Putting rice in a burrito is like putting pineapple on pizza

Wow, thank you OP, that is an abomination indeed, and it seems to be an America-only thing because burritos down in Mexico are riceless.

Also, the only fruit that belongs in a pizza is tomato, anything else is a travesty.
This post is beautiful

pizzarito enchiladas lasagna

burrito with your pizza topping and all that. rolled to fit in a casserole dish. layer it with cheese and all that goodness like an enchilada. do like 3 layers.

There is such a fundamental difference between burritos and burros. Burritos are doomed to be the diminutive step-brother of texmex origins of the superior, rice-less burro found south of the rio grande. Refried beans are the only acceptable companion for any guisado. Barbacoa y lengua, por favor.

Perdónalos señor.

No hablo espanol o comprendo mucho tu posto.

Pero, me gusta burrito con o sin arroz porque es muy bueno. Si o no? El answer es si; es question es rhetoricales.

Personally, I think just because the original/authentic version of a particular food does not contain a certain ingredient doesn't mean having that ingredient is awful by principle. Just because something is Americanized does not make it inherently bad. I think rice works super well as a filler in burritos.

I think we can all agree that pineapple on pizza is some heretical shit, though.

And by "we" I mean "those of us who matter." >.>

Hey, OP. you're wrong and you should feel bad.

My Quesarito had Mexican Rice, pinto beans, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, chicken and steak, cheese, lettuce, creamy cilantro sauce, light sour cream, medium and hot salsas, and guac plus lime.

HEAVENLY.

Plus, pineapple/pepperoni/sausage on pizza (with jalapeños, crushed red pepper, and grated parm) is fire. You're absolutely mad if you think either of those are bad food.

I like both of those things. Rice in a burrito is awesome and pineapple and ham is one of the best pizza combos.

If I'm wrong, I don't want to be right.

This is a strange bump, but it is also a topic near and dear to my heart. I used to live in San Diego, you'd go order a carne asada burrito, no place would even think about sticking rice in there (and beans, for that matter). Now I'm up in the Pacific Northwest and every place wants to load your burrito with rice and beans. It's just cheap filler making less room for meat and a bunch of unnecessary carbs to boot. I always have to specify to keep that garbage out.

On the flip side pineapple and pepperoni is one of my favorite pizzas.

thank you, you are one of the few who understands.

It tastes good to me, but yeah, it's clearly there to cut costs. They could put more guacamole, meat or cheese in there, but instead go for the cheapo option

Kevin Durant didnt come to Boston because of this thread Bread. Remember that. Remember that you didn't do it because of you.

The real enemy of burritos are people who put lettuce in them mothafuckas.

Can we as Californian's just come together long enough to realize that pretty much everyone outside of our state eats shitty burritos / Mexican food by comparison. Maybe New Mexico can compete. Texas's version of Mexican food is terrible.

Absolutely. I don't even wanna hear it if you're not from California.

To the topic. I like rice in my burritos and beans, but never together. I judge whatever place I may be at on the flavor of the meat, so rice and beans together will definitely dumb it down.
