We would at least understand what he hates about the game.

A mystery science theater style playthru was what i personally was hoping for.

I think the trolls are hilarious, but at the same time I'd rather they just simply honor the bets with a handshake and continue the high stakes betting specials than to lose (Bosman V. Huber) because someone didnt want to honor the real intention of the bet.

ALTTP shouldnt end the slussher cup bets...

That's giving it to much power.
 
Cmon guys, he's seriously just trying to be funny here. I don't understand why everyones blowing this out of proportions! They're friendly bets. This isn't something hostile act towards Huber...

I don't think it will end the bets unless weirdos like that "he's just being a prick" guy make them end the bets. And didn't he make it pretty clear what he didn't like about it? He even brought up the bed thing again as a point of comparison with Skyward Sword.

When you do bets like this between friends, you kind of expect some way of respect so they will work with your bet if they lose imo.

When the other person wants to quit, then you have a problem.

Im not upset at Kyle, i think its all in good fun...

But if its going to effect the betting special moving forward, then its time to settle down and realize what's really at stake here.

These guys are great together. In the past, First fifteen and Gt bets were the best. Huber says he's done with the betting if Kyle doesnt follow thru with the stakes he had intended (not the one Kyle loopholed it to be). We dont want to lose this duo with this new venture, this early.
That's one of the reasons why everyone is so passionate about all this.

If this is a troll show put on by both, bravo.

If Huber quits, then we get less intense betting specials from the others, from here on out. But they will never be as great as the OG Bosnan vs Huber! And any bet with Kyle and someone else will feel low stakes.
 
This is hilarious! It's something Andy Kaufman would've done. I like how casually Kyle does this with not laughing about it or being overly ironic. I like how straight faced he is doing this :)

Yeah, a glitch play through would have been ultimately disappointing I think because that's what we expected. That deadpan when he brings up the recorded stream is too good.

He also tweeted out the obligated tweet, and then replied to it saying it was a typo lol
 
I feel bad for Kyle, he no doubt did this in good jest and thought the community would find it funny too. People are now personally insulting him on here and in chat. It was always going to be this way, it's just a bit of fun. I hope this doesn't put him off doing things like this in the future.

I don't know about love, but for me it is not respectful at all. That said, there are much worse things which happened in the world the last few weeks.

I do like how they are managing this. In the end, as long as some people find this funny, I guess it is ok.

Kyle playing the heel is great imo, it's almost like it's all done for fun and games, entertainment and content, it's almost like.. he is doing it just to stir the fake pot.

Reading these reactions are giving me like second hand embarrassment. I can't believe people are taking this 20 times more seriously than the actual parties involved, who seem to be just having friendly fun with it...
 
I have to say, while I'd definitely watch a dumb game monday style lttp stream by kyle, I love that he's able to keep messing with everyone's expectations.

Most people expected him to glitch his way through the game, so instead he goes back to the wording of the contract and streams some else's playthrough instead. At the very least it's inventive. Though if I were the one who had bet against him I'd insist he needs to "complete the game" and whatever other language I could use to foil his schemes :)

I personally find the LTTP bet on the same tier of unreasonableness as the 1 hour standup. Committing to play a 15-20 hours game in no more than 3 sittings is pretty time restrictive on top of everything the allies have been having to do.


Holy crap, that sign off about playing a game you enjoy, not watching 18 hours of a game you don't love.

I don't think it's quite that long, even for your first run. Considering that these guys have done 7 hour Hearthstone streams and he had several weeks to fit it in, it's not that unusual. And he had to agree to the terms.

That's definitely true, it's pretty intense time wise and I'm sure Kyle has a lot going on. It's arguably not nearly as embarrassing as Huber putting on a puppet show though.
 
Kyle's trolls are one of the best parts of final bets, it gets me every time. And the fact that some people get so angry makes it even funnier. Don't take any of this seriously, it's not meant to be!

Yeah, I edited that out because I got to the end of the stream and he said he legitimately loves SS (I do too) and it was better to watching someone playing a game they love than a game they don't

For me Kyle abused their Twitch channel and did something really scummy, so I decided that I didn't want to subscribe anymore. It's pretty simple. I'm still a Patreon backer, but I can't support someone who uses Twitch to troll their viewers at that level. I don't like trolling.

I mean if you're really gonna talk legalese about contracts then I'm like 99% sure that there's a million precedents for the spirit of the wording being considered binding if it's something that should be reasonably understood upon by both sides

I'm not a lawyer, I'm just trying to make the council's decision more interesting if they want to go down that path





Also calm down and don't insult people no matter which side of the video game comedy bet you're on, jesus
