Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Pokemons should get their health back without spending tons of potions. This is annoying.
I don't know, make them full health after a 12 hours rest or something.

Yesterday I tried ti put a Pokemon in a gym my team owned, but ended up fighting a Pokemon there. I don't get it. Was it full or something, or do you have to beat an existing Pokemon to place yours there? What would have happened if I won? And what happens to the defending gym Pokemon if I win? Does it faint/lose HP?
Gyms have a level. This level dictates how many Pokemon can defend that gym. If there were no empty slots, you can't put a Pokemon there. You can fight the Pokemon, though. If you beat them, your gym's prestige will increase and eventually the level will increase. The Pokemon defending won't lose HP (not sure about yours).

No, you can't

You can replace your own pokemon with better ones right?

No way. Then I couldn't grind Pokeballs while I'm at work.

So lucky.

They lose hp but don't die. Which is nice since you don't have to waste revives on them. You still have to heal them though before they can train again.

It's pretty crazy that my friends decided on a place to eat lunch today based on whether or not it was a Pokestop.

I did this for both lunch and dinner. I'm on a work trip a thousand miles from home, so these mons are the only friends I've got (along with the rest of you Go degenerates).

I'm struggling to get a goldeen smh.

Does trainer level really affect Pokémon spawn rate ? I'm at level 13 and all I see is still beedle, pidgey and rattata along with sometimes their evolutions and in rare occasions a new pokemon

Well, it finally happened.

My mother called me to ask me how can she download Pokemon Go because the apple store is not letting her get it.

Fuck, now we'll see whether account stuff carries over while I redownload the app.

Hold me, bros.

Edit: not up yet on dutch app store.

i could simply update the sideloaded version, no need to redownload, which i see as confirmation that my APK was not a malware bomb lol

Just ran out of Pokéballs at level 15. Pokestops give you so much fewer of them at this level, plus that every encounter takes two or three balls to catch, at least.

You need ultra balls in your life

Ultra balls + berries have been incredibly clutch for me

OH SHIT THEY FIXED THE TRANSFER BUG!!!

The little map above the button would spawn as you scroll down making it a bitch to transfer mons but now it's smooth scrolling and it loads ahead of time!

I'm enjoying the game a lot, the only concern is that living outside a big city makes the game harder to play, to catch pokemon, to become stronger in less time...

But for now it's ok, I just hope they fix this, 'cause it's strange that Pokèmon are easier to find in cities and harder to find in the wild... :)

Any patch notes? Didn't see them in the play store

My haul tonight running from the Ferry Building to Pier 39 in San Francisco is 27 Magikarp, 20 Psyduck, 23 Tentacool, a Vaporeon, Golduck, Tentacruel, Rhyhorn, Dratini, & Dragonair.

I think I had a good haul.

Disappointed that my 10km egg hatched into an Eevee though.

Here's downtown San Francisco...past midnight...in the middle of the week...

Damn, thats more pokestops than I can visit using a car for 5hrs. Wish I had this many around, it would make walking more attractive that and not living in the desert.

Can we please put those screenshots into quotes?

It's a) hard to look at them in full reso and b) shitty to scroll

Yeah I'm doing that now, didn't realize how big the screenshots were on desktop. Been posting mostly on mobile, I think a lot of people posting here are too.

How do incubators work? Do I need the app running and just lock the screen while I'm walking around or can it tap into the system level steps info? Don't want to leave it running just for that.

Well, you gotta. It doesn't register shit when the app isn't opened.

What does the new apk mean for people who sideloaded? I can see it's up on the store, but it's not compatible with my device (it is). Do I need to hunt out a new apk from a mirror site?

Just curious, have people here already spent money on the game? If so, how much?

It makes me wonder if this app prints money. Because buying stuff isn't really necessary to enjoy the game.
