Any death battle with Saitama would be stupid since he's a gag character who's written to never lose or struggle against anything.
 
I love every mention of Flash these days after being picked to pieces by multiple posters around here when I was going off about how god tier Flash was back in the day. I spent so many days questioning my sanity. so many hastily scribbled notebooks. I was right along... maniacal laughter.

Flash runs away with this so hard it's not even funny.

Still - my favorite speedster panel goes to Quick from Ultimates:

Kamehameha count's as energy projection via ki.

and physical spells don't really hurt either(like a lightning bolt). Soul magic and enchanted weapons are your best bet

Donner movies? DCAU? Nu 52? Post Crisis? Gaf's favorite movie Man of Steel?

oh and Silver Age Supes is the broken one who can sneeze away solar syystems and make up powers on the fly, golden age is when he was still leaping over buildings.
 
Supes isn't weak to magic, he just has no natural or developed barriers/protection against it.

Like how Martian Manhunter help develop his mental barriers.

Yup it's not an instant win button it still needs to be able to physically kill him.

or if you use Soul magic that completely bypasses the physical form.

And the price for a spell like that would not be cheap.

People argued otherwise. Vehemently too. Enough for Death Battle to make a sequel video that spent 20 minutes explaining why Goku can never ever beat Superman.

My point is no one would stan for Quicksilver as hard as Goku. This match was over before it even started.

Gladiator's power is "I'm as strong as I am confident", and that guy was intergalactic champion of an empire that spanned several galaxies BEFORE they made him emperor.

I mean we're talking about the guy who outran death by running to the end of the universe where death didn't exist.

I thought the general consensus was that Gladiator's striking force is better than superman's but overall strength goes to superman for consistency.

i've seen the fight a few times on comic vine. i think it would be a good one.

All of it. Marvel wrote themselves into a corner with their psychotic superman powered character amped to 11. There is a lot of different takes of the superman powerhouse archetype character but people like him really showcase there is really only one Superman; people like him actually made me appreciative of how good and heroic Superman is despite me personally finding him not to interesting growing up.

I said it in an old thread, the end result of World War Hulk was to essentially humble the more modern Sentry's Gary Stu's created ass by getting a classic comic book character powerhouse like Hulk unbounded to face him.

Marvel's pulled the wool over your eyes man. Stop seeing him as a superman analog and see him like mad Jim Jaspers with schizophrenia
 
I like the idea of Sentry, he's really just another Plutonian/Kid Miracleman character but Sentry's problem is that after his debut his story couldn't reach its full potential again in a universe like Marvel without some reality warping to put things back to "normal"(and that would feel like a cheap repeat) and he outstayed his welcome.

His marvel knights story was really all that needed to be said about him. If you aren't going to go all out with Sentry then keeping him around is stupid, his character just languishes and you have to keep making up contrived bullshit.

Hence him pulling his skull from his brain then flying a celestial to another part of the universe on some space hippy stuff. I look forward to seeing them being him back eventually
 
The only people who would postulate that Goku stands a remote chance against Superman are those who either enjoy talking about things which they have no knowledge of or those who are willfully ignorant like a twelve-year old.

Not really. A void coming into his powers vs a severely mentally disabled Reece is a bit of a one sided battle. Especially considering he was able to completely remove any trace of his existence
