With his landslide victory in Indiana. At this point I think it's inevitable he'll be the nominee. The games the GOP will play may be fun, but he's going to have the delegates by the convention.

Anyone see a "path to victory" for anyone else at this point?

Hilary will be the only one that has a chance of stopping him and right now she has a very high chance of stopping him. He's definitely going to win the republican nomination now.

The GOP nomination is as good as his. Republicans are kidding themselves if they think he won't have enough delegates by convention time.

He's getting the required delegates to clinch. There is zero question now.

The GOP would literally have to go against their own rules to fuck him over and probably cause their entire party to implode.

He's got the nom locked unless something crazy happens.

The general, not so much. As of right now he has a sub 10% chance of winning, so we'll see how that goes.

Trump is what America deserves. A momument to 239 years of hatred and ignorance. He's just feeding the pigs of this country the slop they've been begging for.

Trump getting the Republican nom would be that catastrophic scenario.

(Catastrophic for the Republicans)

The catastrophe would be screwing over Trump at the convention. At this point these circus shows have pretty much killed any chance of a GOP candidate winning in Nov, but to choose someone who's not Trump or Cruz would crack the party into pieces that couldn't be repaired.
You stick with Trump, accept you're not gonna win and hunker down for the next 4 years or else you burn the GOP to the ground and hand the next decade+ to the democrats.

Listen, and understand! Donald Trump is out there! He can't be bargained with. He can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until America is made Great Again.

Trump is what the party deserves. Good luck with that Republicans.

Yep, I hope that party implodes because of this. I'm very conservative on some matters, but I can never support them because it's just wrong to support the message they've built for years, especially as a black man. Fuck em.

Lol, was on Facebook and saw my stepsister (black sheep of the fam) saying that trump was going to make America great just like Bill Clinton. I don't think she knows much about politics.

No, but it was funny watching everyone (media, included) delude themselves into thinking that there would be a contested convention. Trump was storming one primary after the next. What did people think would happen?

There was a period where Trump needed to win 55%+ of the remaining delegates to get to 1,237. That was unlikely given his previous trajectory. But then he dominated the east coast and never looked back.

Scathing. I just don't see this "landslide for Hillary" that people have been trying to sell since last summer. People can talk about it like it's a thing, but that doesn't make it a thing. Trump is more charismatic than anyone else running, and he'll be going against a candidate with zero (or is it negative?) charisma.

Last thing the GOP needs is the used car salesman Romney in the driver seat again.

I would be here for Kasich getting a bump, but at this poinT, it seems it's Trumps. The question is who will want to be VP with him. Watch it be his daughter Ivanka!

No, not through the efforts of any Republican at least. He could still implode if he says something insanely stupid before the convention, like a private conversation recording where he uses all kinds of ethnic slurs. Or some huge skeleton in the closet gets revealed.

Agreed,

There are A LOT of people who won't vote for Hillary. Trump is starting to push to appeal to the Sanders supporters. There is something about a 2nd Clinton presidency that leaves a sour taste in people mouths. Plus the fact that she'll send you all her emails, but her speech transcripts are not up for grabs seems very telling.

Either way, who would have thought 2 years ago this is the election cycle we would have gotten in the US.

The only challenger left is Hillary, but I think its too early to say who would win. The general polls now are a bit useless with primaries still ongoing.

Am I the only one who thinks Trump isn't all that bad? I find myself agreeing with his positions a lot more than I agree with Cruz, or Kasich, or Rubio and etc.

Lets be honest. A lot of the people voting for him would only be spurred on by that type of thing.

The RNC rules committee doing something would be the only shot at this point, I think (barring Trump completely imploding).

Trump is going to get 1237 and the Republicans are going to do what they can to save their downticket races. It's their only option at this point.

There are a lot of things that have yet to be revealed about Trump's past since the republicans haven't bothered to use it yet. I expect the democrats to bring up this stuff in the general election. He's also polling really horribly with women and minorities right now and I don't think that will change which can make it possible for a landslide victory for the democrats to occur in November.
