After day two of socking this game, I'm still in love.

I'm still bad but holy shit this is fun. I'm struggling to deal with turrets though - how do I deal with an entrenched Bastion + Torbjorn turrets?

Honamura B, on the back corner where defenders come out from spawn on the left if you're attacking, a turret placed there can pick you up instantly if you're on the top ledge as you come out of cover, giving you zero chance to shoot it before it shoots you. The tracking on that needs to be nerfed badly

Symmetra's Right Click
Snipers if you have a long LoS
Reinhardt putting up a shield to soak the damage while a Soldier shoots the turret/bastion
Tracer blinking in and dropping her ult

I agree that turrets feel a bit too strong now. I feel like snipers should be hard counters to them, but second I peek from the ledge just enough to see it, I'm already at half health.

As for new heroes I tried, Lucio is awesome. It feels great to just skate around, giving people speeds boosts/heals and kill enemies. I think I got a 10 kill streak in one game of payload and I'm still not that great at aiming.

I absolutely wrecked with Reaper. Got the play of the game when I leveled pretty much the entire team at the capture with his Ultimate.

Didn't even try any other characters

First time player here.

What an *unbelievably* polished experience this is. Everything from graphical style, UI, movement, unlock system, matchmaking, variety of play style, balance...

Hats off. What a game.

After some thoughts... I am not sure I will dive into this at launch. It seems polished and very well designed, but there is a point when a game get's this "Blizzard" thing going and it just seems boring, unexciting and stupid (DIE DIE DIE).

It's getting praised from what seems like everyone and I just think... eh... it's good but not that good. TF2 was way more exciting for me, maybe still is. TF2 still excells Overwatch i nterms of weapon handling, feedback and map design.

Man this beta is tiring, I was used to people knowing some basics of the game in the previous beta, but now it's just 12 headless chicken running around not capping objectives, tanks hiding and trying to "snipe" people from afar and everybody getting rekt by turrets and Bastion.

Meh.

So, PS4 players - What sensitivity are you using? I'm still trying to find a good blend of stability for precision but also swift counter moving to flanking enemies. I've been playing on PC during the closed beta and got accustomed to the high precision but fully intended to buy the game on PS4, I just need to find my footing again.

Also, seems like the game is not 1080p in places? Notably the lineup shot of the heroes and character selection screen.

Loving D.Va the best so far, but I've barely scratched the surface of a lot of the characters. Going to take dozens of hours to get decent time with them all. Game is amazing.

The game does use dynamic res with a dynamic v sync but rarely ever drops or tears. Also no reason why the character select menu of all the places won't be 1080P when the game manages to hold 1080P and 60FPS even in intense situations.

I use a sensitivity of 50-60 on PS4 btw, on PC I keep it low between 8-10 but keep my DPI to maximum.

After like 12 hours played I've yet to see a good play of the game. It's almost always just someone pressing Q.

There's only like 3 or 4 heroes on this roster that I don't enjoy playing. Aside from that few, I'm having a hard time playing all my favs as often as I want to. It's really nice finally having my friends to play with since in the closed beta I was ALWAYS the guy on the team that played tanks and supports so everybody else could play Call of Duty around me. Now that my friends are all excited to be playing those roles I've finally gotten to play a lot of more offensive minded heroes and having a total blast with Reaper, Junkrat, McCree, Hanzo and others.

Meh.

I love pushing the cargo by myself and winning the objective for my team while everyone else plays tdm. Hilarious and I actually don't mind it since it's first time for many and people will eventually learn the game... well, most of them.

I'm using the default one, whatever that is, haven't even touched options to be honest cause it felt right from the get-go.

Played some more just now with friends, game is so much fun. I played a bunch of Mei and I'm really starting to like her gameplay. Ice Wall is a fun button with a lot of use, one of the best things I like doing is separating a Reinhart or healer from their team and ganking them solo. Her ultimate is really fun too, definitely had some great plays with that.

I do absolutely not like Meis design..but damn her powers are amazing in defence. Like "oh 4 enemies are coming? well..*ice wall*" love it :D

45 and 35.
about the performance: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-overwatch-console-beta-performance-analysis

I know the audio cues.

I'm not saying you specifically, but all the same my point stands: Ults that can get 4-5 kills SHOULD be potg level plays, whether they're just presisng Q or not, the teams shouldn't be in positions where a Q press gets you that many kills is the problem.

How did the game get this far into testing with Bastion still in his current state? It's ridiculous that his turret mode can waste characters in seconds and then he can turn into a tank and one shot them. It's overpowered to a degree that just isn't fun to play against.

lmao

He used to have a shield to go with that turret mode
imagine playing against that

My favorite play of the game so far: Enemy was winning point B, last seconds, slided couple of meters before enemy lines with D.Va, activated ulti, mech went straight for the center, I jumped away, bam-bam, double kill with my blaster pistol... boom, triple kill behind enemy lines! One from my team went in: Overtime. Felt sooo good.

Seriously? The fuck, man.

He had less hp/didn't gain hp when he shifted, he just gained a 10k shield that was frontal only and he had limited turning radius (not quite 180).

Still, the current design is more universally countered where the shield version was actually WORSE in that he was 100% unsurvivable against the actual counters, and was super hard to kill for anyone that wasn't a flanker.

You guys really need to try Symmetra more against the mass of Reinhardt, Bastion and Tronbjorn, she is not only an amazing support that can go on her own, but also directly counters the turtle gameplay.

So i just preordered on PS4. Will i be able to play when this download finishes or did i miss some kind of deadline? I didn't receive a code or anything. I just preordered and then downloaded the beta.

Game looks so fun. Really excited to try it.

I really like Symmetra, even got play of the game with her one time.

I like this game a lot but wish I had a gaming PC to play on instead of my PS4. It is my plan to get a new build up and running this fall, so hoping to grab this day 1 on the eventual new PC. Tracer is basically my dream FPS character in terms of her abilities (just missing a double jump really) but trying to play her effectively on a controller feels less than ideal -- need a keyboard and mouse bad.

Still, gonna be there for launch on PS4. Zenyatta is kind of my go-to in the meantime.

I'm glad the progress is wiped so I get another chance at all the early level lootboxes. Got none of the things I wanted this time compared to the last beta haha.
