Looks like the rumor of it being for sale at midnight on iTunes was false. Unless they go by midnight PST?

Edit - I guess it might be midnight PST since apple is a west coast company. But I thought they updated the iTunes Store on EST. maybe I'm wrong tho.

Exceptions are made all the time, but generally new albums go up 9PST.

could be Monday night, giving Tidal the exclusive for 48hrs. You can purchase it on Tidal now also instead of streaming.

It's on iTunes.

2 days of tidal exclusivity means the the marital problems are real. Lol

This album is a lot less interesting without the visuals and poems.

First full listen. I'm lukewarm. I'll give it some more tries. Was a big fan of the last album.

It's something different and not something I'm looking from Beyonce. Definitely not something that'll get repeated listenings.

Beyonce Self Titled was really my introduction to her and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Since then...thanks to my partner >_> I've become a larger fan of hers than I would of ever thought. She is incredibly versatile and her growth as an artist cannot be matched. Lemonade is raw and savage. It is growing on my the more I listen to songs. 6 Inches, Hold Up, Sorry, Daddy Lessons, Freedom and Formation are among my favorites.

what are you looking for from her?

Good rnb that you can just have playing in the background while having a good time. Don't really care much for James Blake's howling, country pop and that song with Jack White. Also rather tired of The Weeknd at this point.

Currently destroying iTunes worldwide.

The album is #1 and several songs are in the Top 20.

Formation is about to hit #1, it's going up really fast and leaving all the Prince songs behind.

Cross post:

Where can I get Lemonade in HD to watch? With self titled, iTunes only ever releases videos for purchase in standard definition so that's what I had to buy, but eventually a Blu Ray edition came out a few months after the original DVD release in physical.

Right now the Lemonade physical listings are for DVD versions an I will not subscribe to TIDULL suddenly and make them think this exclusives mess is good.

I can do without the visuals, but there's something to be said about the pacing of the video version vs the normal album. I'd love to hear a version of this where they went full concept album and weaved all the poems + skits + ambiance in between the tracks. The build up made tracks like Daddy Lessons, Freedom, and All Night hit way harder.

no no,

This album is fucking amazing.

Just dripping with that Blake/Brion/Blaze harmonics all in service of just the most bombastic shit.

Holy shit. Can't stop listening to it.

This album is hot, and I don't even like Beyonces music.

She goes in hard. Dark, deep and raw.

I agree.

I'm not a huge fan of Beyoncé outside of a few singles. As a counter argument to someone above, this is exactly what I'm looking from Beyoncé. Going beyond her typical style and doing something with a concept that breaks genres. And going in raw with the dragging, I LOVE IT. I only wish the James Blake track was longer, could have been the best song on the album.
