Only a few weeks till we get Obama and crew out on the trail.
Phew, shit's gonna be HEAVY for the GOP. Hillary basically has the entire Obama coalition and the DNC ready to bomb the every living fuck out of Trump and his crew without her ever having to say a thing.

I don't think so Ms. Clinton. We are winning California 86% to 14%.

Yep, then the real general starts. It will be quite the sight to behold

Because they don't want Trump in The White House? The best reason.

So they'll turn their back on a party stalwart who is also leading in head to head polling and garnered the most primary votes by millions because of a few percentage points in some polls. Ok....

As impossible as this is, this hypothetical situation would single-handedly give Sanders the nomination (due to the nonviability threshold).

Anyway, I foresee a backfire in Hillary's imminent future.

Looking at the count, she just needs about 10% of the remaining delegates to clinch (assuming no super delegates change their minds, and she doesn't go to prison). Is that right?

Hopefully she will pick a progressive VP like Elizabeth Warren or even Bill DiBlasio but I don't believe she will pick Bernie after such an acrimonious campaign.

deBlasio is from NY so she can't pick him, plus he doesn't have enough experience and is currently under investigation. If she could pick someone from NY it'd be Gillibrand or Cuomo.

If super delegates really did their job, which is to make sure the weaker candidate doesn't make it to the general election they'd back Sanders immediately.

Please tell me this logic isn't based on those current national polls. Sanders hasn't had any attacks lobbied his way. You think Trump and Co. are on the Bernie bandwagon because they think he's getting hosed? It's because the "Increased Taxes" ads are going to murder him in the general and hand them the election.

If Hillary really cared about her country she would get the fuck out and let Bernie spank Trump.

Yeah, because fuck the fact that she has a huge lead in popular vote!

Who cares about the people! They're all part of the establishment!

I can't even.

Tell me, where is that Bernie momentum you kept telling us would occur?

IF Bernie really cared about the Country he would have dropped out after NY, or started supporting down ticket dems, or started building coalitions.

I"m going to enjoy the Bernibot die hard tears as much as the GOP tears.

lol what?! basing their decision on GE polls this far out when all the attacks are being aimed at Hillary and not Bernie? Get. Real.

She is winning in votes, delegates and pretty much any other metric you can think off, hugely. They're voting accordinfgly. Don't be bitter about the fact just not enough people want Bernie as POTUS as they do Hillary.

Come on guys, Hillary has won the popular vote against Bernie by a pretty good margin. That simply means many more people went for Hillary this cycle.

I wouldn't be predicting Clinton gaffes when Bernie Sanders couldn't even codemn death threats from his supporters against a government official.

Clinton doesn't even need to say much anymore. Let Sanders continue to embarrass himself.

Btw I dig you calling Sanders by his last name and Clinton by her first

If Hillary wasn't winning by something like 300 delegates WITHOUT the Superdelegates, and didn't have a 3m+ vote lead, then I think very different conversations would be had. In the end, the Superdelegates are not deciding this race.

She's not a strong candidate. But she beat Bernie. If Bern ie had been a bit more organized and less one-note in his message, he probably would have had a chance.

In the end, he lost. Clinton should work with him, he should work with her. I don't know if he'd make a good VP pick, or maybe another cabinet position would work (or if he would even want those). They need to do something though. Clinton can't just expect his supporters to shut up and fall in line.

Yup, Sanders supporters don't count the Super Delegates for some delusional reason. The only way Clinton loses is if some Crazy Sanders supporter assassinates her.

Her problem of perception from half of the democratic base and independents isn't going to go away in 5/12 months. For. Real.

This is my favorite post because it assumes both that Sanders is the strongest general election candidate and that superdelegates exist to undermine the primary process rather than to prevent someone with a minority of the votes stealing the nomination.

She's right. Sanders lost the primary when he didn't even contest the south. Any effort he could have made probably wouldn't have made enough of a difference to win the nomination because he dumped money into South Carolina and got nowhere, but it was a mortal wound and he needed to at least try.
