We must have watched different streams. They were very positive on Dishonored 2 which is pretty big since the first didn't grab any of them in any way.
They were also appropriately intrigued by Prey.
Their reaction seemed to meet the show exactly as I expect given their relationship with Bethesda's IPs.
Okay I'd say you are more accurate. Positive, but sedate overall.

Is the Doom demo only the start of the game? If so, you have seen nothing yet. It gets better and better.
No need to be so defensive, GB have popped off at stuff getting announced as well, they were positive about Dishonored but in a pretty mild way, not really surprising as I don't think any of them played much of the first game, (Maybe Austin?) and most of them don't have the patience for a stealth game in the first place.
Damned if you do damned if you don't. EA got assailed by Polygon for not acknowledging it.

I appreciated what people representing Bethesda did but the criticism is more "damned if you half ass it, damned if you don't do nothing at all". There are degrees of criticism and different criticisms.
I'm guessing a big company like Bethesda would probably not be agile enough to get all the approvals for a bigger response.

Yeah if anything I was surprised by how exited Jeff sounded for it, giving he's not a big stealth guy or fan of the first game.
Overall as GB reactions go, they seemed quite positive on the whole conference.

The reaction to Quake was amazing. From pure excitement to kinda of confusion. Brad didn't seem to know what to make out if it.

EA was... eh. Titanfall looked surprisingly cool, EA Originals sounds cool. The Star Wars stuff was just masturbatory fluff and the Mass Effect thing was nothing more than a tease of vague ideas.
Bethesda atleast showed that Dishonored footage, but Elder Scrolls Online, Legends, and a Skyrim remaster don't really speak to me. Not sure what Prey is yet, and Quake Champions doesn't count for anything until we see gameplay.
