I really hope Black Goku is actually a Goku and not someone that just took over his body via possible Potarra fusion or just wanted to look like him. Given that there are multiple timelines for Universe 7 alone, there are in essence a potentially limitless amount of alternate universes for Universe 7. There would have to be a legitimately evil Goku or two out there.

I know that Whis said there are 12 universes, but given the fact that there are at least 3 different timelines in universe 7, I like to think of each of those universes as a prime universe with several alternate non prime universes that branch off from them. I'm wondering if there will be a scenario for Whis to say that if one of the 12 prime universes is destroyed, then all of the alternate universes that branched off from the prime one would cease to exist as well.

Or they may not even bother with it at all. Such an explanation heard by Goku prime might cause his head explode due to the complexity of it, and thus make all of the alternate Gokus respective heads explode at the same time too or something whacky like that.

I'm reading too much into this. I'm just gonna go back to continue enjoying DBS.

I personally don't like that "black" emphasis too much.

But at the very least if there really only that choice, i'd go with black TO the future...

That youtube comment was funny though : Trunks' world died to save the show / The future died to save the show

There's a quote from Black where he references Trunks by
"Saiyan" though, which makes it sound like he isn't really one.

From what I understand (and I could be wrong, so you people who love correcting mistakes TAKE IT EASY), alternate timelines in the Dragon Ball setting ONLY occur when time travel occurs. So, Trunks going back in time caused one split. It's possible Trunks going back in time again will cause another split here.

So, while technically there are infinite universes (as I can only assume time travel becomes more haphazardly used in the future??? and time goes infinitely??????), the only way an evil Goku would exist is if someone went back in time and altered Goku's growth from infant to adult.

Unless someone invents a new time machine that DOESN'T split the timeline.

(I might also be getting this all from Xenoverse, which isn't canon, as far as we know so far (and probably won't be??). I can't remember if this was ever like, officially confirmed?)

(Also, it's entirely possible they'll just throw all of this out and pretend it's not even relevant anymore.)

I mean he's still Future Trunks. They can just explain it away as branching timelines gone crazy. They could say he's still the same Future Trunks, but somehow his timeline split after he killed Cell.
 
They said this is Trunks 17 years later, does that mean he is in his mid 30's now?

If yes he is 39, not just mid 30s. Future Trunks' final appearance in the manga, when he defeated Future Cell, is a whopping 3 years (from his perspective) after he said goodbye to the present cast.

He even looked visibly older:

First of all, you use the Trunks that killed Cell, as reference. But what about Bulma ? Future Bulma during that cell appearance looked nothing like she did 3 years prior.

But we've seen in the trailer that she is identical to her first appearance in the future.

Which means it can't be far off from the cell appearance because she doesn't look any older than EoZ Bulma. (I'd argue she looks younger)

If it were 17 years from Super's present, she sure as hell wouldn't look like that.

Toriyama designed GT Trunks, who is about Trunks' age when he kills Cell ... So that mature design is irrelevant when it comes to figuring out age, he changed his mind.

If barely any time had passed since Trunks killed Cell in his timeline, it would help explain why he's still SSJ.

I guess my questions would be the following:

1) The RNG (and especially the RNG to even get certain fight events to occur) was what especially made progression in the original game overtly tedious, after awhile. Will the RNG at least be made more lenient, if not completely excised and replaced with something more ideal?

2) Will there be any reworking of the PvP system? 3 minutes really wasn't enough by the time custom characters had extensive health bars and other health options. I think what Revven suggested in another post about allowing for custom rules in rules, and maybe a 10-15 minute max time limit for Ranked would at least be a start!

Yeah, they seem to have just thrown that design out of the window in general, like with the time patrol stuff, etc.

Honestly I think Trunks looks better when he's younger looking, the older he gets the more ridiculous that haircut is on him.

So this'll be on camera? Do you have a youtube channel we should be looking out for? Or will this be a typed out interview thingy?

Other than the obvious questions (how many characters are they shooting for), I'd like to know if they will have a free for all mode with JUST players (no CPU)? I'd like to have 3 human players (no teams) just online duking it out. You could only do 1v11s or team play. You couldnt do FFA. And there was always a time limit which sucked.

Oh, and tell them dont forget to allow other stages for local 1v1 play PLEASE! Playing the same world tournament stage over and over again is boring.

All in all, Im just looking for more multiplayer option settings.

Watch the two movies (the Super Cut of Resurrection F is the best bet) and start at episode 28.
