Loved Aonuna's reaction to this - he basically laughed it off like shit happens, seems like a chill guy. Poor Bill looked really embarrassed.

Mourinho and the career mode reveal in FIFA was awful. Having a genius like Carmack reduced to the role he had was also terrible.

Didn't see the comments in the Treehouse thread but I was following it during the breaks in the stream. Came back to it at one stage and it was closed, Didn't know what had happened, should have guessed. Fuck sake people.

The EA conference as a whole seemed focus-tested to death. Everything revolving around "Play" as this high concept marketing piece was mind bogglingly eye rolling. I'm not really interested in the games they showed-- ME doesn't count since it was another behind the scenes vid-- but marquee stuff like BF and TF seemed like solid entries into their respective series. Peter Moore is likable enough as a presenter, but Andrew Wilson looked like he walked straight out a David Cage game. Press X to "Play!" and all that.

And the post-conference celeb interviews were a beautiful train wreck.

It was in CA and I assume that Snoop has a prescription. Method Man and Redman performed as Konami's booth a few years ago. There wasn't any smoking on camera, but the area near Konami's booth smelled "medicinal". (The booth's for big publishers are more than just a booth. They usually have a back area with doors and multiple rooms. Microsoft and Sony had two story booths.)

Literally the least cringe-worthy and most natural sounding faked commentary that's ever been in an E3 trailer. Am I alone in thinking this? I think GAF is getting too cynical.

Did you listen to it? Do you actually think anyone's group of friends will talk like that while playing the game?

Honestly this E3 seemed to have far less "cringe" than the usual. Part of that is probably due to things like no Nintendo conference and Sony just showing trailers and demos with very little talking in between.
