Nope, I stand by it. Joe should be dead on the Flashpoint Earth, the alive again when Barry puts things right. Flashpoint will likely be wrapped up before the December mega crossover.

Yeah it's pretty cool. Flash saves his mom and fucks up the whole dc universe. It's cool seeing alternate timeline takes on Batman and others.

Yeah I'm going with the popular guesses that we will just get regular E1 Wells after Barry resets everything. However, I really really hope they manage to bring back Wellsobard at some point; I like the blonde actor as well but Cavanaugh just plays RF so brilliantly. The one episode time travel throw back to RF Wells was probably my favorite of the entire season.

Man, I hope they don't spend a ton of time in Flashpoint universe, as there shouldn't be any metas running around at that time. The accelerator didn't explode on Earth 1 for another 3 years (in 2019). It was Thawne coming back and speeding it up by 5 years which is what we saw back in season 1.

Everything being normal and following the original timeline wouldn't be the Flashpoint universe.
Flashpoint is often described as a shattered mirror, where cracks and breaks don't necessarily logically follow from the initial impact. Barry saving his mother has repercussions on events that happen both after and before in ways that are unrelated, like other heroes' origin stories being completely different.
At this point a lot of the big emotional beats from Flashpoint would be redundant and feel like rehashing events from season 2. We've seen Barry forced to recreate the accident that gave him his powers, the message from a significant dead character, and even the ending scene of the movie with Barry and Iris at Nora's grave. They don't have the proper character roster to pull off the world on the brink of collapse and the despair and hopelessness that comes with it.
I'm sure we'll see some fuckery to the timeline as a result of Barry's actions, but they'd be better off not trying to recreate the Flashpoint story. Do something smaller in scale that better suits the universe they've already created.

I think Jesse & Earth 2 Wells are coming back. In addition to some fuckery with Eobard since Barry saved his mom but didn't kill him. Although he wouldn't need to assume the Wells identity if the timeline al...my head hurts.

It'd explain why they're out of cows in Eobard Thawne's future world. They were exposed to Velocity-9 and died.
Zoom being the last remaining cow looking for a cure for his species would have been better than what we got.

So are there going to constantly be Earth # of character x being a thing now? I can see this being a convoluted mess (it hasn't been the case so far but with his dad showing up 20 seconds after his Earth 1 dad dies was eh quite something....)

Im pretty sure it's now a pattern that "Wells" leaves the show at the end of a season for different "Wells" to take his place.
