is the demo really short?
It can be. There's tricks and puzzles that add longevity.

So the dummy finger is a key.
I found it by searching for biohazard, going to the special edition info page, going to the "game page" and it was the second or third selection down (press down to go to the next).Would someone please post the US store demo link?
Excitement redeflatedThey already confirmed RE7 is entirely first person so this isn't going to happen.
Did anyone find out where to use it yet?
The trailer song is stuck in my head
EDIT:
Anyone done a trailer analysis ?
It's valid to criticize a game like this for having a B tier story... but it ignores that the B tier story of the earlier games in the series wasn't a design decision either. So... yeah. And 'campy action horror' isn't what the series has always been known for.
But B tier stories? That's been pretty consistent throughout the whole franchise.
So yes... a valid complaint... but not one that says anything specific about RE7 really.
Again, prior to RE4 we didn't play these games because the writing and game mechanics were good. I'm not disappointed that the mechanics are different and the writing is still B tier.
Still can't get over how bad this looks to me. I wanted RE to go back to horror but this is almost a real life nightmare scenario. Do this shit as a spinoff or something. I don't want to play as a John Doe#034. I wonder if they did it like this because it's cheaper. If it's just a hide and seek game then there won't be a lot of mechanics to implement and balance with encounters etc. that would cost a lot more money. I guess I'm just really salty about this. I feel like I already have my fill with this type of first person horror games.
Seems very likely.
Their Panta Rhei troubles probably played a big factor into the shift towards going the Kitchen route too. Even though they're still working on that engine, apparently.

Anyone tried to use the PS4 mic? It worked in some segments of PT.
Is the demo jumpscary like PT? or is it just puzzles in a creepy setting?
I don't want to play it if its jumpscares
But not like this..In retrospect now it's so funny how people doubted them going back to horror. lol

RE6 had horror.
Maybe the hidden ending is Leon suplexing the ghost/zombie woman after she kills guy you're playing, and calling her small time.
Thats also really nice! The japanese version is also pretty cool

Just finished the demo.
I'm really happy that horror is back =)
The game is very PT-esque, a bit less scary comparing the two demos but with typical RE elements like secret passages
It will be interesting to see how much they're keeping under wraps.
It looks really good and seems to be running at 60 fps to me, I don't know if this has been confirmed.
Looking at the trailer again the voice says "she back". Wonder who "she" is?
Apparently I didn't beat it, lol
I found the key after watching the tape and seeing the zombie, revealing the crawl space and fireplace handle. Then I went outside and was handcuffed, shit happened and it was over.
But you can open the crawlspace before tape. And you can make a phonecall?
Its a trigger. Can people triggeror is it random?the ghost girl
Alex Wesker maybe?
Was handcuffed? We all just get punched doing that, no handcuffs. Shit happened?
RE6 had horror.
I guess he means the scene after leaving where the other guy is shown trying to cut your shackles off and is then attacked.
Alex Wesker maybe?
That would make the most sense timeline would fit
But not like this..
How old would Natalia be now?
