Yep, it's a wasted opportunity. Could have been something similar to Garlic Jr. with other characters saving the day. Trunks and Goten seem to always be getting saved from something... It's really predictable now.

When Vegeta lost his power and the enemy ended up having a Vegeta clone, I thought it would be a great opportunity for Gotenks to save the day, but no, of course Goku has to help.

Well, if they faught Fake Gohan then Gohan would have screen time and we just can't have that.

That fight would have been over within 10 seconds if it was Gohan. Gohan is a joke, Trunks/Gohan should have no problem against him.

Oh and in the newest episode Vegeta continues to embarrass himself and show how useless he is. What a surprise.

Maybe Vegeta getting glorped by the Superhuman Water?

I went ahead and GIFed all the liquid stuff.

Reminded me of Baby
The "Super Human Water" is basically a Buu/Baby type character but he steals the power of others and copies their form instead of absorbing or controlling them.
I wonder if Copy Vegeta will make it into any games as a costume or a clone of Vegeta.
I could totally see a Xenoverse parallel quest where you fight Majin Vegeta, Baby Vegeta and Copy Vegeta.

So, I've been saying for a while that I should watch Super and now, thanks to my Girlfriend, I've finally seen it. She sort of knew what Dragonball is/was from when she was a kid but thought it'd be a fun watch and, aside from a few 'who is that/what is that/what's their relation' she kept up quite well. Watched BoG, RoF and then the the series and I actually really enjoyed it. The fights in the tournament was lots of fun and the teasing about Planet Salad.

Animation was never too bad to my untrained eye (never saw the earlier episodes that were supposedly awful) and the series was a lot funnier than I remember the dubbed Dragonball Z being. I am also incredibly excited for the Universal Tournament arc and I really hope they don't pull the whole 'four jobbers and one awesome guy' theme from the last arc. I really enjoyed watching Tien, Krillin and Roshi fight in RoF and I sincerely hope there's more of that to come (even if it's with some bullshit power-up for some of them). I also feel that the series is in dire need of aging Trunks and Goten appropriately, it really hits home when Pan is around and Goten is supposedly 12 years her senior. Also, given that Future Trunks is re-appearing it'd be fun to see a teenage Trunks interacting with him so that we can see the differences in their ideologies and personalities.

Ah well, look forward to waiting for a week per episode. As for my Girlfriend, she has booted up Xenoverse and is starting to watch Dragonball, couldn't be more proud.

What was that preview talk though ?

It seems that the copy actually provokes the disappearance of the original.

Man looks like Toriyama's backing out on Vegeta as the main character, just like he did with Gohan all those years ago. It's unfortunate, 'cause Vegeta's the most compelling character in Super. ):

Hopefully the Future Trunks crap is over with quick. It'd be a shame to go from a mini arc where Vegeta gets shafted again to an uninteresting arc. Unless it brings in the Time Patrol, then I hope it lasts forever.

But he never was the main character.

If all that arc is going to do is make F trunks come back only to get his ass kicked some more, make goten and current trunks less relevant and make goku the hero and the only one who can do anything than they can keep it

I see the new arc as a way for them to do something different since 1) not recapping movies and 2) likely not as short as the tournament arc.

To be fair Goku didn't technically win against Beerus, nor did he win against Hit in the tournament. He only really beat Freeza so far despite coming in later to save the day in both movie retellings.

You know damn well what I'm talking about Kagari!

This current arc right now ;_;

The current "in-between" episodes should have let Goten and Trunks be the sole heroes, I agree.

As do I, but who knows, maybe if we're lucky they'll get the last blow on Copy Vegeta. Either way I'm not too interested in this mini arc, story wise it's already pretty boring, but the animation will hopefully save it.
... Never thought I'd be saying that about Super.

Seems like these filler aliens are posing the biggest threat to the Z fighters in Super so far. Hopefully this is a taste of what's to come in the next arc.
