I haven't heard anything about more shooters but that someone was apparently blocking the emergency exit doors. But who the hell knows.

Yeah im seeing this a lot. I even read someone was blocking doors. We dont know anything...heck has there even been emergency calls released?
Whenever stuff happens there are always initial reports of multiple gunman due to the chaos, when actual information comes out showing there isn't, conspiracy people hang on to those initial incorrect reports as proof of coverups.
Happens pretty much everytime.

I was kinda wondering how the timeline of events went as well. Was he really carrying that much ammo? If so, that's a lot.
Also, no pictures of him before the incident?
It's fear of being compromised and the fact a system like that costs a lot of money to buy and maintain.

Came across another interview video on youtube of the crying mother from the wesh live stream news feed that day (sadly, I believe her son was one of those killed). Jesus the comments there are something. 99% say that she's a crisis actor and that the whole shooting was staged. Like, what??

The disgusting thing I keep thinking about is how there's probably a disturbingly large amount of people in this country who don't see the people killed in this instance as victims. People who, even if they won't say it, feel as though this is God's will. Leviticus and all that.

I understand the first part, but I thought you get a break on your insurance when you have a surveillance system up. Better safe than sorry in my book... but again, given the nature of the club, I understand why they wouldn't want cameras inside. At least outside though...

There is a video of a guy stating that was the case (he had some inaccuracies to his story). There was another interview (I recorded it) with a guy stating that his friend who survived being in the bathroom heard him say it on the phone as he talked to someone else. Apparently its the black guy who spoke up if he asked was anyone black and told them he "had no problems with blacks". Patience corroborated that part of the story today as she was interviewed, but she said nothing about him saying there were more shooters, but we have not seen or heard from the guy who spoke up yet.

Somewhere they reported 30 people where jammed into the disabled toilet, he went in and shot them over the top and underneath, said one survivor who played dead and still took bullets.
Go look up videos of people on shooting ranges emptying 30 bullet clips using an ar-15 they can shoot 3 rounds a second including aiming, it isn't surprising to me at all that he could have killed 49 and wounded 50.

Westbrook Baptist Church is just an overt expression of ideals that exist in several sects of Christianity scattered across the US. You've got guys like Pat Robinson who make their living on cursing the gay agenda on his TV program, to groups like the Duggars are part of that devote days to spreading "truth" about the perverseness of trans pederasts. Heck, Cruz, Jindal and Huckabee attended a Christian faith event where the preacher was screeching about how homosexuals deserve death. And this is just the pock marks on the Christian faith. Within and outside of religion there are sentiments about how LGBTQ+ people's deserve all the tragedy that befalls them

And then Don said, "Like what?" Specifically (apart from the night clubs), she said that he loved to take pictures of himself. She paused and said that even straight men love to take pictures of themselves....."but to an extent."
She also (out of context) mentioned that he used steroids. Someone in the thread mentioned that a lot of gay men use steroids...something that I didn't know.
As far as the homophobia is concerned, she didn't get into any details, but said that homosexuality was looked down upon in their family. especially in the family of a political leader (referring to the father). She said that having a son that was gay would bring shame to the entire family.
She also said that she heard the dad call him gay (in a different language) and the son responded with laughter, making her think it was a joke.
You'd think she would know whether or not he was, but was more uncertain than anything, IMO.
As far as his mental stability was concerned (or lack thereof), some guy said that he did not exhibit the signs of a psychopath/sociopath and that something probably made him snap.

On tmz they have an article where they say the ex-wife's new husband said that he knew he was gay or something and that the fbi told the ex-wife not to bring up or mention his sexuality in interviews which could be an explanation why her interviews she is not really giving a sufficient answer.

I think so too. Sounds like she knew this was going to happen. Once he started scoping the place out and buying ammo, that should have been the time she contacted the police. I can understand wanting to talk sense into your loved one but she let it go too far.
The fact that she is being an open book for the feds is the only thing probably saving her. My guess is she'll get some kind of light sentence in the end but who knows.
As upsetting as this is, we shouldn't discount the fact that she may also have been a victim based on his history of domestic abuse.
And that's why I don't think she should have a harsh sentence, but she should be held accountable nonetheless.
You go to the FBI, you tell them everything, and they give you protection.

He battered his previous wife and the ex-wife's comments that he was prone to mood swings and outbursts, it's not crazy to think the current wife was under duress.
God, the bit I read about all those people who hid in the bathroom stalls as the shooting was taking place and the girl survivor talking about the smell of lead getting more pungent as the shooter neared closer was awful. I can't even imagine dying in a fucking stall, what a massacre.
I'm sure that will be considered by prosecutors and the jury. Unless she was a captive, not sure how she can avoid charges completely from what I read.
I don't know. If you were married to a psychopath that beat you for minor discretions and was mentally unstable, would you take his threats about mass murder as fact or would you fear for the consequences of alerting the authorities about a false alarm? Would you fear for your child?
I am so upset by this tragedy. I have spent every night since Sunday crying myself to sleep.
I still don't think that this means his wife is guilty of a crime, even if this lunatic told her about this plan (or any others) given the possible threat she lived under.
The one girl who was talking about how she and her cousin were communicating by poking one another (making sure each other was still alive)....it was such a gripping story. The way she was telling it was like you were watching a movie/reading a book. It was absolutely gut wrenching.
Eh....I'm not really buying that. Don't know why the FBI -- of all things -- would tell her not to mention that.
Are you kidding me? Had she reported this, this entire tragedy could've been prevented. She should absolutely face charges and harsh penalties if she knew and didn't report it. 49 people are dead and it could've potentially been avoided.
You are not wrong, and you are right to be angry and outraged. For me personally, I wonder what I would have done in her shoes if I was married to a violent psychopath whose threats may have been delusion , and if I had a child to worry about. I don't know what the answer to that question is, but I'm not ready to condemn her yet.
It's true, I can't speak for her state of mind and probably feared for the safety of their child.
But I couldn't take such a huge threat as an empty one, especially if she knew that he had been questioned before.
Even if it was a false alarm, I'm sure the FBI could have helped her out of her current situation.
Yes, some gay people are homophobic and full of self hate. But homophobia and hatred is still mostly perpetrated by straight people. It's been far too pervasive throughout history to be mostly a closeted gay thing.

Victims of abuse have their minds really fucked up by their abusers. I think she should be held accountable, but at the same time, she's a victim herself of this psychopath and that should be taken into account.
Remember the FBI had already investigated this guy before, without her involvement, yet they did NOTHING to prevent this atrocity. Let's say she had notified the FBI, would the FBI have actually done anything?

My uncle (who is one year older than me) is bi-polar. Before he was diagnosed he literally held his family hostage with his outbursts and threats, and that was when he was 16. Dealing with someone who you think you know being unpredictable is a very scary thing. If she was under duress I don't think it's unreasonable to understand why she did nothing.

Ny times has a video from a security guard that the worked with him for a year. His ex wife wasn't wrong he was bipolar, alternatively raging and then being nice. He basically stalked the security guard after they ended the gig, sending up to 30 text messages to him in a day. he just ignored them, but felt he was unhinged.

It's very clear 44's hands are tied in this situation. He needs Congress to push legislation through so he can sign it. This means people need to put pressure on their representatives to enact policy that prevents someone on a terrorist watchlist from purchasing an assault rifle.
This entire situation has me sad since Sunday. What type of person sees another person happy having a great time and interrupts that to kill them? All Americans should not live in fear that a deranged crazy person that has access to guns will kill them. It is impossible to ban guns as more guns exist in this country than people but common sense measures need to be put in place.
