What first party content does Sony have other than SSM and Bend to show off/announce? ND and SP don't count as they're too early in dev, especially ND.
Depends on what you're looking for when you say first party.

If you mean strictly internal studios then Santa Monica, Bend, Sucker Punch and PixelOpus are the only ones unaccounted for. I could also see other small projects in the works at Sony London and maybe Media Molecule from the group that did Tearaway.

If you mean the proper definition of first party (Sony owns IP and funds it) then the possibilities get far greater. From Software might be teaming with Sony again, for example. And then there's always the collaborative projects that Santa Monica, Japan Studio and XDev are always working on.

Do we have any predictions for second-party games? Too early for FromSoft right?

Well, we could see something new from Detroit, that Quantic Dream game. I would say it's too early for From Software, but they announced Dark Souls 3 shortly after the release of Bloodborne, so who knows with them. I wanna say I read something about Level 5 doing an exclusive for Sony, but I could be wrong. And it's obviously way too early to talk about Kojima.

Oh shit true, I forgot about Detroid. Hyped for that as I'm one of the seemingly few people that loved Beyond: Two Souls lol.

Level 5 was rumoured to be working on a big JRPG right? But I can't remember if that was supposed to be Ni No Kuni 2 or not.

I wonder what the chances are for a Helldivers 2 from Arrowhead.

My interest in Ni No Kuni II is 100% dependent on whether or not they updated the battle system. The Team AI might have been the worst I've ever seen in a JRPG. Made the Tales series look industry-leading in the AI department.

Also I'm not expecting it at the press conference outside of sizzle reels.

Yeah, Ni No Kuni is bigger than White Knight Chronicles afaik.

I dunno, but Hino said that "that he’d like to make an epic game that exceeds the scale of White Knight Chronicles". Seems like a new IP. I could be wrong though.

If Verendus is to be believed, though, Level-5 is working on a PS4 first-party title in addition to their third-party game.

Here's hoping we get a new IP after Ni no Kuni II.

Amazing! Could we have Starhawk here..

I wonder if ni no kuni2 will be at e3 I mean it's debut was at psx depending on how far along it is I can see it at e3. The IP did better in the west anyway right?

That's my mentality as well, but others are bringing up the subject of a potential RotTR showing, so I was just commenting on the likelihood of that happening. No, I totally agree that it would make no sense to devote any stage time whatsoever to that game.

Agreed, no chance.

Could be. Ni no Kuni II looks epic.

Yeah, can't wait till we find out what that is.

Okay maybe I went a little extreme but if they want Crash to make a big comeback, they wouldn't release a shovelware game to celebrate 20 years of the franchise. Otherwise the series will be in purgatory again.

I just want to see a high-quality Crash game again, something that'll reinvigorate interest the IP. I'd hate to see not being used for squat.

So why the big interest in Agent? I'm just curious because it was just a logo announcement as some spy/espionage title and that it would be PS3 exclusive. Nothing ever seemed to be said or come from Rockstar since regarding it because they were busy with Red Dead and then moved on to Max Payne 3 and GTAV.

So like, are people generally interested in the premise or just because of it being a Rockstar Games title that we never got?

I'd say both, honestly. A setting and style of game that doesn't really get too much attention being made with a big budget and one of the most respected developers in the industry made a lot of people (myself included) very excited.

I assume it was a combination of them just shifting focus to other projects and the game being too ambitious for its own good? It would be very nice to at least get a confirmation that it isn't COMPLETELY dead.

Just got Sony invite...took much longer this year. Think tickets are harder to come by.

The closest theater in miles who's doing the E3 Theater Experience thing is 4 hours from where I live so no deal for that.

I'd rather watch it on a Twitch stream with some friends.

Was speaking about the conference not the movie theater deal....yeah I wouldn't go to that either.

Well fuck...just found out today my house is copping an 8hr power outage on this day due to apartments being built across the road. I will miss the Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft & PC gaming conferences

At least when my power comes back, they should all be up on youtube to watch in full. Will just need to put myself on media blackout until then :/

Can't you go to starbuck and use their wifi or something? Order a cup of coffee and stay there for 2 hours.

I think Ni no Kuni II will be there. The original PS3 version of NNK came out in November 2011 so that team has probably been working on NNKII for a while now (even taking into account that the English version they put a lot of effort into localising didn't come until January 2013 that's three years ago). The trailer also made it seem like a lot was done. Hopefully they have improved the battle system a lot and we can see it in a new demo (for the press not public) at E3.

Mmm may be a bit early. I'm thinking psx, unless that spiderman rumor holds wait cuz something like that would be at e3

We're approaching two years since First Light, or 2.5 years since Second Son. I don't think it's unreasonable that they might have something to show; particularly if it's built on the Second Son tech.

Jack was a great guy but I think I like Shawn better(but just a bit). Jack was passionate about his product but I feel like Shawn is more of a gamer.

I think Jack certainly had better charisma and stage presence.

Besides Dead Don't Ride, Horizon, Dreams, Gran Turismo Sport, Gravity Rush 2, The Last Guardian & God of War, what else can we expect from 1st party, or is that pretty much it?

Maybe Everybody's Golf, Wild or The Tomorrow Children? They might be a bit too small fry that SCEA doesn't think would suit E3.

I think Yoshida put that rumor to rest.

That's a shame. I'd love a new major RPG from Japan Studio. I'm really excited for both Gravity Rush 2 and The Last Guardian, but I hope they have something else in development as well (and no, I don't mean Knack 2).

A white knight reboot would be cool. I would like level 5 to include an online mode to whatever RPG they are possibly making outside of NNK2. I loved white knight online and joining communities.

Why do people keep bringing this up as if executives don't lie all the time
Yep. If Japan Studio are developing a AAA JRPG "to rival FF" (which I still don't fully believe) he wouldn't casually confirm a JRPG is in development. He especially (compared to most other execs which are already tight lipped) never breaks and gives out scoops in interviews/fan questions (just judging by Colin Moriarty discussing his large amount of experience interviewing him and seeing him do interviews/get asked questions by fans at events).

Public Wifi at an Aussie Starbucks would definitely not be able to handle a livestream event lol
Oh you're in Australia too? McDonald's and Hungry Jacks have wifi fast enough to keep up with YouTube livestreams. Twitch doesn't work for crap when I tried it (unless you drop down to mobile).

Some coffee shops also have decent wifi. Westfield works too - again, YouTube streaming, medium quality.

Best option is your phone if you're in a 4g area. Doesn't take as much data as you'd think (1-3gigs for 2 conferences)

I've been in a similar position before :D

Is there a list of what's realistically expected? I know about GoW4, Dead Don't Ride and Crash possibly happening (mostly just from reading this thread lol). I also assume Detroit might pop up too. I'm not up to date on what everyone else is working on though,

Also these aren't exactly new teases but here. I'm bringing them up because I'm curious on people's opinions in relation to this conference

Potential(?) new Wild Arms from Media.Vision?

(Feel happy to correct me if it's been confirmed as not Wild Arms, I don't really remember if anything happened from this)

PlayStation All-Stars

(Still not sure if this is real but I'm just curious as the first of these posts was 3 years ago. Also can't help but bring it up considering
the Crash teases
)

Tarsier Studios posted this tease just now, they are known to have very close relations with XDev & Sony. Reveal in 24h

Next week aparently.
It’s been a little quiet from us lately. You’d be forgiven for thinking we haven’t been up to much … but you’d be wrong. Although we can’t tell you exactly what it is just yet, over the next week all will be revealed.

We know they are working on Hunger, a game we still dont know if its a 2nd party Sony game or not. I feel this is prob related to Hunger

WiLD & the Tomorrow Children would be 2nd party, but it would be interesting to see Ancel's game show up. Also, I completely forgot about Matterfall from Housemarque. I'm really interested to see what that turns out to be.
