not as much as you think, CNET got a bunch of now expensive domains for pennies on the dawn of the internet.I honestly wonder how much they paid to secure that url
although they could sell it instead of redirecting to GB (or GS)

Sssshhhhh! You'll wake the beast.
I wish they'd upload the audio of the night time stuff, I don't have time to sit and watch it but could listen to it at work at least.
When John Drake talked about the Sony conference, Alex could not wait to remind him of the official Giant Bomb position. He's really proud of their groupthink.
That Palmer Luckey stuff was pretty bad. Not the interview segment itself, but his responses. Fleeing directly to "IMAGINE A WORLD" when confronted with relatively gentle questions about the issues surrounding VR was a very, very bad look. Particularly with all of this DRM fuckery.

For me Occulus went from frontrunners/innovators to dead last real quick over the last couple of months.
It's a giant missmanaged mess. They have terrible distribution pipeline, terrible propriatery software with DRM and locks out a ton of stuff. The hardware is good but not necessarly the best, nothing making them stand out over the other two anyway... Especially right now without their controllers.
They literally have nothing in their favor right now if you compare them to the Vive.
lol I just saw that Konami burn too.
They are talking Scalebound on the GS stream with Kamiya. I know it didn't look great in the conference, but man I still feel there is potential there with the amount of time left.

He just showed me that VR isn't for me when he told that is goal is to replicate human interaction.
That's exactly what I don't want out of it. I like the real thing better.

Dan found the Naughty America VR booth. If we don't hear about them trying that shit I'll be really disappointed.
I need report from VR porn, from Drew.
Drew is the third character in Summer Lesson. You teach him to play il-2 sturmovik.
That Job simulator from Vive was hands down the most interesting VR demo/game I have seen. It's one of the only things that really made me want a headset
Lmao, don't we all?
Such a peculiar reason to dismiss it.
YES! The supercut of the Dan and Austin food running gag

If I can get the real thing what does VR offer me?
"Oh, here's a way of socializing that's close that emulates physical presence but it's not where near as good"
It's not for me.

I thought that too, but it's a really shallow experience in the end. I haven't even tried half of the jobs in it before I got bored. My wife likes it though.
I really enjoy Holopoint, Audioshield, Hover Junkers and The Lab. House of The Dying Sun and Elite are great as well and Theblu makes me wish I smoked weed still, as sitting on the floor after a few bongs in that experience would be great.
Did you actually interpret that to literally mean its singular goal is that? When people create video games to replicate social interaction, do you question your connection to video games as an entire medium too? Have you warded off cellphones because you recognize your ability to talk with other people in person? What about this forum? Why are you on GAF if you're just typing text into posts?

Guys... My GTX 1080 just shipped so with a bit of luck I'll have it on Friday.... I'll finally be able to play Doom yayyyy
Do I have to be a premium member to watch their streams? When does their streams for E3 start? I have been watching mostly EZA stuff, but I love Giant Bomb too and want to make sure I see both perspectives.
Thanks =)
Anyone know where we can get Tekken Tag Tournament for free? That's what was said in the presser, but I cant find the link.

Has this worked for anyone? It shows $19.99 for me.

It is his goal, he was pretty obvious about that.
And those experiences don't mimick physical interactions and don't try to replace that. They are means of communication, sure but the barrier is there for me.
I feel like trying to replicate face to face interaction but in a virtual setting to be something I just can't relate to or do I want to relate.
If you want or like that then cool. I'm talking from my personal point of view so no need to get all rilled up.
And I've maintained tha VR isn't about games so I'm not even talking about that. Altought in that regard is pretty simple as I haven't seen a VR game that interests me.
EDIT: also, to add to your question, yes I question when video games try and replicate interaction. I tried to play Persona once and the whole "making friends" and the fake social aspect of it really turned me off of the whole thing.
