Pokémon Sun and Moon Starters Revealed. Releases November 18th 2016.

Alola being islands (as far as we know), maybe in the post-game we go to the Hoenn new battle resort that was being built in ORAS (Just to the resort, not the entire region).

God I hope so, I want my Frontier so badly.... Also really hope they still give us an infinite loop for hatching eggs despite the change to the overworld x.x

Probably because nobody replying has literally a single fucking legitimate argument. All thats being spouted is "but i loves my pokemons dont say it hasnt changed in 20 years it hasssss i promissseeeee" when in reality it hasn't. And that is a simple fact that even the vast majority of fans will admit to.

Ask someone who has absolutely no experience playing the games to play gen i and then gen VI. Not a single one of them who doesnt spend a significant amount of time in the menus will know a damn thing about the stat changes because they DO NOT impact the way the game is played in a significant fashion unless you actually care about min/maxing when the majority of players dont.

The fact of the matter is the playerbase on these boards, is a minority. A very hardcore minority who care about every facet of the game when the majority dont. That is true of any forum/board like this, the population is in fact, a vocal minority.

You dismissing literally everything anyone has said to you in this thread does not make you right, does not mean anything you've said is a fact, and it certainly doesn't mean that you have the authority to speak for the "majority of players" who you assume to believe all think like you. But please, go on sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending that not a single person who's responded to you has made a legitimate point.

There is nothing to support that assertion at this time.

CoroCoro also never had "the scoop". The information always came the day, or the day before, CoroCoro's official release. It only seems like CoroCoro "has the scoop" because people get the magazine a couple of days early

Ah right, that makes sense. TPCi didn't always do that though, right? Back in the gen 5 days and before?

My girlfriend is the definition of casual and her first game was X. She picked up on the special/physical sit immediately and what difference special attack and normal attack have. You're literally wrong. It's okay if you want to think pokemon hasn't changed. You can think whatever you want dude, there are people who think the earth is flat.
That doesn't make you right.
Except I'm literally not wrong. I have 3 kids aged between 8 and 15. All are gamers. None knew about the effect of stats in pokemon until I explained it to them. Just another bs anecdotal argument with no real backing stated as fact

....... You really think that kids nowadays who are exposed over internet are idiots huh?

The new generation who are able to do Minecraft so perfectly and if they had problem they know where to look for help like Youtube or Gamefaqs?

Well, moving away again here, i feel the Sun Legend will be Fire and Steel here. Thats what my guts told me here lol.....

Is there any fire steel till now?

Yep. Heatran.

Hehe no prob. But where did you get this link here? I always thought Zygarde is more or less Cell type of Pokemon lol.
The Zygarde is composed of "cells", yeah, but the three forms it can take are Norse mythology. Humanoid, wolf, and snake; Hel, Fenrir, and Jormungandr.

Only the snake form is in the games right now, though.

Oh yeah just a nice hint, when Japanese draw tigers they tend to have forehead marks

specifically they are meant to evoke the "king" kanji (王)

Makes you wonder if Litten will have that thing in its future evolutions, as it already dons a marking similar to that.

Ah that clears it up, thanks!

Honestly I hope they don't do a straight up tiger, but I will take that any day over a bipedal monstrosity though! A striped bobcat could be a nice compromise for me.

Please don't chop off most of Litten's tail. What did it do to deserve that?

But yes, please let it stay a quadruped x.x

Litten will probably evolve in some kind of tiger with his back on fire (notice the animation when he attacks) and more fire on his forehead and whiskers.

Games weren't worldwide launches in Gen 5 days and before
Yes. They've been really anal about leaks since XY, too, to the point where it seems they're adapting a week-ish delay for Europe just because certain parts of Europe have pretty big leaking issues. I guess the logic is there that if the big leaking areas get it on the 23rd then the people who get leaked copies will be getting it around the release date, making it less likely players will encounter leaked info before the 18th.

Like, they know leaks happen but I think they're trying to mitigate things as much as possible this time around. Sucks for the vast majority of Europe, though...

If it means that we in the UK would get the games same day as the rest of the world, I'd support the UK leaving the EU :p

So will I keep the owl's default name Bauz or will I name him Hedwig, like the owl in Harry Potter? We need a poll!

Them not wanting game leaks on launch and revealing the entirety of the game's features before launch do not match.

Hey Joe, since you're a super-fan, I'm curious: Which starter is your favorite, design-wise? I love all three but am most partial to Popplio at the moment. :3

Says it all
Yes, I'll be using that one on my Moon for sure. My Sun will be Litten. I'll probably play Sun first though because LION BITCHES

EDIT: ...I'm going to bed because I just forgot to place a comma, which completely changed the meaning of that last sentence...

I'm going to japan next month, any chance there will be Rowlet plushes by then? (Please) Have they said anything about merch?

So that's a vote for Popplio, right? :)

Yes. Look at how it just toys with everybody's favourite, while it is the most neglected.

It'll be badass

Wonder if TPC will do any cool promotions live from Hawaii?

I wouldn't be surprised if Worlds next year is in Hawaii

Probably a bit too soon

Will need to see evolutions before I choose who I'm picking as my starter. Was planning on choosing the Fire one since I normally choose Water but chose Grass the last two games, but I'm not really feeling Litten.

So as for starters themes theory :

  • The Plant starter doesn't look like a prehistorical/dinosaur animal so far

[*]The Fire starter is not part of the Chinese zodiac. He's a cat, that's not exactly a tiger. It might be evolve that way though.
  • The Water starter is not a fully aquatic animal so that's OK

Could be a tiger cub. Either way, the cat, while not in the Zodiac, does have a place in it's mythology as basically the unofficial member.
