I really need to go to bed before midnight tonight. Gonna be so difficult to wait until morning for the scores and the thread will be so long by the time I can go through it

I'm expecting a 90, 4th game, some critics are probably tired by the series, others will tell us that it's not as open as they've hoped.

Troublesome development, gonna make the game kinda inconsistent, plot holes, missing parts, etc.

I won't be surprised if its betweenn 7.5-8.5.

Hope I'm wrong.

Or they took the extra time needed to smooth out the issues, hence the longer than expected dev time that we are calling "troubled development."

I think people are so expecting the meltdowns, you all are going to be disappointed, people here on GAF after so many embarrassing review threads have the awareness to not say something that will put them on the wall of shame, they'd be extra careful not to sound like a raging fanboy even if they are furious from the inside, the days of Jeff's 8.8 insanity are over, maybe very few will fall but don't expect a full thread of madness like it used to be.

The baiting by some posters with concern will always get a bite. It's a fishing tournament.

More like boring-o, amirite?

"Eddy Raja isn't in this and it was magic in UC1. Since he's not here, I don't like Sam because he reminds me of someone too serious at times. 9.87/10"

Nah, I'm expecting a 95. This game is brimming with content, looks and plays amazing and I cannot see Uncharted 3 of all games scoring higher. I'm just not buying it.

Still gonna stick with 96
Yeah, I think reviewers will generally find it to be the best game in the series and the scores will reflect that. Just a hunch, I won't be upset if I'm wrong.

I think the "wide linear" level design is going to go over really well. If they've pulled it off as well as some have said they did, it's something big enough to keep the game from feeling dated. Gamers have shown they want more freedom to explore in this generation, and I think Naughty Dog's solution will be good enough.

too high IMO. Wouldn't be surprised if The Order ends up with the higher MC. Probably gonna result in Naughty Dog being sold off to EA or Nintendo.

Heh, I could see someone mistaking actual captured shots for bullshots in this case. ;-)

Wait a minute... what if those sneaky ****s at ND made their game entirely out of bullshots?
This deception must be stopped!

Seriously though
I'm pretty sure there have been games before have done this where you have to use b-roll and people couldn't use their own footage in their reviews. I wanna say I've heard that Nintendo required this, or maybe it was Konami... I can't remember.

I don't really see a problem here, though. It's not like we're getting reviews right at launch, or even that stupid shit with Assassins' Creed Unity, I think it was, when it was after launch.

I foresee interview content praising the game and all it's finely tuned facets.

8.5/10 scores being the only thing taken from the reviews - causing uproars on GAF.

The servers will crash.

Edit - Predicting a between 85-91 metacritic score myself. Reviewers seem to by quite a bit harsher with bigger games this generation. Games which would have some aspects overlooked if well compensated in an other area (i.e Halo 5 - decentish campaign, but outstanding multiplayer) and bigger titles like FO4 have been more fairly scrutinized this generation.

Too many 9/10s last gen for games that didn't deserve it. I tend to play most single player games a while after release, so my expectations were set higher than they should have been i guess.

With all this talk about people melting down over a lower score what about the opposite? People hoping for low scores melting down over the high praise? Or does that not happen?

Yeah, I'm expecting a 95 or so.

Not sure what people mean by franchise fatigue. The last mainline Uncharted came out almost 5 years ago. It's not like this is the 9th entry or a yearly franchise.

That'll happen a few weeks from now when people start to talk about how overrated it is. Just look at the "controversial opinion" thread; every other post is about how bad The Last of Us and Uncharted are.

88 all over my face.

"Graphics are amazing, gunplay is good this time around and the game has a jeep, but it's still not fully open world and Drake isn't as funny as that time when he was in Borneo. 7.7/10"

"Tenzin out of Tenzin" -Biogamergirl

"Too serious. I should be laughing but I'm wiping my eyes. Tonal shift be damned. 7/10"

"Bess Game ever, amazingly crafted game. I cannot believe what ND do with PS4. 8.5/10"

"What the hell? It reads like a 10 ffs!"

Loooooool epic Biogamer girl will strike again...

92. Reviews will generally say it's the best or tied for best in the series, but more of them will be too cool to play a cinematic game than back when Uncharted 2 came out. At least one review will take away points for not being open world. I'll die inside reading it.

Y'all didn't read the quantum break thread did you? Meltdowns always happen for exclusive games, it's just the nature of the beast.

The Angry Joe review thread in particular was quite bad, the general review thread wasn't the worst I've seen - had some actual discussion and justification of varying opinions.

The Angry Joe thread however seemed to garner a lot of hate for Joe's review to the game. I get it's his character but his approach to the game was quite pedestrian.

Someone in the other thread just proclaimed that he wants to fuck Chloe. There are already enough posts by raging fanboys to fill several walls of shame.

That will make me furies

LMAO

Your prediction is going to be very accurate in some ways, I'll bet.
