Well that was silly.
I had fun, because it's Street Fighter, and I've loved these characters for 25 years, but the story was weak.
When I heard it was 3-4 hours I thought great, they should be able to tell a comprehensive fleshed out story, but no.
The entire premise is ridiculous. So some random 'hackers' built some huge floating 'moons' that are going to destroy several cities, and these moons are activated by 6 cheese pieces, which are then mailed out to people like Laura and Alex for no discernible reason!?
Alex seemed to have no idea what that piece was or why he had it, and had no qualms juts handing it over to Dhalsim (who he thought was a mugger!? Lulz) without questioning what it is or why he wants it? Utter madness.
I mean I know, it's Street Fighter, you have to suspend your disbelief heavily while watching teleporting yogis and zombie army guys, but that just felt like poor writing, to have a random excuse to have all these fighters change each other all over the world.
I just wish it had a slightly more serious tone - I always felt that the SF2 animated movie got the balance perfect, something more similar to that would've been great.
On the plus side the music was brilliant, loved the track that plays in Helen's hideout.
And some of the voice acting was good, Rashid is very charismatic I'm glad he had a lot of screen time, I love his animations.
