Dwyane Wade to Sign with the Chicago Bulls

Is that the primary reason? How much more than 40 for 2 years is he going to get in Chicago and what's the difference once we factor in no income tax in Florida? I bet the difference is negligible(for Wade, not you and me obviously).

Most of what I have heard has been through guys like Dan Lebatard, who has been a pretty reliable source for Heat news. Wade has been taking less money for the Heat and he has not been a priority these last few years. He probably just got fed up, imo.

Damn it's...crazy to think he won't be on the Heat. :/ Now we got Whiteside..

Any links or just shouting? And the rest of their cap was less than he was asking. Why are you making it sound like they were doing him such a huge favor? Clearly he could earn what he wanted elsewhere. So many delusions in this post.

Wrong. The initial reports said that the first offer, while Durant was still out there and Riley had googoo eyes, was 10 million a year.

Which royally pissed Wade off.

Was going to end at some point, hope he's happy at the end of the day. Kinda glad that I won't see him break down on the Heat at least.

Considering he ended up settling for a similar offer in Chicago, I take that as confirmation that it was deteriorated relationship with the FO.

He's been taking less money to win championships and anyway the difference between these contracts will be negligible when you consider the state income tax. He's got plenty of reasons to leave. If non of like 6 separate land minds go off in Chicago with a roster like that, he'll probably have a better time playing over there. But this money argument just makes him sound prickly and petty frankly. It's like he's that "it's about the principle" guy if the difference is the equivalent of 2 Ferraris.

Some players equate money with respect.

There was more than one offer. FFS

You really think he started looking on the 4th?

That tweet happened after the Durant deal was confirmed. There's zero coincidence in that.

I've seen nothing to contradict the initial 10 mill annually offer before Durant signed with GS.

So, we're going to hold the preliminary offer against the Heat? They offered more after Durant said no, I don't feel like that's unreasonable.

He left 25 million on the table for the team, he absolutely should have gone to the money. There's no point in him prioritizing winning over everything else anymore.
