can someone confirm that this shot is straight up in the movie?

HarleyqLG.jpg

Not the exact shot but it was damn close.

You know what? I think Deadshot and Harley had more on-screen chemistry than Joker and Harley. Deadshot should get his own movie.

I was expecting them to kiss or down things eventually, but that's just Will and Margot. Watch Focus, they just ooze chemistry.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I think so many are feeding into the negative reviews and going in biased. It's not amazing by any stretch but it's still a good movie.

Just got out, need time to process my thoughts more. But I'd love to see a sequel. Will killed it.

Just got back from seeing this movie... woooooow is all I can say. For the entire 10 minutes Joker was on screen, all I could do was beg for him to get back off. Going into this movie, my biggest fear was that Leto was going to try too hard. Surprisingly, I don't think he tried too hard, but my god was the Joker just not interesting at all in this movie.

I think my favorite characters were probably Deadshot and Enchantress (those effects! Holy shit!)

Terrible movie. What a mess. Dialog felt like we jumped into the middle of conversations sometimes. Too much Will Smith. Soundtrack wanted to be edgy but just sounded cliche. Score was forgettable. Worst film Joker to date. Leto went all "total immersion" or whatever for this script? What a loon.

Batman vs Superman was better, even before the director's cut.

edit: This movie NEEDED to be rated R. I got so tired of hearing "ass" and "shit" because I knew they couldn't go Deadpool on us. What a waste.

edit 2: Diablo's scene where he finally starts to fight was totally flaccid and lacked any kind of dramatic punch.

This was the worst movie I've seen in recent memory. I can't tell if I hated BvS or this more. All I know is I"m done with DC movies.

Nothing in the movie made any sense. Literally nothing.

It was so bland and seemed to drag on forever.

I have never walked out of a movie before in my life. Not once. I had more than one moment while watching Suicide Squad that I felt like walking out. And I was seeing it for free.

Ugh, I just remembered how Diablo's spelling of "BYE" with fire was the worst way to end a pretty solid character scene.

Ditto. I've never walked out but considered it. Unfortunately, I was with a group.

i walked out to check my phone out of boredom for a few minutes halfway through but couldn't actually leave because i was there with my family

how's the Bat's cameo?

Serviceable. It's not like he gets to do much other than capture bad guys in flashbacks, though, and even the captures aren't that great. The most he gets to do is in his scene with Deadshot, but it's such a hokey and sentimental scene.

Batman: I don't want to do this in front of your daughter.

Then don't. Wait like, 5 minutes. He's walking her home.

how's the Bat's cameo?

Was disappointed when people said 90 seconds but honestly it did its job.
Only thing Batman related the movie needed was that Katana was secretly working for Batman, especially because she had absolutely no reasoning or explanation for being there.

Loved the movie! It was a lot of fun, especially any scene with Harley and Deadshot. Hated killer croc, his design and the way he talked was obnoxious. The joker was ok, too short of screen time to really judge, and the villain(s) were incredibly boring

The Arkham breakout felt like it was a full scene at some point and not just a series of shots for Waller to monologue over.

Oh boy, why did I read the comments.

WB probably didn't wanna risk pissing off feminists and SJWs, this X-Men promotional image alone caused SJWs flip off and accuse Fox of sexism, imagine what would they do if they saw an entire movie with a woman being abused? This is probably why all the scenes of her being hit by the Joker were removed.

Batman "kissing" Harley was such a weird moment. Like it was filmed more as if Batman was intentionally kissing her than giving CPR. But the way it ends makes it seem like Harley tricked Batman into kissing her but she never grabs him before it happens so it just looks like Batman goes in for the smooch and she likes it.

So why exactly was stopping the enchantress a job for the suicide squad? Was the flash who we see stopping my dude from robbing a bank not watching the news to see that their is an extinction level event happening?

What is your guys definition/example of not just a good Super Hero movie, but an amazing, excellent one?

How many have there been in the last 20 years?

It was hilarious.

Yes Harley, your moment has finally come to take down Batman

It's when your entire lower half is pinned by the car, you're underwater and holding your breath, and you just got knocked out by going through a windshield after driving the car into the river

oh btw you can't swim too

Which is totally unnecessary. Who in the audience thought it was a hoax?

Boomerang, because he's retarded

This. I mean, they also made it absurdly transparent that that was the guy's only function in the movie. I mean, from his short introduction you could basically already tell when and how the guy was gonna die...

Worst soundtrack of the year?

Like, holy fucking shit, the music never stopped. It's like they couldn't think of any way to make the movie hip and cool without having a pop song blaring in every scene.

The Dark Knight is the best one.

Boring answer, I know, but as someone who's seen 'em all, I think it's the only "great" superhero film.

Steven Price's score really got shafted in that regard IMO. Listening to it on its own the movie really didn't make the most out of it.

flash would have disarmed the situation like 15 seconds after waller realized enchantress went rogue and then you wouldn't have a movie.

but yea it makes zero sense.

The only time I got annoyed with the songs was when they were having the Squad flown in and Seven Nation Army was playing...even when they were talking

Like cut that out, the song has lyrics in it

Because it wasn't on the news. The government was covering it up and everyone in the city had turned into mooks so no one was around to tell people.

I had the same reaction to The Joker but I don't think I'd be too concerned with Leto in the role. He just didn't have much of a place in the film; this iteration of the film anyway. I think it could've worked better if you had The Joker as a looming presence over Harley, but not actually have him appear - him showing up just detracts from the main story.

Anyway, just back from seeing it. Shades of Green Lantern all over again. Granted, I do think there were one or two elements of this that were decent-ish - I liked Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie wasn't too bad as Harley Quinn... I suppose that's about it actually. My initial reaction when it ended was that it's mostly just a bunch of random scenes set to the worst playlist you've ever heard (save for one or two tracks).
