Steam Summer Sale 2016 |OT| It's better than nothing

Not open for further replies.
I went with:

Duck Game (FINALLY)
Mega Coin Squad
Traverser
Zenzisenzic
Westerado
Oblitus (All of the above mentioned were from the Adult Swim pack)
Lords of the Fallen GOTY Edition
Flat Kingdom
Tales of Symphonia
Borderlands: Pre-Sequel Claptastic Voyage + Vault Hunters Upgrade

That's all from Steam wallet, ~$52. I plan on buying a boatload more when I get paid in a couple days, haha.

The 2 ETS2 expansions are 70% off, this will probably do me for the entire sale. Steam sales in general are dead here in Australia due to horrible USD conversion rates.

Eg It is still cheaper to pick up Doom from other sources than at Steam's $47USD

How is Dead Rising 3 on PC? The Xbox One version kind of sucks.

I put 13 hours in to give it a try last week, and its buggy but gameplay is okay.

The performance is really inconsistent and my 970 + i5 2400 @ 3.8ghz couldn't lock 60 at 1080.

Additionally, there is some weird lighting/shadows bug where they flicker often.

If you can deal with jank it can be pretty fun and silly, but DR3 at its best is just fun and silly and never really elevates past that. I got 13 hours, maybe half way through the story, and I'm probably done with it.

Same unpatched bugs of One version, plus very unoptimized, it run very bad.

nope. I'm highly upset about it since they discount the game + season pass combo but not the season pass itself.

If you checked the package info, you'd see that the game + season pass combo is actually more expensive than buying the game and the season pass separately (granted, for only a couple of cents more, but the point being that the combo is "discounted" solely because of the game itself being discounted, while the season pass remains at full price).

The Witcher III, DOOM or Dragon's Dogma? I can only get one.

What say you, SteamGAF?

Dragon's Dogma for the combat alone. The Witcher 3 and DD are complete opposite ends of the open world RPG spectrum. They each do right what the other does wrong.

Is the campaign in World at War any good? I want to play a WW2 fps.

Also, how does Verdun play? From what I've seen it looks clunky, but maybe it plays better than it looks?

I'm just glad I was able to earn and sell those trading cards today. It was a nightmare trying to get through the queue, access inventory, and then having to use the damn app to confirm my listing.

Looking at my wishlist, it's a weak sale for me. I'm not sure I'm even going to get anything. Maybe SOMA or Darkest Dungeon, maybe.

Has anyone here played Rise of Nations? I just bought it but read that the multiplayer has issues. Considering I live in Belgium and the person whom I wanted to play it with lives in the Philippines, would I be better off refunding it?

Yeah, that Scandinavia DLC has been sitting on my Wishlist forever.

Seeings how I just got back from a vacation in Oslo & Stockholm last week, I think I'm kinda obligated to nab that pack at this point.

Anyone know any good coop or multiplayer games? Open world would be a plus.
The grind in GTA Online sucks. Need something to play other than Overwatch with friends

So I bought Arkham Origins because I love the Arkham games and its only 5 bucks. It feels like a ripoff Batman game. I don't really mean that as an insult but as someone who has spent a ton of time on the Rocksteady Batman games this one absolutely feels like a bootleg version of those.

Hell yes.

ITS SO GOOD!

These discounts are pretty bad. :/

FF9 not being $10 makes me cry blood. Why, Square-Enidos, why?!

Loved WoW back in the day, even did a veteran run (not one of my best ideas).

Killing Floor 2? Not open world, a bit like L4D.

Watch out for the building with no collision. You will just fall through the world.
Someone made a fix for it though.

Should be a good experience. Ran fine with lesser gear at 1440p for me.

Cool, thanks!

Is "Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky" a jrpg designed for PC ?

I heard some good stuff about it, but I don't feel like putting hours into it if it has cumbersome keyboard controls (like no mouse support for movement/menu and stuff).

It's made by Falcom, they have an impeccable record for amazing PC ports. EDIT: Apparently it was originally a PC game, did not know.

EDIT: Oh don't know about the kb/m support though sorry. I only use controller for most games.

technically it released as a pc title
