalized a(n) Armenian holocaust denier.

For the record, I've been listening to Cenk for over a decade, back when TYT were on Sirus Left (the satellite channel).

Conpletely agree, positions change and people can evolve ok issues. Which is why I find it even more laughable that they've been so anti-Hillary for doing some the same things. In fact, from what I can tell, he was even more conservative than Hillary ever was.

Have TYT always been like this? I've known of them for a long time, but could never be bothered to watch their stuff.

I am not a regular watcher at all. I have watched some this election cycle and that definitely has been my impression. I am sure if you watch some of the recent clips you can find out for yourself.

Considering that the Young Turks were the leaders of Turkey during the Armenian Genocide, and his site/channel/whatever is named for them, this seems unlikely...

The name of the show has always been my #1 reason for never wanting to watch them. There is no acceptable reason to use THAT for your name, not with what the namesakes did to one of their countries' largest minorities!

Funny how they can't seem to expand that thinking to other candidates........

When Bernie or Cenk or any REAL progressive is caught changing positions it's an evolution. When Clinton does it, they shriek and call her a liar.
