One thing to do with Torbjorn is to always have a turret down. The level 1 costs nothing and can do a decent amount of damage. Try and place it in an area where it can only be accessed from behind by your team or put it somewhere that it is somewhat protected.

Leveling it to level 2 takes 6 hits from your hammer. I would put one down at the start of the map and level it up and then leave it. Your main gun does solid damage (the projectile arcs at range) and the right-click is a spread for close up. The spread does pretty well at covering doors and can take out Tracer.

I would work at bothering the other team with my teammates and having the turret provide support from afar. I would never repair it unless there wasn't an active firefight. Sometimes I would swing by and kill the person attacking it because they focus on it and not you.

Your Q gives you like 500 armor and makes you stronger. It also temporarily makes your turret level 3 that shoots rockets as well. I have used it to get a couple triple kills and one quad kill. Got a play of the game due to it (and turret wasn't even involved in that one).

Also every time someone dies they drop scraps, when you get 50 scraps you can give out armor packs. Always make sure you have armor on and then throw out armor packs for your teammates to pick up.

Edit: also don't be Torbjorn on attack. If your team is pushing properly, the field moves too much and your turret will become useless.

I thought she'd just be like, a TF2 pyro but freezing but her icicle does good damage and has good range, her self heal/ice block is neat for blocking or camping a point in safety and the ice wall is super good for defence or traversal.

Mei for me as well, and D.Va. Freezing people solid is pretty satisfying and trying to cycle D.Va's ultimates is fun.

I meant just due to my own lack of investigation I became confused. I could have simply read the interview you speak of but instead I just drew my own conclusions based on nothing. All the same im glad I was wrong cause this game has completely dominated my gaming time now.

Lucio and Symmetra. Junkrat is also pretty fun.
 
For someone who hasn't played an arena shooter since Quake 3, I think I did pretty well on my first online match. My team won 2-1 and I got play of the game with Mercy. Felt so good ressing 4 players while avoiding bullets from all sides at the same time.

I think I'm going with Mercy and Lucio for the moment. All this support stuff is very new to me but pretty fun.

I'm so fucking sick of Bastion. How is he not OP?

A Bastion with a Reinhardt and a Mercy is just impossible to take down in a pug.
 
Just got put up for an award. MVP. I spent 82% of the match on fire.

I had 31 kills, 13 objective kills, most time spent on the payload and 3 instances of 8 kill streaks as Pharah.

Oh man I love her. I had 70% accuracy and most of my hits were direct. That quake 3 playtime putting in work.
 
Is Dva's mech retaining momentum even after you trigger the suicide new? I never saw that in the stress test I played.

Bastion used to be worse, hes not bad people just tend to not pick heroes that work well against him.

Any groups need another on PS4? Public matchmaking is taking its toll on me. I'm by no means good, but I swear I've been on some historically bad teams today. Haha

What was that game with a similar idea and art style last gen? Ended up totally bombing
 
That's all great for 1v1 against Bastion, but what about when he's being guarded by a Reinhardt shield? It's so fucking stupid.

i mean...thats the joke though....its intentional.

it's not to be taken seriously. his character is a like a mockery of that "I am a bad ass." It's Satire.

like how soldier76 is like a generic call of duty type character and his ulti is AIMbot.
 
just started the game for the first time and i have no sound at all. every other application on my pc plays back fine.

anyone else see this?

I counter Bastion 2 ways most of the time (cause good teams try to protect him)

With Widowmaker (this is the easiest...literally find a good spot and snipe him. he takes 2-3 shots to kill usually)

or with Roadhog......the Chain pull is stronk, no matter who's defending him.

I love playing tracer, Wilson and soldier 76. Soldier is probably my favorite, I feel so damn useful as him. I haven't actually played someone I dislike though, they're all fun

I'll give some of these a go. It's difficult when your team is just trickling in on the point though, and when everyone plays rambo tracer.

I can't wait until people (myself included) figure out how to really play this game :)
 
Oh, I get Symmetria now.

She's not really a support class, but more of a defender or her own thing: locking down a room, babysitting portals, and attacking heroes like a Pyro in TF2.

I don't think she should be in a support category, as her play style feels like more of a defender, but doing that would mean there'd be only 3 heroes in that category.

In that scenario the defending team is working well together. It's annoying sure, but every multiplayer game has its wombo combos. Plus, if a Bastion and Reinhardt are chilling in a corner, that means the rest of their team doesn't have a tank. Take them out first, then come back to the helpless Bastion and Reinhardt.

It's not as fast as quake, but the rockets feel just as good

also, is there a faster way to get to the player screen to mute people?

Noticed they still have no option to turn off tips
 
Just got a 19 kill streak with Diva, 4 kills of which were in one go with my ult.

Play of the match goes to Bastion sitting in tank mode. brahokalks

Who works well against him? The last match I played a Bastion received the replay at the end of the game and he didn't move once lol. Everytime I tried to cross this area there he was..same spot as always.
