I thought the standout game of the conference might have been CoD, it could potentially be fantastic depending on how much control you get during ship combat.
Really, really, really weird.Wanting PR speak is weird.
I don't know about everyone else but I want to see games that interest me, which, outside of God of War and the non-talking part of Horizon, this show didn't have.New game reveals? Tons of unseen footage? Isn't that what we all want?
Wanting PR speak is weird.
They were pretty vague on what those VR things were though, went right into a Call of Duty demo.
This is pretty spot on analysis of a good but weird conference

I also don't get why they start talking about the structure of the presser all of a sudden. I don't know but "they needed someone to say the VR block is over" is not something I would've expected to hear from those guys.
Tbh nothing that Sony showed looked amazing or stood out.
That joy pills game that they showed on Microsoft's conference is probably the best thing so far.

It's happening again!!!
lmao people get upset with the dudes after sony every year.
I agree but I get the vibe that the VR stuff is fluff. I have no idea how on stage demos would change that. They explained that, if they wanted to just post a bunch of trailers they could have just hosted a ton of videos and don't need a press conference to do that. A press conference should have more information instead of just trailers.
I think most of the guys have a distinct disdain for the Yakuza Series - sucks for them, they're missing out!

I think part of the somewhat negative reaction to Sony's conference can be attributed to the ending; it felt really flat and anticlimactic to me. If they would have ended with a bigger bang, it would have made a better overall impression.
Resident Evil VII for best logo treatment of the show
My rankings of this year's press conferences:
Sony
Bethesda
Microsoft
Electronic Arts
Ubisoft
They ended a VR slot with a untitled trailer that looked live EVE Valkyrie. That's pretty poor structure. Though no, they shouldn't be talking about the conference and should be jizzing about a bunch of gameplay trailers when the most interesting one was a Shadow of Mordor knockoff.

We have an idea on who is doing the Crash Remaster? Is Activision doing it in-house are farming it out to someone like BluePoint?
