Okay. So I love the hell out of this game. Been playing since the beta went live on Xbone, and am just now getting off to relax for the night.
Mercy is my healer of choice. But she's so squishy! How can I increase her survivability?
What is the post release support going to be like for this? I mean, will maps/modes/characters be free in updates with optional skins and the like for purchase? Will maps/characters cost money? Will the game just ship as is with no additional content planned?

Mei is Chinese. D.Va is Korean.Been trying it on PS4. Tried out the tutorial and then a match with AI bots. It's really good.
Only tried two characters so far, Tracer and the Korean with the ice gun (can't remember her name), but gonna mix it up once I get it into actual matches and see what fits.
But this has promise. Last time I got into a shooter this imaginative was Team Fortress 2 and constantly playing on 2Fort.
All maps and modes are gonna be free.

Game is pretty good, but man it falls into the same pitfall as so many other team FPSers:
Support is extremely advantageous to the point of being necessary.
There's only four support heroes.
One of them stinks in comparison to the others (Symmetra.)
And only one of them has the healing capability to keep a tank up under sustained fire (Mercy.)
So you chances of winning is heavily altered on this single Mercy champion being on your team. And she's boring as hell. She's the medic from Team Fortress 2. Yaaay.
I mean, even if every support champion was extremely capable you only get four to choose from. Maybe that's the testament to how boring support roles can be. Unless you're the engineer from Team Fortress 2.

Symmetra is fantastic, especially once you memorize the map layouts better.

Who cares? esports hardly represents the average game dynamic.? mercy is hardly necessary in competitive team comps, zen/lucio are typically preferred for their vision and team heal/speed respectively

Not really, she's pretty good, I've seen great Symmetra players.

Nah she's a gimmick, a gimmick that has to keep momentum up throughout the game. As opposed to Mercy who can push back on a big enemy push and recover, Symmetra kinda just stands there sheepishly, casting worthless shields and trying to resetup her traps.
they'd be even more effective as the other heroes

when you can't beat the argument, try to discredit the authorwho cares about your awful day-1 analysis?
Yeah the teleport is great, it feels like it's waaaay more unprotected. And after it's destroyed you just kinda... wait.teleports can be a pretty big deal to get to objective quick
although ive seen mercy res a reaper on the point who then ulted and team wiped
symmetra is great if you like fucking with people
or spawn camping

I'm the only one that argued it on the merits of mechanics. The counter arguments I received are just "other people think you're wrong."Your argument is literally "Who cares about your argument? I am right because I say so."

When did the beta codes go out? I haven't received anything from Best Buy even though I preordered a long time ago. Should I call?
Thanks!http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Game-Codes-Read-Me-First/td-p/864303
Use this. They'll get it to you fast. They did for me.
Junkrat is so much fun, especially against newbies.

People are idiots
Push the payload by myself just shy of the end but can't finish because the morons would rather play tdm
Junkrat and Lucio are so far my favorite both really awesome, Junkrat especially due to his personality "Ill just..leave this here!.
