Tbh powering through those arcs was for the best

yeah but goku and vegeta randomly showing up with blue hair in the freeza movie made no sense

and made even less sense in super

an episode to explain/show how that happened seems like the kind of thing super was made for

instead we constantly have these discussions about the difference between red hair and blue hair because they didn't clearly explain shit

it's almost like they could have thrown some episodes between the BOG and ROF episodes to explain some of this shit

instead... nothing.

They've presented us plenty to be able to figure it out. When Goku drops out of God form into SSJ his power doesn't drop, SSJ's power=God level. In the tournament we see that SSJ still provides a power up over base form, so that means base is under God, and then we have the narrator saying Blue is more powerful than God and Blue being presented in the tournament as a level beyond Super Saiyan.

Base=Less than God
SSJ=God Level
Blue=Beyond God

The lack of an episode explaining how they obtained Blue is pretty annoying. I mean we know that Whis's training can make them as strong as Super Saiyan God in the SSJ forms and then we have the tiny hint with Goku and Vegeta's fists clashing and releasing a Blue godly energy.... and then nothing.

It seems like
Mai
will be a recurring character in the upcoming Black Goku arc.

Beerus is stronger in the series and I don't think he says the 70% thing in the series.

He actually says 100% in Super, but after the battle it's revealed that he was lying, when he leaves alongside Whis.

Lol what ?

Base Goku was stronger than frieza.

Beerus said that because he didn't know Goku could elevate his power level at will.

That's the way earthlings fight. They are weak as hell unless they decide to be serious not to waste energy.

We aren't talking about Freeza's goons that can't even sense ki. Beerus is closer to someone like Karin, who could notice Perfect Cell's full power without him needing to power up. Remember, he's better at the ideal movement stuff that Whis talked about than Goku was while training under Whis. That same scene afterwards also has Goku realizing the extension of Beerus' power and saying that even fusion would be useless against him, in spite of being completely unable to sense his ki. If Beerus were wrong, Goku would have corrected him in at least one of the versions of the scene rather than just jumping straight to SSJ.

Personally, I want more Pilaf gang. They're adorable. Takes me back to DB too.

I want more space adventure, more Pilaf, more crazy shenanigans.

I hate pilaf gang stuff. Totally done with it.they could vanish now and I wouldn't care.

I'd like to see trunks and goten grow up a bit. Throw them in the Hyperbolic time room and give me them back as young teenagers.

Also #MakeBuuGreatAgain he is a power house, the best fighter that isn't Goku or Vegeta

It's just confusing, and I've begun to give up trying to rationalize it. First the red form is a thing, now it's not, because the only logical explanation is that Beerus was sandbagging SUPER HARD during the entirety of that fight before the saiyans attaining SS blue. Then Whis points out the difference between their powers and its comparing a tree to a mountain and then I became even more confused and lost. Its like getting dumped into the middle of an ocean on a moonless night with essentially zero points of reference. That explanation of how their states work is basically all I can guess.

Fucks going on with this shit show, Vegeta human now thanks to some jelly thing sucking him off and taking his power? Dude's now just old bitty Bulmas personal sex slave?

Super making GT look like a masterpiece.

Super making GT look like a masterpiece.

This was one of the only episodes that was GT quality in terms of nothing really making sense and rehashing old ideas.

So do we all agree that the Pilaf gang are the worst characters in Super?

I hate how Toriyama and Toei keep shoehorning them everywhere like they're iconic or some sort of mascots of the franchise. They were written out in DBZ for a reason...

EDIT: typo

Nope they were fantastic in the recent movies, hopefully them appearing more means they will have more plot involvement. They got screwed over in the battle of gods changes

Yeah I don't really care for it. They are comedic fodder that aren't really that funny. And they also essentially made Mai a paedophile (in the movies anyway) lol.

They really havent been consistent at all with the ssg, ss, base form, nonsense

It's not consistent because Goku and Vegeta are constantly getting stronger. By the end of BOG, Goku's SSJ1 = SSG. Then throw months of training with Whis on top of that, then another three years with Vegeta on top of that.

Also, Blue is obviously stronger than God. Toriyama didn't invent a new transformation that would be weaker than the previous movie's new transformation.

They had their time in the Battle of the Gods movie, and you know... that was fine. But then they showed up again in Resurrection F and recently in a filler episode. The problem is their shtick has been played out already and these days it's just not that funny when all they're doing is repeating the same sort of gag over and over.

Just like Future Trunks once he'd delivered the medicine. O;

Harsh. He did other things too... like acting naive and creating a bunch of timelines, but hey.
He still has one of the coolest entrances in the series tho...

A single mediocre episode following this and suddenly Super is terrible? Come on now. That fight alone is far better than anything GT ever gave us.

I don't mind them on paper but I wish they'd come up with better plots for them. They were great in Battle of Gods but I don't even understand what they were hoping to accomplish in the recent Pan episode lol.

I'm ok with them showing up between arcs at least.

EDIT: typo

I think the main issue was Toei removing their subplot from Battle of Gods, and yet still wanting to feature them in many scenes through the episodes there, without adding anything new. Outside of that, they really haven't had much presence, only appearing in two episodes of the anime (they're technically part of the group in Universe 6 tournament in the manga, but they've barely had lines there).

.[/spoiler]

Fuckin Team Rocket shit

I'm just hoping that Dark Goku has a good reason for existing.

I'm betting that
something happened to that timeline's Goku in death, maybe specifically because he died of natural causes, that corrupted him and he was getting stronger all throughout the Android stuff in Trunks's timeline.

Pilaf gang is approaching team rocket tier. Toei needs to lay off for a while.

Edit - do you guys think we will get another DBS movie anytime soon? And given where the anime is now, it won't be reinterpreted back into the anime and be more like the DBZ movies? I don't like how the movies were made into anime episodes.

I imagine in a year or two we'll have another movie.

Maybe they'll bring back Broly. He's not in many movies!

I actually kinda like this Superhuman Water thing as a concept, this episode just used it in a really throwaway/fillery way.

In bed last night I was imagining this whole saga where this really strong dude and his goon squad is looking for this secret thing that was said to be stored away by this really ancient (but now long dead) strong guy. The secret thing was rumored to be able to turn one into the ultimate warrior. They follow some leads. The Z squad is also trying to get help and follow their own leads so they can find this thing before the bad guys. Maybe something lead the villains to Earth, so that the good guys already had an encounter with them and know what's up with them.

Anyway, they go to some other planets, discover that the secret thing stored away by the ancient dude is the superhuman water. They figure out what planet it's on, but maybe not exactly where it is. Strong bad dude, his goon squad, and the Z-fighters all head there. Some things happen. The main bad dude maybe gets defeated or something, but one of his not as strong but still competent goons get to the water anyway. Then it absorbs him, turns him into an even more powerful version of himself. Maybe at some point, one of the good guys get absorbed too (like Vegeta in this episode, but it could be anyone). Fights go down. It turns out that the superhuman water is actually semi-sentient with the soul of the ancient strong dude who was said to be the one who stored it away in the first place. Somehow, the ancient strong dude gets fully revived by the water being put into action. Either he turns out to be the super strong last boss of the arc, or he's actually good and stored it away for the sake of the universe, and helps the Z-Squad fight off the extra powerful goon and/or evil Z-squad member.

And then of course have a lot of interesting character dynamics and encounters based around this outline.

#CANON
