Jaco!! Ffgsafgs

It's still kinda baffling that the staff is going out of their way to do impressive animations left and right for "no reason".
This transition is completely gratuitous. It serves virtually no purpose except looking cool.

It's so good ! But i don't want to get used to it because I know it might disappear.

Why is it even called Superhuman water?
I don't think the animation is going to dip in any significant fashion for any significant amount of time any time soon. Obviously some episodes will look worse than others and we'll probably still get some bad looking episodes here and there, but I'm pretty sure Toei is going to keep throwing as many animators on episodes as possible.

Don't take it literally. The term used isn't the same as the one for human. Why is it even called Superhuman water?
This is how Dragon Ball should look. Goku's hair looks proper here too. There have been some scenes where I felt like it was too short. It's still kinda baffling that the staff is going out of their way to do impressive animations left and right for "no reason".

Like you said as long as they don't pick up any new shows anytime soon they should be good I'm glad the animation has started to look more consistent for both shows although I'm sure it'll take a lil dip soon because they're about to do a specialThat was not my point.
My point is that they went from suffering to handle the episodes scripts, to adding useless scenes that require a lot of time to animate just because they could.
What we are likely to see in future episodes, is decent animation for the script. I don't think we'll get those useless eye candies in every episode.
Also, Toei basically stopped most of their other shows so it's sending all it can at both One piece and DBS.
Any movie, tv special, etc... will take resources away from DBS. But the funny part is that DBS and One Piece are their only two animes in the top 10, both making the most money out of every anime out there. So it's unlikely they will try to come up with (many) new series since DBS is making them the kind of bank they were looking for.
I never expected superhuman water to be water that makes specifically humans stronger. I did think that it would be water that would make anyone who drinks it stronger, however. Not that it would've really made much of a difference because this is just an in-between arc, that's probably going to be mostly, if not entirely, ignored in the future.
I assume they're using the word Ningen, which doesn't have a direct english translation, it basically just means a sentient life form. I guess in universe people thought by "Super Human Water" that it was water that made you stronger, but instead it is literally sentient water. Why is it even called Superhuman water?

This arc looks to be so creatively bankrupt.
And to those saying maybe now Toei will make better animation, recall that One Piece is still running and is as- or even more popular than DB, and it still gets shit animation.

So, Dragonball Super now is confirmed to have at least 72 episodes.
Cool, i didn't know they removed the original 100 ep count

They've announced the DVD/Bluray sets through April 2017 (set six) meaning we are now guaranteed to have at least 72 episodes total in Super. While we'll probably get more than that it's still interesting to know that Super is confirmed now to be longer than GT.

The word is choujinsui and choujin is another word for superman.
Gimme 306
Das racistPreliminary title for episode 47 (start of the Trunks arc) is out:
A New Chapter! A Black New Enemy!!
Was GT that unpopular in Japan? Also glad to see Super confirmed beyond GT's episode count. Hopefully they go good places with the upcoming stories.
Was GT that unpopular in Japan?
Has the animation gotten a lot better?
Never seen the show but I used to look through this thread just to see some awful stills.
Seems like that doesn't happen anymore.
Was GT that unpopular in Japan?
Ah yes GT lost episodesIt literally killed the franchise over there, so I can't ever see it being that well-liked.
DBGT's reception is what convinced Funimation to cut out the first arc when they first aired it over here.
By the time GT made it here. None of my classmates cared. Not sure about Japan but Western reception was really poor.
That said, GT stuff is still getting put in the games these days so who knows?

Kid.Wait
Future Trunks? Is what we saw last week the next arc? I thought it was filler
Now where does Gohan fit into this?
In DBZ,
I'd be fine with characters taking put side opponents and goku takes out the main baddie. But it rarely happensHe doesn't.
That's the problem. It's Super now, times have changed. Logically he should be able to stack Super Saiyan on top of Mystic but AT probably just forgot about Mystic altogether.
This is the Goku show. Even Vegeta is the same old "finish the side-opponents, get wrecked by the main guy" dude.
Goku hasn't even really got a real win against the final guy in an arc yet either, he lost against Beerus and Hit and he blindsided Freeza (after having been blindsided himself). He doesn't.

The only arc unique to Super so far had a huge focus on Vegeta.

The next arc is also called the "Future Trunks arc" instead of being named after the villain, I think that's a pretty big indicator that it won't focus primarily on Goku.
Believe next arc is when the others will shine....He gets the main fights though, and that's what matters IMO. For a series that thrives off its fighting... it gets rather repetitive with Goku always being the one to get that main fight regardless if he wins. We always say "wait til next main arc" and the same thing happens again and again and again.
It always has and unfortunately will likely always be like that. He got the main fights against Jackie Chun, RR Army, Tien, King Piccolo, Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza, Buu, Beerus, Golden Frieza, Hit
The one exception is Cell and that's very unique case in that Gohan is the only character to ever be built up to replace Goku as the main character. Nobody else has ever come close to that status.
