I liked the film, is it already known what's the theme of the next film? I was disappointed for the lack of a teaser.
Probably Phoenix going by the way Jean was built upI liked the film, is it already known what's the theme of the next film? I was disappointed for the lack of a teaser.
all we know is that it's set in the 90s
Yeah that and wolverine i guess(unless they want to do another movie about wolverine), i would like to see Sinister, such an overloocked villainProbably Phoenix going by the way Jean was built up
Did Chuck dawn his cool conquistador "I am going to fuck your mind up" armor?
How aww the Cyclops in this movie? He's my favorite X-Men character, but sadly he didn't have an important role in movies, except 1 & 2.

Cyclops has been my favorite X-Man since, well, forever. I was actually happy with how he was treated this time.
Thanks! Now I can't wait to watch this!He was great and front and centre. I didn't realise they got Tye Sheridan as Cyclops. As his a great young actor. He plays Cyclops slightly cocky but able. His certainly not a footnote like James Marsden was in the the other X Men movies.
A finale battle where all Apocalypse does is stand in the middle of rumble and deflect attacks off a shield is the very definition of holding back. Or running out of money I guess.![]()
Only that? Oh well thank you
EDIT:

The problem is, mr sinister is such a step down from Apocalypse in scope of power, though singers Apocalypse was pretty nerfed

From what I remember in the comics Apocalypse kinda does just stand there deflecting stuff or shoots beams. He'll sometimes Hulk out and get physical but he doesn't really do much.
So is Storm Egyptian now?
I really hate Jean Grey's actress. Felt she was wooden in her acting.

she'll have just as big a role as jubileeAny chance Psylocke will play an important role in the next one considering she was the only one of the four that survived and didnt join the xmen? She wasnt really relevant in this one but I liked the little fighting she actually did.

Man, Storm was severely under powered in this movie. She did fuck all. I know she's young and maybe her powers aren't that developed. But Apocalypse was supposed to magnify her power. If Magneto can go from lifting Baseball stadiums to sapping buildings all around the world, then Storm could summon a few tornadoes or something. Psylocke and Archangel were pretty useless too.
I wonder if Apocalypse, while getting the shit beat out of him by Quicksilver, was thinking "Wow, I really should have spent more time picking out my Four Horsemen."
The Wolverine stuff was great, even if it was minor. Makes me excited for the next Wolverine movie.
All the young Xmen on the good side were the best part of the movie. Jean, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver and Jubileewere all great. I wish the movie cut out most of the Mystique and Moira bits to feature them more. They are a great cast and fun to watch. And they made Cyclops' beam look super powerful, more so than past movies.(lol)

How was Psylocke? I don't know about her in comics, but loved her in games! from X-Men 2: Clone Wars to MvC2.
I was surprised how much more powerful the Phoenix force was than Apocalypse. Jean destroyed Apocalypse like nothing.
"YOU ARE THE FOUR STRONGEST MUTANTS I KNOW"I like how Apocalypse's criteria for his four horsemen is literally just the first four mutants he meets
"YOU ARE THE FOUR STRONGEST MUTANTS I KNOW"
"We are the only mutants you know"
They didn't really give a reason for the four followers. He should have went Pokemon master on them and collected everyone. He really lucked out with Magneto. I imagine he really wanted to trade when Jean, Nightcrawler, and Quicksilver showed up.
I really enjoyed the Quicksilver scene, like by itself, though my friends hated it.
I do agree it takes all the emotional weight out of Havoc's death though.
It's like, oh yeah, he's dead I guess
Yeah, that death was really weird. There's no drama, no real plot reason, no threat, it just kinda happens, and only Scott cares in the end. I'm not even sure what kind of explosive he hit with his beams to make the whole school explode.

Because this fucking movie tried to explain things from the old timeline, that's why.I dunno. Days of Future Past made it pretty clear the one wipes out the other.
Did anyone else laugh as Logan ran out into the woods? That was the most unintentionally comedic shot, just looked so damn silly.
So this Poccy just manipulates matter and not himself?
I mean it gave the new kids something to do on their own away from Mystique, away from Xavier, plus it's where they get the jet and their suits. The weapon x stuff was the worst fillery "this movie needs to be at least 30 minutes longer and needs a Wolverine cameo" thing ever.
Edit : don't get me wrong, it was good and probably the only good action in the whole film. But if you lifted it out of the movie it changes literally nothing.
Edit edit: given the quality of the movie, the " the third movie is always the worst" line was unintentionally hilarious.
