Corbyn is screwed
Corbyn's Ipsos satisfaction ratings from LAB voters at lowest point since he became leader
I like Corbyn, but even I'm left to ask "who is this guy?". I've basically forgotten the Labour Party exists.

They came to the conclusion the burden is worth being part of the eu. They do tons of business in the eu as opposed to weatherspoons. How can that be the end game specifically for Weatherspoons and not all other big businesses that are backing remain?
He mentions "regulation and red tape" so this is likely to be exactly what he means.
Though he also thinks the UK will be more prosperous, therefore I guess more spending on nights out?
He lies through his teeth about better wages...

pure greedy exploiting wanker.
Ah I see. A guy I used to work with graduated in 2008 so suddenly found traineeships very difficult to get. Ended up just working in marketing and helping people with some advice on the side for landlords and the like.Never did get a training contract, 50-something trainees being not much in demand, so opened shop instead. Do quite a lot of legal stuff as a hobby though.

EU referendum- a load of high profile right wingers flinging shit at each other.
you make a point that is worth exploring, I hear a lot of the time people say it is not EU's fault but your Goverments fault that allow people like him to exist....
So if Goverment can not grow the balls to deal with people like him and Mike Ashley (you should read the article on the town that is located where his warehouse is, if you want to see what mass immigration can do to a area) then how can we trust them to provide the infrastructure needed going forward

This is also why I can't fathom leftys getting into bed with these type of hyper neoliberal nutcases. He mentions "regulation and red tape" so this is likely to be exactly what he means.

after plenty of back an forth I've decided to vote Remain.
Mainly due to the terrible campaign run by Leave. Focussing so much on immigration has been a massive turn off. I do believe there is possibly a good reason to leave but we've not heard it as leave would rather it pandered to peoples fears over immigration.
Also if you're siding with the daily mail, britain first, farage and alexander boris de pfeffel johnson you're obviously doing something wrong
yep, it is a gut feeling.... I dont have the hours to look at every expert in details
My philosophy on the broad subject:
I think many people have strong gut reactions on encountering certain people who are different to them - a pure animalistic response; an Other who My People should be protected from; I think there's a stage where it's a pure emotional response without any justifiable foundation.
The problems - racism, sexism, homophobia, anything like that - come from people who seek to justify that emotional response in itself, rather than recognising it for what it is and permitting your brain to overrule it.
(I think this stretches further when you couch it in terms of 'challenging a belief', too; the same principle applies; many people will place more faith in a belief - because if they genuinely wholeheartedly believe it they can't countenance that belief being incorrect - than in the rational explanation of what they're encountering)

Tax credits helped in the short term but in the long term just meant govt picking up what should be the employers tab. The Idea was decent but didn't take account of human nature. We cant trust our government especially not a tory one who has always basked in exploiting the poor working class to make everyone else richer, saddest thing for me was despite Labours attempts in 1997 onwards, they did not do anywhere near enough to rebalance the situation, and now the poor have jumped on the lets blame EU instead of who actually is to blame, nothing will change if we Brexit apart from more austerity, sad but true.
Sadiq was quite right on calling out Gisella Stuart last night for that reason, absolutely shocking for anyone in the Labour party to go to bed with Johnson and Gove. Shows utter disregard for the working class, i grew up in Glasgow in the 70s and 80s, where some days we couldnt eat and had to beg for help off the church etc. I always believed it would get better, now with food banks etc it is way worse, austerity has made the poor even poorer and Osborne and his cronies richer, sad stuff.

So did the bonus £40 a week for a year with long term unemployed. Now they just get the stick and I fear for the sick and unemployed if we're voting out.

Yep food banks now being an accepted part of society is a huge disgrace and is truly how the tories legacy will be remembered by historians. It's a symbol of their entire time in govt.
Edit - I'm from paisley myself so I've seen how things have changed in the last 6 years hugely.
you left out Murdoch and the Sun
My mother went through the esa shit after being retired by the council. It was horrible then I worked in the tribunals office in Wellington st, I saw first hand normal people in need of help losing because they don't know the ins and outs of our confusing system. So do i, they will be wheeled out by IDS into the fields to pick strawberries and i am not joking i believe going by the Tory party right taking over after brexit , they will piss on the poor and sick and disabled. I have a sick nephew with late stage cystic fibrosis, and the trouble he had getting benefits when he applied made me resent the government and labour party for starting that shit so much i voted SNP for the one and only time in May.
Was out campaigning with a very senior figure today.
Spoke to a 95 year old ww2 RAF pilot. Said it's breaking his heart to see the generation below him ruin the country while they sit safe on occupational pensions. He was sad that all that his generation fought for could be thrown away for the reasons they fought against.

Then you'd get the fucking ned with a fake bad back getting through because he knew it inside and out.
It's absolutely disgraceful how nobody cares about this being a normal part of our society. We're a hugely mean society now where nobody cares about anyone outside their circle until someone gets ill or loses their job then they see.The prevalance of food banks should be a point of national shame, and the fact that they're not is in itself shameful.

It's horrible. When they try to get the minority of cheaters it's always the normal people that actually need help that get caught out. Happens all the time with sanctions in jsa too because of technicality b.s.Yeah the neds piss me off, my sister claims money for being a drunk and basket case, fucking annoys the shit out of me seeing the real ones demonised because of a few selfish individuals.
and katie hopkins
I remember when Cameron was challenged on it, and all he ever answers is 'we don't want that'

When are the results out?
His generation fought against a unified Europe...
This Thatcherite 'fuck you, got mine' attitude is an absolute cancer on British society. It's depressing. It's absolutely disgraceful how nobody cares about this being a normal part of our society. We're a hugely mean society now where nobody cares about anyone outside their circle until someone gets ill or loses their job then they see.
And does he actually give a shit? Does he fuck, his policies are a direct cause of it.I remember when Cameron was challenged on it, and all he ever answers is 'we don't want that'

you can't just ask a company nicely and expect them to do something. it needs legislation for a large change like that, or better unionisation / workers rights.Dont disagree, but it is not just me voting leave, there is going to be millions (for both sides)
Now the problem is (unless you have a research team at your disposal) finding 'true' neutrals in this debate is proved to be nigh on impossible...
Where I hear Tesco, John Lewis etc etc all telling us of the ramification of a leave vote, no one else thinks, hold on a minute, what is your vested interest, suddenly big business are all about looking after people rights yes?
wrong, Tesco for example have been asked a 1000 times to pay a living wage, and do they? do they fuck, but suddenly them coming out for remain means they have no vested interest
His generation fought against a unified Europe...
Yep - we have to accept we'll have a minority of cheaters to stop those in need falling through the cracks. You'll never beat the minority because the only thing in their life is benefits so they know it inside and out.Ugh, this type of Kafka-esque nonsense is a blight on all modern governments.![]()

Probably don't presume to tell the WW2 veteran what he fought for.
