There certainly isn't much joy here, or game for that matter. I think the game could be awesome if it was more like actual pokemon with proper battles etc, but you're effectively playing a skinned swipe up accuracy game with AR and long breaks in-between. There just isn't much to it..

I'd like to believe the game is as much fun as you make it, similar to Miitomo. Sure, it's simple on the surface but if you're willing to put in the time and energy you can probably have a great time with it.

This might be the problem for me. I live in a village where there appears to be pretty much nothing surrounding me. There's one landmark near my office but I'm still yet to come across a gym today. The game should really account for this though, not all of us live in cities.

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier, I've the same issue.

It's also a bit barebone at the moment.

I hope they improve it, I'm sure it could end up being a lot better.

i think you can use 6 against a gym of a different color team. but training at your own teams gym is just 1 on 1

I'm not expecting this to go live stateside until this Friday. I'll remain hopeful that it gets released today, but sources have said it should be released in the next few days for the US.
