I don't remember I have it uninstalled on my Xbox one 😂 Last time I rage quit
Haha me too, I got to a section where I was escaping the working Joe's and just gave up. That reminds me, I wish I could switch difficulty for Alan Wake midgame, I started on hard but combat is more of a chore the anything yet I'm already in chapter 5.

Also what can I do with the trading cards gathered from this sale?

What should I get?

Dirt Rally
+ I like racing games a lot
- Bit pricey, $40. Not sure how much of a 'career' mode there is?

GTA V
+ I played it on PS3 and had a blast
- I played it on PS3 already, kinda expensive

Witcher 3
+ Supposed to be amazeballs
- Possibly a major timesink? I kind of prefer shorter gaming sessions.

Halp, gaf.

Dirt 3 Complete + Witcher 3 + Bully

Think I finally finished my list on what I'm going to get:

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Always Sometimes Monsters
Learn Japanese to Survive- Hiragana Battle
Hatoful Boyfriend Complete Pack
Downwell
Thief 2

Any changes that I should make? Debating whether to get the complete pack for Hatoful Boyfriend or just get Holiday Star.

witcher, it's a great game

Damage so far:

Age of Empires Legacy Bundle
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Civ V: Brave New World

Total: $15.45

I still have some money to spend. Problem is I'm relatively new to PC Gaming, so the sheer amount of options is just staggering to me. Been lurking through this thread for a few minutes for suggestions and my wishlist has nearly doubled.

Been eyeing up Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well, though I'm not convinced if it's for me or not.

I'm admittedly very biased as a long-term ETS2 fanboy (it's my go-to when I need a zen-like, relaxing way to pass the time), but yep, it's not for everyone - it does have a demo on Steam, however, so you can give it a go to size it up for yourself before inevitably buying it. :)

Dirt Rally is the souls of racing.

Have these in the cart:

SOMA
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Stardew Valley
Stasis

Ugh so much backlog! I shouldn't!

You can probably still find cheap copies of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes in b/s/t, it was in June's humble monthly.

The Witcher 3, it is amazeballs.

Picked up Hand of Fate based on positive talk here.

It's way fucking boring. Don't delude yourself into thinking that's a good way to spend your time. It's a bad card game mixed with a bad beat-em-up. If either part were good, people would still talk about it.

And Age of Mythology is still awesome.

I bought a few games and basically used the queue to fill out my gog wishlist when its available on gog. So many games and genres I didnt know about.

I have mixed feelings about Hand of Fate. I love the atmosphere and the set up. But it's definitely not a card game. Not at all. It's more like a roguelike where you pre-seed the world with your cards. The cards are just a display mechanism. The combat annoys me too though, if you draw a couple of former bosses in an encounter you're probably going to die. But it's unique and I keep going back to it occasionally because it's a decent short dose game. But yeah, if you were expecting a card game, it's not at all one. I was more disappointed because I thought the combat was Diablo-like and not Arkham-like.

I've been considering picking up Age of Mythology because I really wanted it when it was new, but I just don't know that I'd actually play it any. I haven't really played RTS games since, well, Age of Mythology was new.

Talking about it like this?
Still cant believe how deep the game had its hooks in me. The combination of deck building, RPGing, roguelike events, and simple but responsive (to controls and story decisions) combat was so, so, so good.

Seriously, people need to try Hands of Fate.
Awesome! Hand of Fate is fuckin' righteous and I really love it. Pleased to hear we are getting another. Great goddamned game!
Cool! The first game was superb and definitely looking forward to this one.
Well, I didn't see that coming. Outstanding news, though – first game is one of my favourites from recent years.
I'm on board. First one was the most pleasant GwG surprise I've ever played. Didn't know what to expect, and I wasn't able to put it down.
Hand of Fate is excellent

It's no Baten Kaitos obviously in look or game play, but I thought it's use of cards made for an interesting experience to at least try out.

It strikes me as a bit niche and rather experimental, and it's still pricey for me to jump at. But the people I've seen mention it in here absolutely love it. I suspect if it seems like the type of thing you'll like, then you probably will. It seems to have gotten a lot of free content updates as well.
.

Yeah. I highly recommend Thea. It's micromanagement-heavy by design, and so long as you don't mind that I think most 4X fans would enjoy it.

Like, it's a very good take on 4X, and there's really nothing else like it. There's some cool roguelike and RPG elements, and an interesting setting, that make it easy to fall into. I've sunk dozens of hours into it and only just scratched the surface of what's out there, and the devs recently patched in some more events to broaden its horizons even further.

Thanks. I bought it. As always, I don't know when I'll get around to playing it but I will.

So far I've bought Batman AK and Thea. Not a whole lot

Witcher 3. It is a time sink, but you will love it. Experience the best quest writing in gaming.

It seems Tomoyo After(Clannad spin-off) got a stealth release, and it is quite cheap with 20% off($15.99)...
I just got it, even though I really shouldn't expend more on this sale.

I think I'll probably only end up getting Hiragana Battle, Duskers (barely on sale but want to support the dev), Endless Legend: Shifters DLC, and maybe VA-11 Hall-A..even though it's not on sale at all. Most everything else on my list has been lower in the past.

Fallout 4
Witcher 3 + Season Pass
Doom
Hacknet
Salt

Have been all I've bought so far this sale.

Fallout 4, Witcher 3, and Doom because my GTX 1070 SC comes next Tuesday. I am hyped for that.

I have a key for Keep Talking from a recent Humble Bundle if you are interested. Willing to sell for whatever the going rate is/was on the b/s/t thread
Edit: just checked and it looks like $2

Currently in the cart:
Ys Oath in Felghana
Tron 2.0
Broforce
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Lucasarts Adventure Pack (Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis + Last Crusade, The Dig, Loom)

I've been trying to decide between this and Subnautica (Yeah I know they're pretty different)

What don't you like about it?

I own both. I been playing the funk out of Subnautica.

Long Dark just feels like a dying simulator. I think I just need to give it a good day to play, not a sit down and play for a little and then do something else.

Got gaming laptop and forgot how amazing steam sales were.

South Park: The stick of Truth £5.99
GTA: Trilogy £4.24
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate box £2.49
Fable Anniversary £4.04
Serious Sam 2 69p (because why not at that price)

Also bagged Undertale only to discover it has dropped in price the next day, unlucky but I am having such fun with it I dont mind.

My main problem is I still have a huge backlog from before I became PC less so will need to start getting through it all.

But why buy a game for £40 when you can get hundreds!!!

This might be the least I've spent in a major Steam Sale since I built my gaming PC (about 5-6 years ago).

Out of everything on my wishlist, I honestly thing the only thing I'll be picking up is the Dishonored DLC. The E3 footage of the sequel reminded me that I really liked this game and I really want to give it another play through, or at least the DLC which I've heard is very good.

Tough One. On the one hand, Dirt Rally is my GOTY last year over W3, but it is more a niche game than W3, so unless you really dig sim driving and rallying, W3 is the easier recommendation.

Dirt Rally's career mode is kind of nonexistent, a season is progression of stages, and finishing top 3 in a season results in moving on to the next rank. That's literally it. But it does have a lot of content. 6 countries with 6 tracks each (with reverse available) as well, plus hill climbs and super stages vs opponents. It's the driving model thats amazing, its a pleasure to drive and its so fast.

W3 has a great first half, but I ultimately thought the pacing and gameplay was kind of poor in the second. It's clear to me that the second half was rushed and unfinished to get the game out. There are way too many follow the marker and kill whatever is there quests. It is still a really good game, but I was ready to stop about 75% of the way through.

Did we ever find out if Minerva's Den for BioShock 2 is necessary to get the upgrade in September yet? Or. Pretty much all that's keeping me from checking out at this point.

Which one? 1, 2, 3, or RUtM? They're all pretty short, especially the first two.
Playing the 4th one (moon) right now. It's also surprisingly tough but I may just end up finishing this game before the sale ends too.

That'd be something, actually finishing what I buy before the sales are over. I did already finish Axiom Verge.

You'll definitely finish it if you keep up at it, I beat it in about 4 hours on my first run on Normal.

Oh good, time to beat it before the final sales day then. Store will update at July 5th right? The final day (4th) will last all day?

And I probably would be further but hard is goddamn hard.
