I'll scream if they show No Man's Sky for the umpteenth time but it'll happen.
Right? Just do something small with it. It doesn't need another showing like last year. It will literally be releasing within a week after E3. Give that time to something else. Something like Ape Escape.

Anybody else just have No Man's Sky pre-ordered for that sweet Limited Edition steelbook? If the game turns out to be No Man's Trash, i'd still want that delicious artwork. Sold out on Amazon too!

I still have 0.0 hype for No Man's Sky. I wouldn't mind it getting shown again because I really need to see something exciting to grab my interest.

I don't think you are alone with that however. I am thinking they will have a significant amount of time during the presser to talk and show more of the game. Even though it is releasing the week after, they could get a lot of people that forgot or are not sure about the game and give it good showing at the presser.

Uncharted DLC will be part of the show imho. This will be the 3rd E3 in a row that will feature Uncharted...like No Mans Sky.

I'm hoping there's a beta or something before E3 cuz I'm really on the fence about it. It looks very interesting but I'm not sure if I'll spend a lot of time with it.

Yea and they'll keep talking about Destiny until the cows come home too.

That one is more understandable given the amount of investment and the partnership. Annoying but understandable.

No Man's Sky has received all the promotion it is going to get. If someone isn't planning on buying it by now, they probably just aren't going to buy it period.

A demo for No Man's Sky and more coverage would be great because I really do have zero hype for that game. And this isn't a "there's no explosions or waifu so that's why Mediking thinks it look bad!" situation. Lol

The problem I see with No Man's Sky is that it feels that's been around for so long, so many predentations and stuff, I feel like the game should have been launched centuries ago. I was really excited at some point but I've lost interest.
That been said I'll probably get it though I'm gonna wait for reviews.

Thanks , once I read it I realised I caught that live.

Any non specific game predictions/rumours?

Was it E3 last year when everyone was predicting backwards compatibility?

PS+ is certainly due a shake up.

Announcing the PlayStation will finally remember that I'm an invert player would make it a pretty sweet E3 for me.

Aside from the usual suspects, I'm honestly at a loss as to what "surprise" announcements Sony could throw at us this year. Like I've said before, I'd love a new Ape Escape though.

No way. Far too soon. Uncharted 4 will have been out for basically a month at that point. Most people will still be talking about and finishing up the main game. Plus, Naughty Dog wasn't going to be starting in earnest until after the game came out. It's way too early for footage.

You'll see a trailer and/or gameplay at PGW or PSX.

Nintendo shows up and is at Sonys E3 NWO style?

Crash Bandicoot turns Super Saiyan on stage?

Resident Evil 7, Devil May Cry 5, and Virtua Fighter 6 are all a thing.... On Kickstarter - NOW.

EA Access coming to PS4 with Battlefront beeing added to the vault

They should just show some No Man's Sky gameplay, again. Usual flying through space and only a minute or so in do you realise how the camera movement isn't the usual rigid analogue stick kind, but clearly someone's viewpoint as they play it in VR!

Pilot looks in closer at their dials, looks up to see a huge planet overhead, ships fly past, cut in a picture-in-picture of a person with PSVR headset on playing the game. Boom.

No words needed.

What my dream conference would entail.

Grandia HD, FFVIII HD, FFIX HD (like FFVII)
Ratchet Future Collection
Horizon gameplay
Uncharted DLC
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and Builders English trailer
Final Fantasy XV trailer
World of Final Fantasy release date
Aerith and Tifa FFVIIR trailer
Five Nights at Freddys collection.
Crash Returns
GOW spiritual successor with no Kratos.
COD limited to a brief trailer
Vr limited to 15 Minutes

The only dream left for me is to see Nintendo and Sony together on stage. Make the Nintendo Playstation happen... One can dream.

I think they should open with Crash, set the jolly tone. End with God of War.

If Crash is there, it will probably be their biggest megaton. GoWIV is a given at this point - it's one of Sony's perennial series, and everyone expects it. Open with a big, jaw-dropping game like Horizon or God of War (with a proper gameplay demo, not CGI trailer bullshit), and then end on something which is highly anticipated, like Crash or The Last Guardian. Again, I want to be seeing gameplay footage, and I don't want them showing games which won't be out until 2018 or beyond. Heck, if I had it my way they'd just be showing 2016 releases!

My assumption is that Sony will lead with a big, story-centric Horizon trailer, but I'm much less confident in that if they can't end it with a fade to black, "November 8, 2016" screen or something like that. If it has indeed been pushed into 2017, I think The Last Guardian and Sony Bend are strong contenders to bat leadoff.

I'm sure we'll get lots of VR talk in the middle. I expect a big Destiny: Rise of Iron segment. I imagine we'll get a full (Neo) reveal towards the end that will set up a trailer for a "best on (Neo)" game to close out the conference.

And that Neo showpiece will almost certainly be God of War, right? Two minutes or so showing off how beautiful the game looks, etc., etc., hard cut, "March 2017."

One wild card: for no reason in particular, I keep having the thought that Sony will show off a new Matterfall trailer and announce that they've acquired Housemarque.

This guy gets it. Don't end on a game that's expected, no matter how big its franchise is.

If they actually decide to carry through on the Sly movie I'd be shocked.

Indeed. They need to cancel that shit if they haven't done so already. The Ratchet & Clank movie was a disaster and this will only follow in its footsteps if it gets released.

I don't know. I liked it last year when they ended on UC4.

And I agree about the movie. I don't care for that. But give me a game though.

KILLZONE 4

pls Sony

I think Killzone is pretty much deceased at this point. Horizon will hopefully be a big success and if so, I don't see Guerrilla returning to Killzone any time soon. And even if they did, I'd probably prefer they collaborate with an external FPS specialist developer like Digital Extremes or Human Head. KZ Shadow Fall was really close to being great, but a few stupid design decisions held it back IMO.

Just hoping to see the PS4K at E3, I just want to know if it will read Ultra HD Blu-ray..

I won't be surprise by Sony exclusive output this year, especially after last year.

Yep. The last game is probably going to be people's lasting impression going away from the show, so make it a big one, and if possible make it the biggest surprise. Even if it's The Last Guardian, and then Shawn Laydon comes on and says it's releasing this September, that would be a big deal. Have to end on a memorable note.

I could see them ending on a big Horizon Demo, just like withUncharted 4.

My guess is, opening with Crash, then Dead Don't Ride, and maybe God of War 4. 20 seconds of Persona 5 and Gravity Rush 2 (they will share the 20 seconds) and rest is third party stuff and PSVR. No Neo.

I know you're probably right, but Gravity Rush 2 deserves 20 minutes!

This would really surprise me, though I've seen a few people saying it. I think they need to get out ahead of this and try to control the message. It would make sense to do so on the biggest stage possible. A lot of people are not happy about (Neo), and I imagine the rumors are hurting PS4 sales—only at the margins, but hurting them nonetheless. E3 seems like the right time to put their spin on it.

If I'm not mistaken (?) I remember reading/watching an interview where they said they weren't done with KZ. So I think we'll see a new one next year, probably made by Guerrilla Cambridge.

In the last years the final part of the conferences have been rather weak.

E3 2014: Uncharted 4 teaser
GC 2014: Wild trailer
TGS 2014: DQ Heroes
PSX 2014: Drawn to Death
E3 2015: Uncharted 4 jeep section (the best part was shown at closed doors and saved for some weeks after for the public, the reason why is beyond my comprehension)
TGS 2015: a new ad...
PGW 2015: Detroit
PSX 2015: Paragon

The GopherD post is very promising (the poem).

I don't see how it is possible to surprass last year (TLG, FF7, Shenmue 3 are a way too high of a bar, plus the reveal of Horizon and probably a lot of other games that I don't remember right now).

1st party I'm hoping to see some reveals like the new God of War and Sony Bend game. It would also be nice to see the new Sucker Punch game. A new section from TLG (with a release date hopefully), Horizon and Dreams are also likely. Wish I could say the same about Gravity Rush 2, but I don't see it happening.

I doubt Gran Turismo will make an appearance at the conference since it had a presentation few days ago.

They have to dedicated a time to 3rd parties and indies though, like COD/Destiny/FFXV/NMS/etc. It would be nice to see the rumored Red Dead game announced, and a Persona 5 trailer with a release date (I'm from europe, but I will most likely buy it from the US store if it isn't region locked).

In terms of surprises my personal wish would be a Bloodborne 2 (preferentially directed by Miyazaki, but I don't see that happening after what he has said about trying something new). A new Crash Bandicoot would also be awesome depending on the developer.

I don't think they will talk about PS Neo (too soon, it would most likely jeopardize the sales). It will probably be announced much closer to the release date together with a PS4 price cut.

Yeah, If Killzone comes back in this gen will be by the hands of G. Cambridge. They will ship RIGS this year, so who knows.

Cambridge was hiring for a AAA shooter in a multi-million selling franchise around 1-2 years ago. They probably have a Killzone (or dare I say Resistance?!) game already in the works.

In previous threads people have mentioned that shinobi said on a podcast that the PS4K would be announced at PGW. So you probably shouldn't get your hopes up for that or expect it at E3.

Sony should just stop making AAA fps this gen and just let the third parties fill that space.
