Anyone have any videos of people playing on consoles? Been checking on Twitch but everyone is on PC.

Actually found some. Looks pretty good.

Ok i thought we were talking Betas and Alphas, not early access. Early access sure. Betas and Alphas.. very, very rare compared to those where your progress resets.

I was just saying early access as a broad inclusive term, which is really what it means anyway. I think it is very common for betas to have progress carry over. Less common for alphas, which usually aren't made public anyway.

Nosgoth (rip), smite, heroes of the storm, firefall... some games with real progression as opposed to overwatch which is purely cosmetic.

sometimes just disrupting their back line and making people chase you is more valuable than fighting on the point. Tracer is especially good at it thanks to rewind. I typically rack up a ton of kills with her though, a huge factor for surviving as Tracer is knowing where the health pickups are and which heroes to avoid. Roadhog for example will easily one shot you up close but Reinhardt is free.
That's indeed the optimal way to play Tacer. Be a solo rogue-like player and sit behind enemy lines picking off the squishy heroes, especially support heroes

When I play Tracer I tend to avoid fighting tank heroes unless I have teammates helping. Roadhog is a particularly dangerous hero for a Tracer to run into; if you don't immediately blink/recall out of there you will die in literally one hit (or hook, which also stuns stopping you from using abilities. he is quite deadly). Luckily you can kite tank heroes since they are so slow, but they usually have some sort of heals or backup and it takes some time to kill them. Your better off getting help from teammates in those situations. I tend to just runaway from tanks, and instead just scout for the squishy heroes.

Tracers should be using the Blink ability pretty much nonstop, since your always on the move. Plus it difficult for other heroes to hit you with anything. As for her Recall ability, I tend to use it as a heal. When I am fighting 1v1 and drop to ~20% health, i'll Recall and go back to full health, essentially needing to be killed twice. That way your 150 health is more like 300. It's also very important to pick your fights and run away when know you will die.
Thanks guys, some really solid tips. I need to go after more of the healers really.

My sister who rarely plays PC FPS games texted me and told me she just went 35-1 with DVa. Safe to say she loves this game lol

I can't find an offensive hero that I like. Every other type I've chosen a main, but all the offensive heroes just aren't to my liking.

When theres good healers/support on your team

Have they said how you unlock more skins or loot boxes in general? There's no way you'll hit cap and get everything. Maybe daily quests or something similar to unlock a loot box a day?

There's a cap?

Also, dupes give you credits, credits will (eventually) buy boxes

Originally I thought no scoreboard wouldn't bother me, but as more and more time goes by I actually do want a scoreboard, just for comparisons sake.

You get a crate every time you level up. There is no level cap and the XP required to level up caps at 22k per level. You basically get a crate every 15-20 matches, I think, once you hit the XP cap.

Credits can be used to buy individual items (skins, emotes, sprays, etc.), not more crates.

Played beta on both PC/PS4.
I would prefer the PC version because it controls slightly better but PS4 runs and plays really well too.I feared console versions could have issues with controls but Blizzard did a very good job porting the game.
My fav. heroes so far are Roadhog,Reaper and Soldier 76.
Great game,very addicting.Glad i pre-ordered.

How are the controls on the consoles, I was curious since you've played 2 different versions

Good luck playing a Mercy baby sitting a Bastion in turret mode with damage buff. If you're playing randoms who cannot coordinate any sort of counter then it's not even close.

Guys this is the greates game ever!!!!

Just got play of the day as a healer playing as zenyatta. 3 of the other teammates use their insta kill supers in the zone we were defending. Then I block all 3 of them by making my whole team invincible it was glorious :)

First time I've ever played a game with kbm. Unsurprisingly, I'm getting bumfucked. How do I change this quickly?

If you're talking about missing a lot. I suggest you watch the kill cam when someone takes you out and see if you are over shooting, not turning fast enough, too slow, etc. Depending on what it is you can adjust the mouse sensitivity accordingly. I had to leave it on default and set my DPI on the first option. May seem slow to some, but I'm hitting a lot more.

The waifu wars have begun....

I have no idea who I'd choose yet, tho widowmaker, tracer, pharah and mercy are def on the short list

Now were they hard to play because of the control setup or were they heroes you had issues playing as even on the pc?

Mei is like a garbage truck on fire by comparison. All hail tracer!

Some heroes are harder to play because they require aiming with good precision. These heroes are tough to play on PC too but even harder on PS4 because of analog aiming.
Control scheme is great.
