I feel like veteran players are seeing how stacked the top of the league is and realizing they have no chance unless they sign with one of those teams. The alternative? Take the big contract playing for your hometown. Don't even worry about a championship, because unless you're Golden State, Cavs, Spurs or OKC (and maybe not OKC anymore without Durant), you've got no shot.

Eh, as a lifelong Bulls fan I'm just happy to see things getting mixed up. I've always like Wade and never really thought he'd come back to Chicago. Don't get me wrong -- this is a terrible move from a long term perspective. However, they need to fill seats and sell jerseys. This move will do that, for at least awhile. We shall see.
The rest of their cap wasn't market value, why should he take less money again? Don't blame Wade, this is 100% Riley.
He kinda is, though.

Bulls will pull a decent season in the weak East, maybe even a top 4 finish. Fill some butts in the seats and generate some press for the first time in a few years.

Wrong. The initial reports said that the first offer, while Durant was still out there and Riley had googoo eyes, was 10 million a year.

All that arguing about money when it really happened for two reasons:
A: Riley took his shot at Durant, bombed, and in the process treated Wade like shit
B: Wade saw that his loyalty and multiple championships got him jack shit in return

It was all the promises they made to Durant that broke Wade. After all the years he sacrificed putting the team before himself, he finally wanted to get taken care of and they spit in his face.

Wow this is crazy Wade leaving the Heat. He pretty much is that franchise before they drafted him they had no championships after they drafted him they earned three. The Knicks should have went after Wade a lot of teams should have.
