The Witcher III: Blood & Wine |OT| One last contract, one last plough

I highly recommend you
meet her again when the game gives you a chance
. The whole exchange is great, especially if you enjoyed the trailer.
Good I have a save left so I can check the other path out.

Every boss in HoS is a notch or two above the main game. They make the Wild Hunt fights look like a joke.
Yeah, they really are awesome. Even the
Toad
and above all - the
caretaker
. I also loved the final fight with
Olgierd in the mansion
.

It just makes me realize once again how awesome this expansion is.

Have a weird bug.

Anyone have an issue with the Wine Wars: Belgaard quests? I accidently ran into it and knew it was achievement related so I told both Wine owners that "I'll come see them later" But now the Wine Wars Belgaard quest is complete, and they are both stuck with the auctioneer.

How can I trigger both of their quest lines?

Tried talking to the auctioneer?

Tried talking to the auctioneer?

Yes, both Vermentino & Coronata are standing in front of the auctioneer, but whenever I try to talk to either of them it makes me talk to the Aucioneer instead and he's like "I can't talk to you right now, I have important matters to attend to!" or something similar.

I did hear that I may have to go trigger the quests manually by finding some of the tasks I need for each Wine owner. So maybe I'll try that.

I'm not at my machine atm but I believe it's called Heighten Tolerance. It ups the overdose level to 100% at full points.

Thanks, gonna check it out.

=============

Anyway, I just finished the main story and I really liked it.
I got the bad / worse ending because I didn't really think about my choices and just wanted to see the Unseen Elder. He sounded pretty badass and he was. Too bad Anna and Syanna both died though. Gonna get the good ending later, I still have a save before the quest 'Taking the castle'
.

The Dettlaff fight was pretty intense. Especially the part where he transforms, those batattacks are ridiculous on Death March NG+. Luckily I had that second life mutagen on. The loading times when dying didn't help my enjoyment of the fight either.
.

Great to see Triss in my house after the whole story
. Plus, Regis is a cool guy. I really liked interacting with him. Overall great piece of DLC and The Witcher 3 overall might be one of my favorite games I've ever played. I put so many hours into it and I loved it all.

Seems like it so far. I would have died many times if not for the skill that refills your life if you have instinct. Maybe my equipment isn't super good either, but it feels like the boss fights are far too long.

Holy shit, the
land of fables
might be my favorite part of the entire game. It's breathtakingly beautiful and the stuff that goes on in there is both hilarious and batshit insane.

Alright I must have missed something. What is
the land of fables?
I beat Blood and Wine and never heard of it. Is there a certain thing you have to do to get that quest line?

It might depend on which direction you go after the night of fangs. I only did one, so I cannot say as to what happens in the other, but if you choose to go get the Duchess's sister, you find out she's been trapped in a secret realm called "The Land of Fables" - needless to say, it's awesome.

It's a location you visit if you choose to save Syanna. You either visit The Land of Fables or The Unseen Elder. It's basically a giant illusion created by the former court mage and it's indeed really awesome.

Damn. Hope you have a save that'll take you back before that part of the game, because you need to see that world.

Booted up the game with both DLCs + latest patch today. I platinumed the base game around a year ago (1.04 patch). The performance upgrade after so many patches is mind boggling, and the UI improvements have made the game so much better. I'm pretty sure the DLCs are top notch as well. That ~35GB download was totally worth it.

Finally rolled credits on it. Got the tragic ending because even after
learning of the fifth victim and reading all journal entries, I antagonized Syanna in our last conversation. Still, it felt appropriately grim for a Witcher game. Ended up with Ciri showing up at the house, which was a great scene with her and Geralt talking shop. The scenes with Regis were great, too. I look forward to encountering him in the books.

I still need to actually finish Witcher 1. Never have gotten further than maybe halfway through. Maybe that's what I'll do. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Geralt. I also find myself hoping against hope that the Hollywood adaptation turns out well.

Indeed. I'm curious to see the other route but I doubt it's as awesome as this one.
Also, maybe that's too spoilerish?

What determines which character visits your house? Triss is in my house.

This seems odd, but is the Viper School Gear quest messed up in NG+? I just started NG+ and bumped the difficulty up to Death March, and did the Viper School quest and found both diagrams, but I can't craft them at the craftsman. All I can do is the upgraded hunter's armor.

Still trying to get a feel for how NG+ works, but it feels like I should be able to craft it now.

1. Triss or Yennefer depending on romance choice
2. If you didn't romance you get Ciri if she became a Witcher
3. If 2 and 3 don't apply you'll get Dandelion

#2 is actually if you Geralt ends up alone (so either romanced neither, or romanced both) and Ciri is still alive, regardless of whether she's a Witcher or the Empress. #3 is like #2, except it happens when Ciri is dead.

Huh. You mean the swords, right? The quest worked fine for me. I was able to craft them as soon as I got the diagrams. I would assume that you have all the ingredients and the money for it, so it must be a bug in your game then.

I'm going through the
save Syanna
path now and I already love the visuals in that quest. Way better than the other path. Love it.

Hi Gaf what do you use to take screenshots on your pc?

I'm using fraps with PNG but all my screenshots I take, which I have noticed with blood and wine the most, look somewhat faded compared to the actual game. They look washed out like as if I would turn dynamic range to limited, rather than full.

Really annoying me as I want my screengrabs to look exactly like they are from the game!!

Are you using the Steam or GOG version? If you're using Steam it offers in the settings the ability to capture a lossless PNG version in addition to the lossy JPEG version it saves.

Otherwise I use MSI Afterburner, which captures the original image accurately from what I've seen. Can be bound to any hotkey. Also has an excellent video capture function as well. Tried both OBS and Nvidia's own ShadowPlay and Afterburner is the clear winner for options and quality for the performance in my experience (however if set to a higher compression ShadowPlay is the better performing).

There are also some who use ReShade for AA/effects tweaks and its own screenshot function, though I'm not sure if they've implemented rebinding the hotkey yet.

I have the GOG version. I actually have afterburner and wasn't even aware of the screenshot facility so I shall try that!

Cheers :)

Even after 100+ hours of being impressed by the quests in The Witcher 3, I was absolutely blown away by the amount of production effort and unique assets that went into making that one quest. I mean,
it even has its own side quest within the quest
. Amazing.

I swear, the fight with
Dettlaff
on Deathmarch gave me more trouble than 90% of the bosses in Dark Souls III. It's that shitty-designed third phase that took me forever.

I hate the way Geralt switches to combat mode the instant an enemy is around. This forced animation sludge is probably my biggest grievance with the combat after 170 hours of play.

That explains it..I went after
The Unseen Elder instead
. When I eventually replay this game i'll definitely do the fairy tale quest.

Finished the DLC a couple weeks ago, enjoyed quite a lot, I'm now taking a break from the game before finish the main quest.

I loved severance+whirlwind+bloodbath combo

Finally started this, after completing Heart of Stone yesterday.

Did they crank up the saturation up 10?
It's like a completely different color palette.

Enjoying this so far, also liked the back end of Hearts of Stone. The season pass (purchased it just last month) was well worth it.

I doubt anyone here would know the answer to this, but does anyone know if the beehive glitch works on version 1.00? I tried it and it didn't work, and I did everything right as far as I know.

Yes, I know it's cheap, but I've always loved to mess around with bugs and stuff in games.

I think it's time for me to do a full replay of the game + expansions. Finish it before all the Fall stuff hits. How do I start NG+?

The Butcher of Blaviken!

Pretty sure the offer ended in June, so not anymore.

Son of a bitch! I've been upset about missing out on the Hearts of Stone physical edition when I could've ordered the two decks I'm missing separately, fuck! OTL

*sighs* Thanks for the info, though, at least.

With over 200hrs clocked, Geralt's journey has come to an end. What a ride, I tell ya! Thank you, CDPR!

Hard to argue that this is my game of the generation thus far. I purchased it at release, completed my first run by early July 2015.. I then purchased the season pass a week prior to the Blood and Wine release.. I finished 2nd playthrough (Death March, plat run) a week and a half ago, blew through Hearts of Stone, and here I am at Blood and Wine. I enjoyed Hearts of Stone, but B&W is the true crown jewel. I await the next 20+ hours. I have no idea what my total playtime is, but it's up there.

CDPR has a lot to live up to with their Cyberpunk game. I hope they do well.

The Bank- holy hell, I'm dying here.
This game delivers in so many ways.

Before you post anymore , you'll need the form T-66 on the 2nd floor and the form K-21 in the basement. Don't forget the B-32 form or else you won't be able to claim the T-66 .. it's important.

Quick , your post history is stored there.!!

110 hours later and the whole game is done.
I've never really played a rpg game before, so i hated the first couple of hours but did my best to stick around and i'm glad i did. Holy shit what a ride.
So many quests that'll stay with me, so many characters that i actually liked (normally i don't give a shit about virtual characters). This game truly deserves all the praise it gets and so does CDP.
I'm not sure if there ever will be a game that's gonna come close to this one, because The Witcher did so many things perfect.
Ending spoilers:
Saved Ciri, saved Olgierd and both the Henrietta sister.

I am done as well. Started the game in May 2015 and fully finished it today, of course not playing it everyday but having played this throughout the year with the DLC's was awesome. What a fantastic game, one of my favorite games I've ever played. Loved the stories, the quests, the characters and the choices you could make.

Too bad the ingame timer for your played time is bugged. It says I've put in 400 hours which is bullshit.

Came in this Thread to write the exact same thing. The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece and I am really going to miss the Geralt. Usually not a fan of a season pass, but the way they improved the game and provided high quality content to us is phenomenal.
