can't help but think that the dummy finger has something to do with the piano.
I just hope is not a Finger to us from Capcom! LOL
I am dying to know what the Axe and Dummy Finger do as well!

So is the guy we play as the son or camera man named Clancy?
Go tell Aunt Rhody,
Go tell Aunt Rhody,
Go tell Aunt Rhody
The old gray goose is dead.
The one she's been saving,
The one she's been saving,
The one she's been saving
To make a feather bed.
The goslings are mourning,
The goslings are mourning,
The goslings are mourning,
Because their mother's dead.
The old gander's weeping,
The old gander's weeping,
The old gander's weeping,
Because his wife is dead.
She died in the mill pond,
She died in the mill pond,
She died in the mill pond
From standing on her head.
Go tell Aunt Rhody,
Go tell Aunt Rhody,
Go tell Aunt Rhody
The old gray goose is dead.
Since we're quoting ourselves and everything.
RE6 sold well, not reaching 5, but it was beaten pretty mercilessly by critics. And the general criticisms from press and fans was that it was too action driven and was missing the genuine horror and scares. I still enjoyed those games, I'd even say they're really fun action games. And that's the problem, they moved so far away from the roots of the series, they weren't even horror games anymore. RE4 started this movement, but it at least kept close with the atmosphere and scares. Even though there were a bunch of crazy actions set-pieces, it still had plenty of moments that were genuinely scary, even after gunning down hordes of foes and fighting big bosses.
First person turns the whole franchise upside down.
You weren't playing as yourself, you were playing as iconic RE characters. But now this will change. There are enough Horror games with first person out there already. No need for RE to rehash that now.
Also for people with motion sickness it's stupid. Not everyone is able to play a first person game without getting headaches unless its total comic style like Borderlands,
Yep.So is thethe farthest anyone has gotten?axe
That RE7 song in the trailer is pretty disturbing.
Who sings this version of the song?
There's aWow, I couldn't believe that teaser.
Are we really going back 20 years in game design?
No places to take cover, no shit to shoot.
Yay boring spooky corridors.

Thats a bit of narrow minded way to think of it, but I agree FPS design has been around for years and while some see it as refreshing I see it as old restricted tat game design best left for low budget titles because amateur devs can't get the camera and collision detection working in 3rd Person its best left for shooters, luckily VR fixes a few of FP's problems but then VR brings it's own limitations too.Wow, I couldn't believe that teaser.

EVERYTHING IS WAIST HIGH
MY ARMS ARE GUNS
i bet the same people would cry again when we would get just another shitty Action Resi.Has it been confirmed that RE7 will be fully first person? I mean it could be first person only for VR? We've seen so little and people are already on barricades saying this will be the shittiest shit ever.

Whats the name of the song in the trailer? Shazam couldnt find it
Surprisingly the reception doesn't seem to be very big. Considering the wait since RE6 for a new RE game.
When RE6 got announced that shit was huge.
I just don't fucking understand. If they're going this route why the hell didn't they just make Resident Evil 3.5? They could do much of what they're doing here, but it still be Resident Evil.

RE7 PS4 Pre-Order Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCPMKmlddk8
I like the song. Wonder if it's the game's main theme or menu theme? It sounds relaxing. Or hell, Save Room?

In the middle right, there is a section where you DEFINITELY drive a vehicle. You can see the steering wheel, and then an option for you to smash the window and a car rearview mirror, so there's some sort of vehicle section.
I'm done for now. I'm completely stuck.
Capcom no longer has any idea what to do with their franchise. Any optimism that I had is long gone by now.
People who talk about Resident Evil having exploration and puzzles and somehow consider this aspect a trendsetter need to look back during the time Resident Evil was released. We had Alone in the Dark which was pretty much an exploration game having survival horror and puzzles and Resident Evil definitely took inspiration from it for that aspect. But what made it stand out, what made it unique, was its characters and the boss battles.
When people look back at the series, they will fondly remember the boss fights. The infected shark and the huge snake along with the Tyrant were iconic. So were the characters like Wester, Chris, Barry and Jill. This continued into Resident Evil 2-3 with each having bigger and badder version of villains. For all the hate Resident Evil 4-5-6 get, they stuck very close to this formula from the old Resident Evil games. Cheesy and crazy boss fights mixed with a cast that was loved by fans.
Maybe my reaction is premature but they had one whole trailer along with the final release date and it showed nothing like Resident Evil is known for.
The other thing that elevated my fear was the focus on VR. No matter what Capcom says, Resident Evil VII essentially looks like a game that was designed for VR in mind. The other thing that it appears to have took inspiration from are games like Amnesia and Outlast, because apparently they are so popular among the YouTubers who love to post their overreactions over these games on YouTube.
I may be wrong about this one, maybe having full price might mean Capcom is going to make a meaty campaign which delivers the classic Resident Evil experience. Boss fights, memorable characters, cheesy story and exploration with a focus on Survival horror. Maybe they will just say fuck to all and go full Outlast and Amnesia and instead try to make an experience fit for VR. I would love to see the former being true but the E3 trailer, which showcased the game, didn't really follow this tone at all.
