The Democratic presidential front-runner said that she will be the party's nominee, because she's got an "insurmountable" number of pledged delegates and has received millions more votes overall.

"I will be the nominee for my party, Chris. That is already done, in effect," she said. "There is no way that I won't be."

Clinton wouldn't say whether Sanders was being considered for her running mate and said the Vermont senator needs to "do his part" to unify the party going into November.

She highlighted her role in unifying Democrats -- including the 40% of Clinton supporters who had said they wouldn't support Barack Obama if he won the party's nomination -- in 2008, the last close Democratic nominating contest.

Full story includes video interview with a hot take on Trump.

I mean, there's no way she'd choose Bernie to be her VP, right?

Damn, I really thought Lincoln Chafee had this in the bag.

And on his first day, too! That kid's going places, let me tell ya.

As for Hilary, yeah, the rest of the primaries are a formality at this point.

Eh, that well seems poisoned, ya know? Plus, she's going to want someone to can appeal to minority voters, so an old white guy probably isn't the solution she's looking for.

Its like Roman Reigns road to wrestlemania.

We all know its going to happen. No one is really excited about and you would rather it be just about anyone else but its kind of the only option because everyone else good retired or got injured.

In before Sanders cites this against the establishment saying that it's corrupt since it already picked Clinton before the primaries are over and then decides to run 3rd party.

This election went from a fun clown car start(Thanks to republicans) to a sad affair.

If super delegates really did their job, which is to make sure the weaker candidate doesn't make it to the general election they'd back Sanders immediately.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
zero chance, he doesn't add much to the ticket.

I'm actually shocked, I thought Obama was going to sweep in and nominate himself

He adds some percentage of the BernieOrBust people, but those people are paper tigers much like the NeverTrump guys.

Why would the Democratic establishment select someone who doesn't give a shit about their party?

It would be interesting to see what would happen to this sentiment if the Republicans were allowed to spin up their commie tax-raising Sanders machine instead of letting it lie dormant in hopes he would win.

Quoting gutter_trash from a different thread:

Steve Kornacki from MSNBC said that Bernie needs to exceed 75% in all remaining Primaries, tie in New Jeresy (because it is impossible for Sanders to win NJ) and then he would need to win 80% of California

some steep hill, more like vertical skyscraper

It's over. Every time that Bernie fails to pull ahead by X delegates per state, he needs to win MORE delegates in the next. Even in Oregon he didn't win by the margin that he needed to win.
