So I just rematches the Zelda trailer but 2 big things that stood out besides the cooking and stuff is that you get different types of weapons like a spear, and even don a full set of metal armor

Some areas looked kind of barren in that Zelda trailer.
Pretty cool that you can wear amor and use spears though. It also looked like you had to forage and hunt for food.

It's showing a snipit of story stuff and then falling back to the nice theme and softness. Clearly it's not all going o be happy nice warm days.

I think it's just a bad music edit. The crescendo/cut to black works just fine - the problem is that the black frame doesn't hold long enough and when the music comes in it comes in slightly too late on the beat. If you notice those sorts of things, that's going to feel weird even if you don't know why it feels/sounds weird.

But I don't think we're missing anything there. I think it's just an iffy cut. It happens in film trailers semi-frequently, too.

Damit... Managed to skip Wii U... until now. Maybe I can hold on for NX and get back into console gaming. Zelda was my favorite series until I played Skyward Sword and somehow lost interest.

I just hope it has a lot less hand holding than Skyward Sword.

Unless you have really peculiar tastes, the Wii U has a bunch of great software.
