Scorpio will be like a high end PC. XB1 will be like a low end PC.
Plays the same games.
yup, and on 2019, MS will have the more powerful machine and so on... say goodbye to the traditional console generation
So where does Scorpio stand on the DBZ scale?
Except it's not..?
It's $299 bruh.
I gotta save for Scorpio and a 4k tv so I'm glad they announced this early.Halo 6 *facemelt*
The question is, will there be Scorpio exclusive games or is Scorpio high end xb1 in terms of platform.
PLEASE GOD
Trade in PROGRAMS
16GB Ram I hope?

The specs aren't final though? There's some denial in here about how weak the neo is. Reminds me of the good ole days when people would shout "but the dgpu!" Now it's "but the specs aren't final!"
Crazy days
I don't know what you mean.
My point is that the Scorpio hardware is limited by the current Xbox One hardware. It can't have its potential fully tapped as long as they enforce a shared library between it and the current Xbox One hardware.
Probably not, but I wouldn't rule out a bump up to about 5.5 TF via overclocking.
I think so because the Xbone install base isn't worth fully catering your new console to. Better to start afresh. Why do you think that?
It's not impossible to manage.
Y'all ever seen...
...a PC game? They, like, scale and shit. :O
Maybe not impressive for high-end PC users, but DEFINITELY impressive for a home console.
Lol. Seriously though, what a pointless announcement. How the hell is anyone suppose to be excited for the Xbox One right now when you just revealed basically everything is on PC and you have Scorpio coming? Even if Neo releases at the time rumors state, the specs are irrelevant since the already leading console by a large margin will have the upgraded brother console out for more than a year before Scorpio hits the shelves.
the significant change though is that with XB1 it was beaten by low end GPUs almost immediately. Scorpio is high end GPUs now and maybe mid-range by the time it comes out. It won't be beaten by super cheap PCs nearly as quickly as XB1 was.
I wonder how they're going to handle that, the difference in power is huge.
Was seriously considering a purchase of the Alienware Alpha i7.
How will this stack up to that?
Delay Neo please Sony, if Scorpio is significantly better I will wait for that.
not sure where to even put this but
Would sony go for 8tf? hmmmm, guess it depends on time frame of release but if I had to guess they will release another one 2 years later anyways..
Lmao. What? You trying for dumbest post of the day here?Wow, looks like PS4K will be a stillbirth. Shocking that Sony let Microsoft beat them in hardware spec.
I'm sure there's a market for this machine, but I have a lot of difficulty understanding how the Scorpio makes sense for a "hardcore" gamer. If most Xbox games will be available on PC from now on, and if MS is going to be frequently updating Xbox hardware, why should a gamer invest in the Xbox console ecosystem? Wouldn't it make sense to just invest into a PC? That way you have access to way more games and additional storefronts (Steam, GOG, etc.). You can also choose to use KB/M or Controller.
Where does Scorpio fit in for the enthusiast gamer? I'm not a fan of the way Sony is moving to a hardware refresh model either, but they seem to be keeping a lot of exclusives tied to the PlayStation platform, so as an enthusiast, I'm forced to buy a PlayStation to play those games.
Lmao.It doesn't matter; specs in a close environment can produce so much more than PC;
So, expect exclusive games on Scorpio to look better than PC games at max settings.
They will probably have another revision ready by then, but I'm wondering how anyone makes the pitch to developers to start a whole new cycle if any of this nonsense takes off. Who makes games for a PS5 / Xbox (?) if the combined user base of PS4, XBox, Scorpio, and Neo is hitting the 100 million unit mark? Compatibility will not be an issue going forward, but I'm wondering who takes the plunge first to make games that will not work on the established user bases. This is some twilight zone stuff. When do you think the ps5 will come out? 2018? Will they rush things along because of this? Interesting times!

How feasible would be to thisPCnew Xbox runs Steam (PC games)? If Microsoft does this (basically have its own Steam Machine without SteamOS lol) then I'm board.
It will be significantly faster in terms of GPU, probably not in terms of CPU.Was seriously considering a purchase of the Alienware Alpha i7.

Not happening. All of this is about Microsoft pushing their own ecosystem. How feasible would be to thisPCnew Xbox runs Steam (PC games)? If Microsoft does this (basically have its own Steam Machine without SteamOS lol) then I'm board.
Is it really? Or is the Xbox One S with 500 gigs 299? Amazon disagrees with you.
Xbox Scorpio 1,5 years away. Playstation 4,5 about 4 months away. Sony cannot change specs at this time. I'm guessing Playstation 5 will be out holliday 2018 with even higher specs than the Scorpio. Console lifecycle will be alot shorter from now on I think.
