Pokémon Sun and Moon Starters Revealed. Releases November 18th 2016.

You've heard of a boat? It's a video game and it's closer than Kalos lol

The concept art even showed someone that looked like Ash.
Sure. I don't think it's likely but it is possible. The point I was contesting was that Hawaii and Japan were near each other. They are not.

People tend to forget just how massive the Pacific Ocean is.

Also it seems your opponent's trainer model is always present during battles. I wonder if that has any implications, unless that was also the case in ORAS

possibly rival only?

Chespin's final evolution was an abomination. I'm hoping Rowlett's will be more sleek considering it's a bird.

Oh don't you go starting on shitting on Chesnaught with me boi

OH MY GOD the owl turns his head backwards while in battle!!!

That Moon box legend looks fucking slick too. Oh my god. Fairy/Dark or Ghost/Psychic or something? The design is absolutely top drawer.

I like the fire kitten as well but I NEED that Owl!

#TeamMoon #TeamRowlet

Lol also @ the starter hate. They're all pretty good. Rowlet is the best tho.

Now to see what its final evo looks like so I can see if it'll be in Smash NX...

Full PR:

London, UK– May 10, 2016 – The Pokémon Company International has unveiled the first details of the highly anticipated titles Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, starting with a first look at three new first-partner Pokémon and the packaging. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will launch in Europe on November 23, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Following in the tradition of previous games in the Pokémon series, players choose one of three special Pokémon to be their first partner. These are among the first Pokémon players will encounter in the game. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, players will be able to choose between the newly discovered Grass- and Flying-type Pokémon Rowlet, Fire-type Litten, and Water-type Popplio.

For a Pokémon Trainer, knowing the Pokémon types and how they match up against one another in battle is vital. Grass-type Pokémon are strong against Water types, but weak against Fire types. Fire-type Pokémon are strong against Grass types and weak against Water types. And Water-type Pokémon are strong against Fire types, but weak against Grass types.

Meet the three new first-partner Pokémon that will join Trainers on their adventures in the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games!

Name: Rowlet
Category: Grass Quill Pokémon
Height: 1 ’00 ”
Weight: 3.3 lbs.
Type: Grass/Flying
Starting Move: Leafage

The first of the potential partners is the highly adaptable Grass Quill Pokémon, Rowlet. This Pokémon can fly silently through the skies, sneaking up on its opponent without being noticed. It can attack its opponents using powerful kicks, and it can also attack from a distance using the razor-sharp leaves that form part of its feathers. Rowlet can survey its environment and turn its neck nearly 180 degrees from front to back, so it can see directly behind itself. When in battle, Rowlet turns its head to face its Trainer when waiting for instructions.

Name: Litten
Category: Fire Cat Pokémon
Height: 1 ’04 ”
Weight: 9.5 lbs.
Type: Fire
Starting Move: Ember

The cool-headed Fire Cat Pokémon, Litten, is the next choice for a first-partner Pokémon. Litten’s fur is rich in oils and is immensely flammable. It constantly grooms itself by licking its coat, collecting loose fur into balls. It then ignites these hairballs to create fireball attacks. When the time comes for Litten to molt, it burns off all of its fur in one glorious blaze.

Name: Popplio
Category: Sea Lion Pokémon
Height: 1 ’04 ”
Weight: 16.5 lbs.
Type: Water
Starting Move: Water Gun

The third possibility is the acrobatic Sea Lion Pokémon, Popplio. Popplio can create balloons made of water from its nose and utilize them to create a variety of different strategies and attacks in battle. This Pokémon is better at moving in the water than on land, and can swim at speeds over 25 mph. On land, it uses the elasticity of the balloons it creates to perform jumps and acrobatic stunts.

More information and details about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be unveiled throughout the course of 2016.

Just a trailer I know but there are some slowdowns. I really hope Gamefreak will step up their game and improve it, especially in 3D. Atleast take advantage from the New3DS.

I'm repeating myself but I feel like it might be an epic thought.

Anyone else think pokemon will follow us again? Overworld models and battle models are now one in the same. That means every pokemon has an Overworld model.

It seems highly likely to me.

That name though, litter. It's like... you can shit on it.

Still, Rowlett could pull a chespin and i'd be left with nothing :/

lit on fire kitten

but Chespin became a fluffymuffin tank

I can't see Rowlett pulling that

and I can see Litten going LIGER

For some reason I have a feeling Litten will turn into a fire/ghost type, please don't ruin the design (Fennekin... why)

Fennekin was such a huge disappointment so many different directions could had been taken...

Actually Fennekin is the sole reason why I don't want Litten because I keep thinking they're going to give us some crappy final evolution.

Lol also @ the starter hate. They're all pretty good. Rowlet is the best tho.

Now to see what its final evo looks like so I can see if it'll be in Smash NX...
That's assuming we even get more characters for the Smash 4 port. Unless you mean Smash 5, but we may have Gen 8 by then.

Hawaii is basically in the middle of nowhere ocean, so if we do travel elsewhere it'll be a fair boat or plane trip away.

Island hopping? Stuff like Oceania Islands, or even visiting nearby countries.

I love Litten design!
I'm ok with the Sea Lion... but the Owl is terrible... is like: i have no imagination.

Interesting the new look of the game, with less chibi humans.

Lion legendary is terrible, but i love the design of the other one.

Will go with the Blue edition, like always from generation 1.

Liking the Moon legendary is a clear sign of bad taste =p It singlehandedly turned me off of using Moon as my primary game this gen, instantly.

I love the change in proportions, everyone looks older and more human-like.

Going by just pre-evolutions, I'm leaning Fire > Water > Grass, but I'll wait for the final evolutions before passing judgement.

The graphics outside of battle looks nicer, and the two legendaries looks pretty good.

As for the starters, meh not my favorite trio, but I kind of dig the fire cat and water seal. Rowlet ain't doing it for me at all through.
