I paid 399 for a 43 inch 4k and it is indeed 60hz.
4k TVS are dirt cheap nowadays unless you want a silly 65 inch or a curved thing.
I don't want a cheap one but a good one. And no, the refresh rate is not enough for me.

They won't be killing NEO in the slightest.....not sure where you get that from. Ps4 and NEO will sell well, better then X1 or scorpio.
Why is everybody so keen on 4K res?? Now lets count the amount of people who have 4K TV's

..hello?
Not kill, but stop Xbox fans from buying Neo or PS4.
Just out of curiosity, what of the two options below would people here prefer?
a) An Xbox with the same power as Neo, released holiday 2016
b) An Xbox with a significant (50+%) power increase over Neo, released holiday 2017

If the gap is true, I don't think X1 will ever outsell the PS4 but fully expect Scorpio to outsell Neo but only if they're similarly priced. All 3rd party games will be demoed on Scorpio, MS still have a heathly dudebro image, combined with superior looking sports/fps, strong online support I can't think why they wouldn't.Not kill, but stop Xbox fans from buying Neo or PS4.

C) An Xbox with significant (50+%) power increase over Neo, release this holiday 2016 at same price or cheaper.
c) Scorpio releasing holiday 2016 ~30-40% more powerful than Neo. MS is going to eat the bill for a year and make a profit on hardware by mid 2017 when tech production costs go down.
People really think these consoles will push 4K on all games?
What planet do you live on.
What about the people who want the strongest multiplats or moved to PS for that with the XB1? There was a big shift at the start of this gen. Just look at that Nielson survey at the top point for the PS4.Not kill, but stop Xbox fans from buying Neo or PS4.
I think you have to spend quite a bit to get a real 120hz 4k TV.
Talk about 4K at 30 fps... is that even really worth doing in 4K? So much of that extra resolution will go to waste in a lot of ways because any slight motion renders it all moot as it turns to blurry mush. Surely 4K resolution only truly shines when your source material is at least 60fps and preferably 120fps.

Power is a primary concern for Microsoft with Scorpio. The PS4 has remained a constant leader over the Xbox One in this respect, with games on the platform running at higher resolution and a higher framerate on the PS4 than their Xbox One counterparts. Microsoft is determined to end this narrative.

No way, unless you are talking about US only. The Xbox brand is dead in a lot of countries including some very big markets, Germany and Japan in particular. The Neo could be priced more expensive than the Scorpio and I would still bet on the Neo selling more worldwide.
They don't need to wait to have a more powerful system, I'm really not sure why so many people think that. All they need to do is have a larger APU in their system. If they're wraiting it is because of the CPU and RAM configuration, and those will likely be ready for Spring. For all we know Zen and HBM2 could be ready for later this year too, just like how Sony got ahead of the curve with larger GDDR chips. Didn't the PS4 and XBO release ahead of AMDs own products that used Jaguar and GCN 2.0 as well?Just out of curiosity, what of the two options below would people here prefer?

It doesn't work that way.
This makes zero sense at all. How in the world is resolution going to waste because of the framerate? By this logic movies should have just stuck to 480p.Talk about 4K at 30 fps... is that even really worth doing in 4K? huh? Not sure what you mean, it doesn;t work that way. People who are hardcore xbox fans were going to get xbox anyway, anyone else is going to get what they want based on numerous factors, and world wide outside the US/UK Scorpio is not going to make people to stop buying neo
What he said, read it.
If Scorpio was not a thing then xbox people might well have bought a Neo for the VR alone.
I wager they will no longer consider that purchase, unless by some miracle PSVR gets exclusive to Rogue Squadron VR, or something.

I was considering jumping in on Neo until there were rumours of this. I'll probably cancel my PSVR preorder.
Brilliant, RME.
Customers were desperate for more power, that's not what is going to happen with Neo/Scorpio.

Unless it's a new generation where MS ditches XB1 (and things get crazy), it's not happening in the US either. Mindshare is a huge thing and it's the biggest obstacle MS faces.
Killing the Neo is more important than selling a couple millions more Xbox one.

From the horse's mouth
Not that you are a horse, Good Sir...
Oh come now
I think people are underselling the role of PS4's power advantage over the X1. I don't see why it's unlikely that many people will switch to Scorpio if the third-party differences are big enough.
Totally, it sometimes seems that this gen (PS4/X1) has made people think that resolution is the only important metric when addressing visual fidelity.
The same as when 50 Cent convinced hip-hop it was all about album sales to measure a good album.
Album sales doesn't always equate to top tier album.
What makes it funnier is that some people screamed "native 1080p" only to play those "native" 1080p games on a 4K screen.Totally, it sometimes seems that this gen (PS4/X1) has made people think that resolution is the only important metric when addressing visual fidelity.
I'm just one person but I bought a launch PS4 because it was more powerful than the X1. It also annoyed me that MS forced the purchase of a peripheral that was worthless to me. I didn't care about the relative costs. $100 isn't a big enough difference to factor much into my decision since these are infrequent purchases. If the power disparity was reversed I would have bought an X1 instead. I eventually did pick up a refurb X1 for Halo5. Later on I picked up Titanfall also. That's it...two games. I've bought everything else for the PS4 since it is more powerful. I have no brand loyalty. I'll buy whichever one is objectively better if one is clearly better. An exclusive that I decide I must have could force my hand to buy the other but then I'll still buy all the multiplats for the better system.
So I'm in the camp of waiting to find out the specs and release dates for the new consoles. If Scorpio is more powerful then I most likely switch to getting all my games for it instead. If it releases within a few months of Neo then I probably skip Neo altogether. If they are a full year apart and I see games that I want that are taking advantave of the Neo, then maybe I pick it up as a stop gap until Scorpio arrives and sell my existing PS4 to offset some of the cost.
